This is a great hotel, close enough to all the action of the strip but at the same time secluded from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are wonderful, very modern and quiet. The property was built as a condo complex and the rooms have lots of amenities. It is nice to be in totally non-smoking place and without a casino on the property, the Aria and Bellagio are just a short walk away. The only reservation I have is the pool area. It needs more umbrellas/shade as it gets a lot of sun. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: There is a tram between the Aria and the Bellagio and rooms close to it might be less private.

Having stayed at a number of Hotels in Las vegas I thought I would try somewhere that offered peace and tranquility away from the hustle of the strip and the Vdara didn't disappoint on any point. Check in was quick and efficient and on entry to our room we were really impressed by the sheer size and quality of the room facilities. The cocktail bar in the main reception area served excellent cocktails. The pool deck was great and staff were on site to support with chilled water served at your lounger. Even though the bar was not open as early season it was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the Vegas sunshine, The location was amazing as at direct access to the Aria and bellagio to allow easy access to the strip. Well Done Vdara for making it an amazing vacation.

Room Tip: Ask for high floor with views of bellagio fountain

Vrada is a lovely hotel. Nice to be off the main strip and without a casino. So a bit quieter. Service was excellent. Valet parking included was appreciated. Rooms were wonderful with panoramic window view. Our room looked down onto the fountains at Bellagio... Beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel

This property is located just minutes away from the strip, and joined by walkways to the Bellagio - it's part of the MGM group of properties in LV. This is a rare hotel which is non-smoking, non-gaming, so it's a very safe bet for families. Extremely modern design building, very well decored building, especially rooms and bathrooms. It may not be as glamorous as other casino-based properties, but I deliberately chose this to be away from the tobacco smalls of casino halls.

I really enjoyed the stay here over 3 nights, before heading for SF and will definitely recommend this place for families, children.

The Vdara is a great spa hotel, no smoking and no casino. You can relax after a long day of work, or a hard night of partying. The Vegas Strip is walking distance and Trams are available to nearby casinos. The room is spacious, enough to entertain friends or spread out with family members. There are 2 televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room area. Also Features microwave, stove top burners and refrigerator to store ample supplies. Elevators are fast and always available, no real waiting. Check in and Check out was a breeze. I do have to say though that while walking through the property, some staff greets you with a big smile and warm " Hello and have a great day" but some actually just gave me a cold shoulder and a stern look. I even said good morning to a woman I believe was the housekeeper and she just back a hello and kept on going. After that run in on the second day, I thought twice about eye contact with some of them, little intimidating. All in all it was a wonderful stay, and will definitely be back. And I must thank John at the Front Desk, he made me feel welcome and even told me Happy Birthday after looking at my ID. Very courteous and Helpful, I look forward to returning soon.

Room Tip: room units 37 have rooms looking right into yours, lucky for window shades

Our party stayed here for 2 nights in March 2014 and overall, it was a comfortable stay though with some drawbacks. If you're planning on staying here, the location is hard to beat, with the Bellagio on one side and the Aria casino on the other side. The Cosmo casino is also very close by. We stayed in a corner suite with a great view of the Bellagio water fountains - the view is probably one of the best reasons to stay at Vdara.

What was unfortunately disappointing were the room amenities - yes you get a laundry washer/dryer, Keurig machine, stainless steel fridge.....so on the surface, everything looks awesome especially if you've never stayed in a Las Vegas hotel of this class. However, once the novelty wears off, you start to realize that the cool-looking shower has a low-flow (watch the Seinfeld episode with the low-flow showerheads and you get the idea). You also will notice that despite the apparent extravagance of the room, you only get two light-roast Keurig K-cups to use per day, instead of a variety that some other hotels give you for free. While the main bed is decently comfortable, you can feel every single spring on the sofabed. The resort fee includes free WiFi and water - the catch is that the WiFi maxes out at 120 kilobytes per second and the water bottles are the tiny 12 ounce toddler size. For some perspective, my AT&T phone maxes out at 2500 kilobytes per second in the hotel room - the difference between loading a Youtube video for 3 minutes vs loading the same video in 10 seconds. Vdara does give you the option to pay $15 more per day to get a max speed of 200 kilobytes per second.

Pros:
- Location and view (best reasons to stay here)
- Quiet rooms (no casino in Vdara)
- Staff moderately pleasant and responsive (no major hiccups this time)
- Fancy room design, speedy elevators that are located next to check-in desk
- Plenty of electrical outlets
- Good TV channel selection
- CLEAN

Cons
- No self-parking garage (have to walk from Aria's garage, about a 10-15 minute distance)
- Expensive resort fee nets you two 12-oz waters and pitiful wireless internet
- LOW FLOW SHOWERHEAD
- Sofabed, possibly worst ever
- Cheap-ish shampoo and bath amenities for this class of hotel
- LOW FLOW SHOWERHEAD (again)

Stay here for the view, bring your own water, be prepared to walk, and don't plan on doing any Internet-intensive activities in the room, other than email. Not a great business-type hotel.

Room Tip: Corner suites give you a great view of I-15 and Bellagio fountains if you ask for it

Dear medresident427,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. While we are definitely pleased to hear you enjoyed many parts of your stay at Vdara it is disappointing to know your stay did fall short of your expectations in some aspects. On behalf of the hotel I would like to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. We truly value our customers feedback as it is the best way for us to improve our services. This is my second trip to Vegas for leisure, and both times I have stayed in the Vdara because of the great service, and the relaxing feel to the hotel. This is my third trip to Vegas, the first trip was for business and stayed in the old Las Vegas Hilton next to the convention center which was just adequate. So back to the Vdara though, booked a flight and hotel package and got a great deal and included free show tickets through an MGM promotion. Got to the hotel and didn't wait at all to check in at the front desk. Service was quick and friendly and was done with the transaction in a couple of minutes. The hotel is connected to the Bellagio by walkway (basically think of it as another tower to the Bellagio) and is really close to the Bellagio conference rooms and convention halls if you're there for business as well. If possible, ask the front desk for a room over the 40th floor facing the Bellagio. We had a perfect view of the Bellagio fountains from our Deluxe Suite room on the 46th floor. The room was spotless and decor was beautiful. Housekeeping was extremely friendly and willing to bend over backwards to help with any request we had. The pool is open until 5p each day and never felt crowded and we were able to relax any time we went. Definitely stay here if you come to Vegas!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on any floor above the 40th floor, facing the Bellagio if available.
