“Neon Garage Rocks!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2014

Loved the Neon Garage! Go on Thursday during practice. It was free that day and not a lot of people there. Closest you'll ever get to the drivers without buying a pit pass.
Make sure you allow lots of time to get out of there after a race. Took us 2 hours to get back to the strip after qualifying and 3 hours after Sprint race - it's only what? 12 miles?
The tram service wasn't that great but they were fighting a lot of traffic so I kind of understand why. A few more trams would have helped though.

“NASCAR Weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 April 2014

Las Vegas Motor Speedway was a good time for a NASCAR Race. Don't forget earplugs and sunscreen if you're here for a race! It is extremely loud when you're in the stadium and if you want to venture the venue, wear comfortable shoes - you'll be doing a lot of walking. Parking is free, bathrooms and other facilities are very clean. Food is resonably priced, beers run around $7 per can/bottle. The track is a great facility, provides great racing, and is relatively close to the city.

“Beautiful, but not great racing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

We attended the Sprint Cup race. We used key tours for shuttle. I highly recommend this. ,it was easy, fast and comfortable. We did the neon garage and enjoyed it a lot. The midway with vendors was extremely crowded and not as much fun as at other tracks. Food choices were limited and expensive than we expected. We enjoyed the experience, but would return to Atlanta or Talladega before going back here.

“What a blast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

My hubby and I did this for fun. Talk about going FAST! My hubby ran out of gas on the first heat, but still had a great time. The only thing I didn't like was waiting in between heats. The place is REALLY noisy- so for those of us with sensitive ears, it can get to you. It was worth it though!

“Better Every Year!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

I have been attending the Las Vegas Sprint Cup race since 2000. Each year I enjoy myself more and more. On Friday we visit the Neon Garage during practice and used to watch qualifying from pit road, great photo opportunities of your favorite drivers! With the change that NASCAR has made in the qualifying procedure we found it better to be sitting in the stands, easier to follow the new fast paced "knockout qualifying."
The fly over was provided by the Airforce Thunderbirds, not sure how they worked that one out but kudos to whoever pulled that one off! Our favorite seats are in Section 2F just above the walkway. Great views of the whole track, pit road, and start/finish line. Bathrooms are close as well as food and drink venders.
Vegas is a great city to attend a NASCAR race as there is sooo much to do when you are not at the track. Hotel rooms are also easily found and you can choose a simple motel or a big fancy resort.
We used to take the shuttle bus out to the track but have been driving ourselves the past couple years. Have a cooler in the car with cold drinks and snacks for the ride home, your own AC and music are great. Plus you can ditch and stuff you buy before the race so that you don't need to carry it around all day. The Lucky 7 parking is the Pay Parking at LVMS. Well worth it, they provide you with a direct exit lane to the Hwy and empty that lot before the others.
LVMS is a great track and a great weekend is always had in Las Vegas!
