Stayed here for a week in Nov 2013. Fantastic room, super clean, comfy and quiet. Outdoor rooftop pool area spacious with a great view of the tower and people doing the sky-jump. Casino very nice. Walking distance to Pawn Stars store (about a 30-40 min walk, through sketchy looking area). Restauraunt buffet good but pricey. The best option is to buy an all-day pass for around 30$.

We stayed at the hotel for my daughters birthday. House keeping did not bring clean towels or clean the room for 3 days even though we asked several times for them to do so. We also booked tickets for a show at the Rivera through the concierge at the Stratosphere. We arrived for the show 45 minutes early to find that the systems were down to issue our ticket even though we had already paid $100 for them. The system did not come back up in the 45 minutes but they still refused to let us see the show. They finally let us in late for the show with worse seats than what we had paid for. When asking for a refund both the Rivera and the Stratosphere did not want to help - so be advised when booking shows. The casino is very smokey and not very pleasant for non smokers.

The hotel is quite nice, prices are good and rooms are huge, with king sized beds TV and a nice bathroom with a bathtub.

There are bottomless all you can drink offers everynight at the bar and the restaurant "The Roxy's" is very good With reasonable prices.
Despite all this, I think it needs a few improvements and the first and most important of them all is soundproofing rooms, between rooms is alrite, but from the room, you can actually heat whatever happens in the corridor. It's also quite cold with AC everywhere, but it's the same in the whole US, and I'm just not used to it being European I guess. The pool is also nice, it lacks shade though and now it's 43 degrees Celsius, I've heard there is a 21yo+ pool on the 24 or 25th so I'll check it out. Also the maid just changes the towels and does your bed, don't expect her to clean the bathroom or even change the sheets.
I'll say it's a good hotel for a short weekend but I wouldn't stay here for a week or more.

We stayed here with our teenage daughter, which who loves Vegas ? I don't really rate the whole town to be honest, I do not really like these big hotel / casinos, i really hate the stressful check in structure with having to park your car in the next building and then having to drag your luggage through the casino to check in, but i guess that is just the nature of a venue this large.
Once in the room, it was all great, the room was clean, the beds were great as was the view, the Stratosphere is right down the end of the strip so you will need to catch a cab to the action, this kind of suited us as we were away from the Vegas weirdos, the 50s Diner inside the hotel was sensational !
As a guest, you get a discount to up the tower to the observation deck... One word .... Wow!
The view from the tower was breathtaking particularly at night, pity about the rude staff when you get security screened to go through to the lifts, they were utterly disgusting ! the staff in the elevators however made up for it as they were really, really great

Accommodation actually on the strip (not at the north end of it) is well priced. If you're staying in Vegas I wouldn't recommend staying at the Stratosphere Hotel. the Check in process is long and they often run out of Non smoking room and you'll be left with a horrible smelling one and you can't open windows. However, if you don't plan on staying in the hotel much it is a good budget choice. I loved the pool and the Tower at the Stratosphere. The pool is really laid back and rarely busy and they serve drinks and food poolside. The Tower is plenty of fun and the lounge and Top of The World are great for food and drinks. But you'll spend a lot on cabs getting to and from the strip so if you plan to explore the strip, stay at a hotel on the strip and just make the trip up for a day to see the Strat :)

Room Tip: Ring before you arrive and make sure they have a Non Smoking room/Smoking room available. Also get u...

We were at the stratosphere 17 yrs ago-what a dump.. This time we went and what a change. It was a lot cleaner and better smelling. The slot machines were paying generously and freely-wow. We wanted to eat so we said what the heck, lets eat at the buffet. OH, the blackjack was great. well, the buffet was less than 20 dollars per person and it was loaded with a smorgasboard of good food. We ate our food and played in the casino. we were happy and contented to return in about 2 yrs because we were very satisfied on our visit
. every employed we came in contact with was very kind and helpful.

Room Tip: be aware lot of add on charges you might not be aware of.find a room that is secluded from traffic n...

We actually stayed here in September 2009 but it won't let me go that far back.
We arranged to stop at the circus circus hotel and last minute, upgraded to the Stratosphere and we are so glad we did.
After a really long flight, we were taken by taxi down the strip to our hotel. We were like kids in z sweet shop, it was so exciting looking at all the sights. We checked in and were welcomed by wonderful reception staff. Showed to our room, which was huge and off we went straight away to check out our surroundings.
The hotel was a little old fashioned, but clean and the restaurants were brilliant. The shopping mall was brilliant and cheap as chips. The casino was brilliant and the free drinks were even better. Tip the waitresses a dollar and they come back quicker with stronger drinks. There is a large pool but we didn't sit there much, Vegas is too busy to sit and sunbathe. Get looking at all the sights, for some it's a once in a life time trip and we went for 2 weeks and still didn't do everything. We are planning to return for our 10th wedding anniversary and cannot wait. P.s, the rides on the tower are terrifying lol!
