I stayed at this hotel during a pleasure trip to Vegas and found it to be a good value. The hotel rooms are newly renovated. You actually get a lot of space and nice furnishings for a moderate price, which is nice. However, do note that what you get as a discount on the room, the hotel makes up for elsewhere. If you need a spoon or access to a microwave…that’s extra. The Stratosphere is near the bottom of the main strip, but is close to old Vegas. I would recommend this hotel as a good value to anyone visiting Vegas for a short trip.

Also, visit the Top of The World Restaurant...good food and great view!

Room tip: If you hate smoke, get a room on as high a level possible.

This was the second time I have stayed here and it will be the last t time. The bath room was the worst I have ever attempted to use. The shower head was hard to reach to adjust. The bath soap was terrible! The speaker in the TV was so bad that it was hard to understand what was being said. The remote for the TV was very hard to adjust. I was not able to use the express checkout through the tv for it was not accessible. The escalators and elevators were not always working and had to go through the casino to another set of elevators to get back to our room. Overall, it was the worst experience we have ever had and would not stay here again for it is also to far from other casinos.

We were lucky this year got a great rate from expedia for the king suite at this hotel.
Check in was a breeze even allowing us to check nearly 2 hours early which was a bonus. The rooms themselves are huge to say the least 2 really big rooms to spread out in. My daughter thought it was great how she virtually had her own room to her selve . They are well maintained and the staff do a great job in keeping the standards. The casino is not to smokey and seems to be well layed out with not to many machines and just enough tables to keep every body happy. Again the free access to the tower was a real bonus and my kids loved the rides at the top. I am not so daring.
My only slight let down was the buffet breakfast but that was my fault because i thought it was a little expensive for breakfast till i realised it was a brunch not just a breakfast buffet.
Overall another great stay at the strat and if i can continue to get great rates i hope to be back soon

From a non-gambler who went for a family reunion and local hikes, this hotel was a perfect fit. Three family members met from different parts of the country and stayed here for 4-5 nights. The price for the room was very inexpensive considering the location. It is on the strip, but more importantly, it is easy to get in and out of. This cannot be said for all of the hotels on the strip. We easily accessed the freeway to visit natural landforms such as Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, and Mount Charleston. At night we visited art displays at the Bellagio and saw Cirque de Soleil "Mystere" at Treasure Island Casino. Use the valet parking at the Stratosphere. It is free for guests. I tipped between 5 and 10 dollars each time, well worth it considering that I have paid up to 20 dollars in parking fees at other hotels per day. A ride to the top of the tower for sunset is well worth the 15 minute wait for the elevator. Admission is included in the price of the room. There is a nice pool on the 8th floor, but it is sadly only open from 9-5. The Steakhouse is elegant with a great happy hour. The diner is nice, with reasonable prices and good comfort food with a twist. I highly recommend this hotel for the tourist.

Room tip: Ask for a room above the 15th floor in order to view sunsets and sunrises on the spectacular Nevada skyline.
