We love the hotel and come all the time just to get away. We always enjoy the food and rooms, but we come for the pool. Every time, the hot tubs are cool and are literally not much warmer than the pool. I try not to be a pest, but every time I ask if the hot tubs can be warmed up, they almost always say "I will see what we can do, we get a lot of complaints on the temperature." If there are a lot if complaints, then just fix the problem. Last night, the pool attendant said he would take care of it. Today, a different one said the same thing. I am here several more days and hope they finally fix it. Otherwise, it is very nice here and we will return.

Thank you for your visit this weekend, and your very kind comments about our rooms, food and beverage and pool! We love to hear from our regular guests.

I am very sorry to hear where we fell short , about the spa temperature. I like them nice and warm too, and our associate should have alerted the manager on duty and engineering team right away - in an attempt to resolve. I will contact engineering this morning to get an update.

Thank you for your business and your alert, so we may look into this. We hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend with us. Contact me via email, at carmen.rubino@marriott.com and provide your contact information, if you have a moment.

Vegas travelers are spoiled and cheap when it comes to spending money on hotels. We had made arrangements for Sunday thru Sat travel at the Rio but still needed a hotel for Sat the 8th. With NASCAR in town, our selection was few. We found a room at the JW Marriott. Obviously it's more expensive than the other hotels and no apologies needed. This was a wonderful accommodations and excellent front desk service. Still a very reasonably priced room for what you get. I've paid twice as much for a hotel half as nice at resorts like Hershey Park, PA or other "4-star" hotels. We even got free water and wi-fi for our "resort fee", unlike the Rio who charged us more.
We will gladly stay at this hotel again!

The property is located wa-a-a-a-ay out of town, so unless you arrive at a time when the shuttle service is operating ($30 one-way) plan on a spendy ($80 one-way) cab or limo fare to get to the property from the airport. The area is scenic, very safe, and recently developed, with a plethora of shops and restaurants nearby - but not near enough to walk. Did I mention this cab fare issue? The rooms are unusually spacious, clean, and well-appointed EXCEPT no refridg, which is (or should be) standard in a facility of this level. Lots of mirrors in the bath, if you're into that. Huge down-filled comforter in duvet (and no top sheet) on the bed, which I found uncomfortable during this March stay when even outdoor temps weren't that cool. (I had to remove the comforter from the duvet, and of course, housekeeping put it right back inside.) There is a gift shop, but no access to snack food (yogurt, crackers, etc.); but nine restaurants are inside. (Only 1 of these is open extended hours.) The layout of the property is such that patrons must travel through the casino to reach any other part of the property. For those who are mobility impaired or just don't like traipsing through smoky rooms, this will be a problem. However, I really like their house personal care products, particularly the ylang-ylang and rosemary shampoo.

Room Tip: Many scenic rooms available, either overlooking the groomed landscaping or the nearby mountains.

If you're looking for an elegant hotel away from the madness of the Las Vegas Strip, this JW Marriott Summerlin might be just the right spot for you. There are Two buildings and if I recall we were in the Spa building. There are sprawling grounds with walking paths lined by palm trees, little ponds with fish swimming, pools, special banquet rooms, bridal area for weddings, etc. A soft gold color is prominent and in the background are the mountains. We had a room that overlooked the grounds which were lovely, but wish we had asked for a mtn view room. Our room was quite large with furniture and decor repeating the theme of the rest of the property: warm golden tones. A comfortable bed, very large window, enormous bathroom with a huge shower, rainfall shower head, huge soaking tub jacuzzi, double his/her sinks and private enclosed toilet area. The heated pool area was lovely with waterfalls and palm trees, although there were definite cold and hot spots in the pool. We enjoyed the small casino when we wanted a bit of gambling play, and enjoyed the live music bar area, though small. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Great hotel away from the strip if you don't want the experience of the strip, but if you have a car and want to get to the strip, it's just a short drive away. This 5 star rating does not include restaurants at the property as I feel they deserve their own reviews.

Nice family place, quite and very friendly, I stayed there with my daughter and she loved the pool. Although it has the standard smoky casino, probably best way to describe as a Vegas hotel that doesn't feel like Vegas. The room was spacious and clean with a very nice bathroom and a balcony. As seems to be the standard in Vegas now there is a resort fee per person that will increase the price by $14.99 pp but it does give you internet spa credit free drink and so on. Another perk is that the valet parking is included. The staff was excellent and in this tough Nevada economy everybody tries. I would stay here again as I think the price reflects what you get. Lastly I should mention this hotel had multiple buildings and perhaps other areas may be newer than the main area we were in.

The strip is like other peoples kids - great to visit with, but great to leave behind too. This place makes it possible and actually expands my tolerance for the excess of Vegas beyond 48 hours.

Recommended for sure - our one bedroom suite was the size of a small apartment, plenty of dining options both on site and nearby and thoroughly excellent service throughout the property.

The clientele were truly an interesting combination of vacationers, conventioneers and I really enjoyed being able to walk to a decent casino with sensible table minimums etc. It's not the Bellagio where you need a kidney handy to play a hand of Blackjack.

All in all, a "premium" Vegas experience without the "premium". Solid value all round, a great location for breaking out into the Mojave for some sightseeing and great staff whenever I needed them.

Recommended.
