“Great hotel”
Reviewed 13 March 2013

Being my first time In Vegas I wanted to stay somewhere that was not just a hotel and casino. And this place was fab. Amazing room, great service and all I needed. The bar downstairs is small however it has some amazing little dishes and the cocktails are very nice. The room itself had everything needed and was very modern.

The only slight downfall was the SPA although the staff were lovely it was very small and limited I would hardly call it a SPA. It has a very small hot tub and two steam rooms and that’s it. $20 is rather expensive for what it is, so I would advise against the spa.

If you are having a break in Vegas and you want a top class hotel then this is it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room over seeing the Fountains.

I stayed there 23rd - 26th Feb 2012. It is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. We had the basic suite with views of the fountains. Is was a large room, electric blinds, both blackout and curtain. Large TV dining area, sofa and seperate kitchen. It was very quite with no noise from the strip. We had breakfast vouchers which you can spend in the Aria a short walk opposite the Vdara. I agree with all the positive reviews and would stay in this hotel if I visited Vegas again in the future. It is a new hotel so no signs of wear or tired looking. It;s location is next to the Bellagio as both hotels are owned by the same group you can walk down the connecting walkway to get to the strip.

Room Tip: Eat in the Aria resort across the road from the Vdara in the same Hotel group

Pros - Room on a very high floor overlooking Bellagio fountains. Room incredible and view superb. Huge bathroom, spotlessly clean, enormous bed, well equipped with excellent amenities. No casino in hotel made it quieter.
Cons - pool area not welcoming and like a nightclub, not much in lobby just a small bar/cafe/shop not 24 hours, long walk to get anywhere.
Regret not visiting Neon Museum, Mob Museum. Helicopter ride over Grand Canyon amazing - don't upgrade to ranch visit.
Would look for hotel with hotel with quiet pool next time.

Stayed here March 1-4, 2013 on a vacation. The hotel is stunning. We stayed in a deluxe suite, which is considered a base room at this hotel and it was great. The kitchenette was very handy to store beverages, food for breakfast or to snack on during our stay . You can request kitchen utensils, plates, pots or whatever you need to prepare a meal or snack by dialing housekeeping at any time. We bought a nice bottle of wine at one of the shops on the Strip and some cheese from the hotel market cafe and enjoyed a nice in room snack before heading out on the town and when we requested a wine opener they were at our door within 3-4 minutes.
The hotel has an awsome spa and well equiped excercise facility (one of the best I've ever seen). The hotel doesn't have a casino, but if gaming is in your plans, don't let that deter you from staying here. The Cosmopolitan and Aria casinos are very close (2-5 minute walk from the room) and the hotel has a walkway attached to the Bellagio preperty. Even though the hotel is not directly on the Strip we didn't mind as it's centrally located. We were able to walk to the MGM/New York New York area in 15 minutes to the south, and Caeser's Palace area 15 minutes or so to the north.
The hotel has a restaurant and bar area that is nice. There's also a market style "cafe" where you can get coffee, snacks, sandwiches etc. This is a luxurous hotel and food and beverages are typically priced for a luxury property. But staying here doesn't mean you have to break the bank. If you want to save a few bucks use the kitchenette. You can also find less expensive food if you walk to the Strip. If money is no option, the food and drinks we had were very tasty.
The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Security is also tight here with a guard ensuring you had a room key card before you could use the elevators to get to the rooms. Very safe, and nice to see a hotel taking precautions for guests safety. There's also a safe in the room.
Comfortable beds, and not noisy at all. Probably helps that it's off the strip. The only negative thing I can say about this place is the dreaded "resort fee". I think it was $25, not the end of the world but still annoying. Hotels that use this business practice cheapens my opinion of them, and is the only reason I rated this hotel 4 stars and not 5. Just use an all-in rate policy!

After been to Vegas several times over the years and have stayed in different hotels I'd have to say Vdara is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I was with a group of friends, about 6 of us, and we booked the Hospitality Suite. The rooms and bathrooms were fantastic with an awesome view of the strip along with a beautiful scenery. They had a nice open kitchen/living/dining area and the beds were SO comfortable. I like the fact that the hotel is non-smoking and even though it's a little off the strip your still close to all the major hotels and casinos. Staff were very friendly and professional especially Michelle who worked the front desk...she helped us with our room. Her customer service and hospitality made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. She even helped us find the best shows and bars in Vegas and took the time to make ticket arrangements, it's like having your own personal concierge. She was great!!! Overall I highly recommend this hotel!! I will definitely be coming back in the future!!!

Going to add my two cents to the positive reviews of the Vdara. I had read the many comments here about smoke in the casinos and casino-hotels, but experiencing it first-hand was an eye opener. All of the casino hotels allow smoking and despite their best efforts, you can definitely detect the smoke even in the non-smoking common areas like the lobby. It was a genuine relief to come back to our room at the Vdara and have clean, if scented, air to breath. Both the Belaggio and Aria are walking distance (under .5 mile) to the hotel, and the Cosmopolitan (Wicked Spoon!) is a short, if hidden, walk from the property as well. Clean, modern, and centrally located, it was within a walk or a short drive from everything we needed. I also think that not having a in-hotel casino helps keep some of the riff-raff and hard-core partiers away.

If you are a hardcore gambler, this might not be the place for you. Part of the Mlife network of casinos, of which both the Aria and Belaggio are a part of, I was told by some gamers that the room comps are easier when staying at a hotel-casino property.

Room Tip: High floors have the nice views, but consider elevator traffic...

Stayed here with my wife for four days in the beginning of March. This was our fourth trip to Las Vegas and we always look to stay at different hotels each time. We debated for weeks about which hotel we would like to stay and it came down to the new hotels at City Center. Aria, Vdara, The Cosmopolitan, and the Manderin Oriental. After reading much of the reviews online with trip advisor we chose the Vdara based on the price and the fact that it was a non-casino/non-smoking hotel. We would not regret our decision.

The hotel was very nice and very "fresh." The decor is modern and the lobby is very nice. As many have mentioned in other posts, the hotel is very clean and suprisingly un-crowded. The front desk staff were very friendly and attentive. We were upgraded to a executive corner suite (up from city corner suite). Our room was very nice and spacious. Spectacular views of Aria, the southern end of strip, and the city. We unfortunately were not able to get a view of he Bellagio Fountains. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was very attentive and friendly. The only difference between the city corner and the executive corner suite is the extra half bath at the entrance to the room. Not sure if it would be worth the extra money to upgrade but ours was free so why not take it?

The staff were all very friendly. Valet was always good and did not take very long to retrieve our car. They always asked us if we needed directions and were good at helping find some other spots to see. The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the center of the strip which seems to be the best part of the strip. It is connected to the Aria and the Bellagio via walkways or trams. The only draw back to the hotel would be getting to the strip itself. While it's not far directly to the strip itself, there are no sidewalks that go out to the stip. You have to go through the Bellagio (pretty far walk through their lobby and casino), the Aria (farther to get to and again a maze through the lobby and casino), finally you could walk through the parking garage of the Cosmopolitan and straight through their casino. The Cosmopolitan seemed to be the easiest way to get to the strip although be careful when going through the garage as their is no real sidewalk or crosswalks for people.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a quiet escape from all the high action of the strip. It was always refreshing to walk into a quiet hotel with no smoke or crowds. It offers a very nice hotel and room for a surprisingly nice hotel.
