“Great location on the Strip”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

Hotel is an average stay. Standard room s 2 Queens...have to pay &15/night to upgrade to a king. Now charge a mandatory resort fee $18/night which includes Wifi and gym access. Small pool, with lounge chairs. You can rent Cabanas. It was hot while we were here, so pool was busy.

If you are looking for a lower priced hotel on the strip...this is your choice! If you are looking for luxury...this is not for you.

Casino is smoky and older. Good variety of slots.

Comfortable, no frills stay! We will likely be back.

Room Tip: Carnival Tower is newer. Get a room higher up if you can. Elevators are quick.

Green Features: Sound good....glad that this is happening. Keep it up!

This is a great hotel if you are budget conscious and want to be on the strip. We had a basic room which I believe was in the Carnival section. It was an ok room and very basic. I had kids with me and they like to be on the internet. Harrah's has the worst wi-fi connection. It was very spotty and we had to use our data plan to get a good connection. And you know how expensive that is.

We ate breakfast at KGB which was expensive and not very good. I give that a 1 on a scale of 1-5. We did not eat there for lunch or dinner.

Overall, if you are trying to save money so you can do other fun things while in Vegas, then Harrah's is good for that.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with pets, then Harrah's charges a very high fee. The pet area outside of...

Not a place to expect a good or fun time. This is one old casino with rooms that are very antique. Not even a safe in the rooms. No coffee pot and no sufficient water to shower in. This is the only place I have stayed in Las Vegas that I have considered a failure of an experience.

We have stayed at Harrah's many times over the years. We noticed the first day that drain in shower was not working properly. When you got out of shower there were several inches of water in tub because drain was so slow. Reported this the next day and someone was sent upto repair. Evidently they could not correct problem as we had to deal with this during whole stay. Also, noticed on more than one occasion dirty hallways that needed to be vacuumed. The best thing about hotel is location and a reasonable price. If you are not on a limited budget I would suggest staying elsewhere. Also, slots are so tight in casino it is very difficult to win anything.

Room Tip: request a room away from the Carnavel Court where there is loud music

We just returned from a 3 day weekend here. Check in was disorganized- there are no ropes or designated area to line up so they were people standing around everywhere. We asked to be put in a quiet room. We got a room on the 26th floor in the Carnaval tower. It was quiet and facing away from the action which was perfect for us. The room was clean but had few amenities. Our wall safe was broken. You cannot use the in room fridge without buying the mini bar and having it set up which was a big disappointment. There are only 3 very small drawers to put your clothes in. The shower handle was broken and there is no bathroom fan at all. The other observation I had is that the hallways were dirty. There were room service dishes and garbage that were not picked up for many hours. The halls look like they are never vacuumed. Lastly, if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing earplugs. The walls are very thin. We could hear every word of the people's conversation in the room next to us. We could even hear them using the bathroom. We got a very good deal so if I could get that low of a rate I might stay here again. Otherwise I think I will look elsewhere next time. For those looking into staying here- don't forget to add $18 plus tax (ends up being about 20 bucks a day) in "resort fees". It doesn't matter if you don't use the pool, fitness facility etc- you will be charged a daily resort fee.

Thank you for the review. While we are pleased you enjoyed yourself in general, we regret that you experienced an inconvenience at the front desk due to disorganized check-in, as well as broken room product. We hope you will consider staying at Harrah's again on your next visit.

We always stay at Harrah's when we go to Vegas and that is at least twice a year. My husband likes it because it is a smaller casino and hotel , and easier to get around in. It is a great location for Casino hopping and The Oyster Bar is an excellent restaurant . The buffet is great and they have a new bar called "The Signature Bar " . It is very comfortable and has a wide array of beverages.
The entire staff at the hotel is great.

Room Tip: The beds are very comfortable and the rooms was very clean. Great housekeeping staff ,

Reasonably priced enjoyable place that has a fantastic buffet. Upgraded rooms are worth the up charge. The staff is friendly and so are the guests. I recommend getting a players card to reap the benefits especially the 24 hour buffet pass.
