I stay at this hotel two or three times a year. Not right on the strip, but very convenient to the clients/events that I see when I am there. Always clean, very comfortable, and very friendly staff. They seem to know very little about the Delta Crossover Rewards program (in all fairness, this is a constant problem at Starwood Hotels). I am a Diamond Level Skymiles member, and am supposed to get auto upgrades when space is available. The upgrades at this hotel appear to be limited to a room on a higher floor, a robe in the room, and not much else. Disappointed, but not enough to stay somewhere else.
Welcome back! Thank you for your review and continued loyalty to the Westin Las Vegas Hotel – Casino and Spa. We are happy to hear that our convenient location worked well for your business trip. I've been here for just one in get but every single thing was perfect. My bedroom was huge, my fantastic king size bed was one of the best I've slept, the room service food was delightful, the pool was lovely and the staff very nice.
I'm just looking forward to come back as soon as possible! :)

The front desk agents were very nice and quick to get us in, check in was a breeze which was great after the long drive out to Vegas. We stayed on the SPG preferred floor in a King room. The room was good size and very clean. The room was just a block from the strip so it was an easy walk over there but was far enough back we didnt have to deal with all the noise. Only complaint is that the pool was very small and there was not a mini fridge available for guest use in the room.

As a Platinum SPG member I try to find Starwood properties whenever possible. Tried this spot but normally frequent some of the more high end places on the strip. This is not a place that is typical of what you'd expect at a Westin. The physical plant is just ok, and the casino parked right in the middle of the lobby is problematic. That said, there are flashes of what you might find at a Westin... the great bed, SPG amenities. I liked the fact that it's away from the craziness of the strip, but just a couple of blocks, so getting anywhere is easy... and it's in the middle of the strip which makes getting around better than if parked on one of the ends.
We were greeted by a pro... Blake at the SPG reception desk is a real pro... and understands what hospitality is all about. We also encountered other excellent employees... particularly Oscar in the restaurant for breakfast.
The food at the property is very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent... should have an omelet bar or ability to have the kitchen provide if desired. Our lunch at the pool, sandwiches, were fantastic, esp. the club sandwich.
The "happy hour" at the pool is a real joke. Mobs of people, long waits. Not worth the bother.... we took one look and left.
So, ok if you need an SPG stay, or can get a great rate... don't use points as the value is poor going that route.

We only stayed for one night, a pre Labor Day stay over. I arrived prior to check in and was greeted by Karina, who welcomed me over to the SPG desk to check me in. I was traveling on an employee rate, so my expectations were already based on the standards I've been accustomed to. Just walking through the doors started to achieve them. Karina was great, I was given a room on the 10th floor. The room was extremely clean. The bed was comfortable and welcoming.
After settling in, I decided to go downstairs and hit up the 24hr Starbucks (this could've been far more dangerous for a Starbucks addict like myself, especially if they had Pumpkin Spice already.) the Starbucks was adequate, I'm used to ordering a pastry and being asked if I wanted it heated, instead I was given my selection still in it's wrapper. That was a bit off for me. Played a machine, just to get it out of my system, and headed to the outside world.
I really appreciated the actual location and it was close enough and yet far enough away from the Strip. I walked down, checked out The Cromwell and was going to venture further out, but had to return back to the hotel to attend to some work issues back in MD.
My partner finally arrived after his flight was delayed by two hours, I stopped by the Front Desk and had the pleasure of meeting Rosalina, one of the Night Auditors, who answered some questions I had, and she shared some insights of Hotel life in Vegas, which I greatly appreciated.
We ventured out for a late night dining option (had a suggestion from a friend to try Ellis Island, my relationship with that friend is now being reconsidered now) I'd be mindful of your options for late night dining. We returned back to the hotel pretty late and called it a night.
My partner woke up early and headed out to GBF pool and hot tub, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and noted the view of the Linq, located directly adjacent to the hotel. We checked out shortly after.
Overall we had a great experience and I would actually consider transferring to this property should a position open up.
I look forward to staying here the next time we find ourselves in Vegas.
