This is without a doubt the most amazing hotel I have stayed at during my 27 years on this planet... From the second you arrive, everything is so peaceful and welcoming. During my stay in Vegas I actually found myself not wanting to leave the peaceful paradise. It is just what I personally need in an environment such as Vegas.

Peace and quiet in the middle of a chaotic world. Staff were amazing, concierge made my trip worth while and knew exactly where to send me. The tranquillity of this venue is amazing. I will be returning, that is a definite.

Absolutely loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for top floor which is actually 1 floor underneath the sky lobby.

Without doubt this has to be one of the finest hotels in the world let alone Las Vegas. A true 5 star establishment from the moment you arrive. The greeting you receive when you arrive makes you feel like your home. The staff are all very well trained and are probably the best I have ever come across in any hotel. Nothing is any trouble. The 2 guys who did the evening turndown service were top class, well spoken and looked liked they took great pride in what they were doing. This is a must stay when in las Vegas and it is very well priced and great value.

This is the third hotel in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group that we have stayed. Indeed, truth be told as reviewed by other travelers, it is the best hotel In Las Vegas. It is tranquil, an oasis away from the mass, the smoke, desperation and cheap thrills. It is an elegant hotel, not diluted by casinos, eateries, gift shops or meandering crowds.

First impression is the swaying bamboo that greets you at the front door. Next are the friendly doorman and efficient bell captain; they were the only people that greeted me by name throughout my stay. Impressive is the doorman, Glenn; he is an utmost professional, with an incredibly keen memory and always pleasant.

The rooms are well laid out with very comfortable bedding. All things are electronically controlled and views of the strip are superb. Aroma therapy toiletries are generous in size and the soaking tub unforgettable. Lacking is the little greeting notes I have come to expect from the general manager. Also, no fruit platter or fresh cut flowers. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the sister hotels in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Other pluses of this hotel is the housekeeping; extremely efficient and always kept the chambers spotless. Complimentary shoe shines are done within the hour. I was surprised to find my mind shirts and pants neatly folded on my return. Very impressive.

Downside is the reception; they are eye candies, but the presentation lacking. I am left with an overall feeling that they are bunch of young kids playing house. After a few interactions, I can't help but feel that the individuals holding court are amateurs. They hesitate on questions, uncertain of answers and mutters when asked to rectify erroneous charges. Other downside is that the hotel pool will not be opened until March, 2012. I was told that we can use the adjoining property's pool about half a mile away.

We left the hotel rested; the rooms were superb, comfortable and beautiful. It is indeed one of the best hotel in North America. Overall, the staff is eager to please and requests quickly met. However, it is not up to the Mandarin Oriental standards I have experienced in Asia. In Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, the receptionist and staff manager walked us to the car and waved until we turned the corner. My last impression here is the receptionist muttering in low groan when asked to removed an erroneous charge; limited eye contact as he handed over my receipt.

Housekeeping is superb as well as the doorman, Glenn; he was superior than the cohorts at MO sister hotels.

I highly recommend this hotel for relaxation and family time in Las Vegas. Don't hesitate to stay as you will have a superb time; just don't expect the Mandarin Oriental standard par excellence found in Asia.

Room Tip: strip views are excellent; rooms facing the Paris are better than the side facing Monte Carlos casin...

This is one of best quality hotels in Vegas & will take some beating. The staff were very polite & attentive, nothing was to much trouble. The hotel is in the middle of the strip with fantastic views from the room & the relaxing bar overlooking the strip. The room was of a very high standard with a lovely bath & relaxing music. The hotel was quite with a tranquil feel to it.The tv/music system was second to none with all the latest gadgets for operating curtains & lighting with a vast assortment of channels. Will definitely go back to this hotel on our next visit to Vegas.

I loved this hotel. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lobby is on the 23rd floor and in order to get to the 11th floor (where our room was), you have to go up to the 23rd then take another elevator to the 11th.

Free bottled water
Daily housekeeping 2 times a day!!!
Automated-everything! Even Curtains!!!
Very CLEAN.
Quiet rooms/halls
No Smoking in lobby or hotel
No casino! (very quite).
Almost like a hidden gem!

This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in....ever! Service was slick, rooms were amazing with great views of the strip and afternoon tea was just amazing. We were there for 4 nights and actually had afternoon tea in the tea lounge overlooking the strip three times! Hotel is great value for money and well worth paying a little extra for. Casino free and smoke free!

Room Tip: Try to look for offers on the Mandarin site. We got 3 nights for the price of 2 and splashed on a s...
