We stayed at this hotel as part if our honeymoon. I thought it lacked atmosphere and was unfriendly. We had trouble checking in as my name wasn't exactly the same as my passport (called by second name) the staff were extremely mistrusting and looked the additional identification. I felt this was no way to treat a paying customer. The bar lacked atmosphere. Over disappointed with the experience. The room was nice and I liked the bathroom but at almost $350 a night it should be exceptional!!

Las Vegas is busy and loud so when we came into the calm quiet of the Mandarin it was an amazing feeling. No loud music - No 5,000 people wandering around the lobby. Not only is it peaceful but it is the definition of class and luxury. The staff was kind and attentive without it being forced. The housekeeping always cleaned and organized our room twice a day. The pool staff was also very attentive.

This is not a hotel for the drunk party types. This is a serene experience in a sea of noise.

The pool area was nice but a bit small (expected for a roof style pool area). It can really fill up during the day. In room dining is also a bit over priced, but again, expected from a high luxury hotel.

Room Tip: We got one of the cheaper "city view" rooms and had a great view of New York New York hote...

One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Friendly service, friendly staff, great location. Overall great hotel recommended to everyone.

Based in the heart of the las vegas and on the strip i doubt you'd find a better hotel then this.

I booked this with air miles as a relaxing night prior to my flight home. The hotel is excellent in all respects. Easy and welcoming check-in, so different to all those long lines you see elsewhere on the Strip because this hotel is relatively small. Perfect room with everything you could possibly want. The pool is small compared to say Wynn or Bellagio, but lovely none the less (and in scale with the size of the hotel), with great views of "New York". Full menu of drinks and food is available at the pool, I sampled cocktails and breakfast, both top notch valthough not cheap, as you'd expect). Had dinner at MOzen bistro which was fabulous. The view from the bar is stunning. Service throughout property was excellent but not stuffy, ensuring that this is truly a place to relax which feels a world away from the Strip although it is right on it.

Stayed in room 1600. Corner suite with a view of the strip. Not necessarily the best view of the strip since the hotel is at the south end. But overall, it was outstanding. The floor to ceiling windows more than make up for it.

The service was great, the staff were extremely nice and very helpful. The tour company they suggested for going to the Hoover dam was spot on.

How anyone can have a bad experience at this hotel amazes me! This is a fabulous hotel, high class, exceptional hospitality and the perfect quiet haven to stay in the chaos of Vegas!

From the friendly welcome and Chinese tea/ cold flannel on arrival, to the most amazing room; we knew we had chosen the best place to stay for our Vegas part of our honeymoon!

The room was wonderful, very spacious, it had the most glorious bath tub and breathtaking view of the strip! We loved it!

The standard of this hotel is exceptional, we have stayed in some fabulous places but this is probably the best!

If you want a smoke free, casino free, quiet haven, after the hustle of bustle of the Vegas strip, then this is the place for you! We would highly recommend this hotel, and hope to return soon! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We have been disappointed by a negative experience in our room regarding minibar. Once pointed out, the hotel manager really took care of us, listening to our concerns and making all the best to turn the experience from negative to positive. I felt like he was really caring about my staying! This is what makes the difference between one hotel and the others. I strongly suggest you to book a room here!
