We got a room on the 53rd floor. The views of the Bellagio fountains and surrounding area was spectacular. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It had a small kitchen, dining area, sitting area, separate sleeping area and bathroom.
We brought food and coffee/french press so we could make our own breakfast and lunch in the room. I have an endless appetite so we brought fresh fruit and set it out on the table. It looked fancy and I was able to eat something healthy whenever I wanted. By doing this we were able to save a lot of money. There is a Von's grocer store less than 3 miles from the property so you can easily stop there before checking in to your room. http://www.vons.com/ShopStores/Store-Locator-Results.page
Another way we saved money was by eating dinner at restaurants that offered Groupons.
If you plan on bringing food with you, make sure you let them know at check in and they will provide your room with pots, pans, knives, cutting board, cups, silverware, etc. If you don't do this your kitchen will be useless -but it looks cool.
Lucky for us we didn't go crazy with bringing food that needed to be kept in the refrigerator because we only had a mini-fridge in the room. I thought we were supposed to have a full size fridge but when we got to our room that wasn't the case.
Do you enjoy reading the newspaper? They will give you one for free for the asking at the front desk. You may want to grab one as you are on your way to the pool...
Speaking of that, we tried to bring a small ice chest into the pool area (yep... to save money we brought our lunch, snacks and drinks with us). The security guard would not let us bring in any 'outside' food or drinks though. Bummer! My wife found us some seats in the shade while I went back to our room to drop off the ice chest. When i came back down, I brought a small backpack with a bottle of water, coke and some cookies. The guard didn't seem to mind this and he let me bring it in.
If you are staying here on a Thurs-Sat night make sure you ask the Concierge to put you on the guest list for Haze and Bank nightclub. Doing this will get you in for free and you won't have to wait in long lines. Even if you are not into this sort of thing it is worth going to check it out -hey it's a free outing! While at Haze, some drunk fool was throwing hand-fulls of dollar bills in the air (from the VIP balcony). My wife and I collected $19 in a matter of seconds. Free money anyone? Heck yeah! If you go, make sure you bring earplugs though because the music is painfully loud at both places.
This is a non-smoking / non-gaming facility. We chose to stay here because of this and we didn't regret it for a minute!
Wife and I are locals and just had a two night staycation at the Vdara. From the moment we arrived at the valet we were treated like VIP's. Check in was a snap and we were given an upgrade to an Executive Corner Suite on the 49th floor with fantastic views. The hotel is within a 3 minute walk to the Aria, Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio. Highly recommend getting a spa cabana at the Vdara, had it's own pool for 6 cabanas and the best part was no children allowed. No loud music and party seen, just nice relaxing time with great food and drinks. Don't understand any negative reviews about this hotel, great value and in a great location.
Had a corner suite, perfect room with kitchen, washer/dryer, living room and comfortable bedroom. Stayed here for 11 nights and it was the perfect play to say in Las Vegas, the room was quiet at night, the housekeeping did service twice a day. When you made a request, someone was up to your room within an hour fulfulling it. They called after we checked in to see if we wanted to upgrade to even a higher floor but 38 was good for us. Had a view of the City Centre and the mountains. The pool was quiet and a great place to relax. Always had stayed at the Bellagio but from now on this is our place of choice in Las Vegas, have spent a total of here already this year.
We love Vdara -- beautiful hotel, relaxing lobby/environment due to no casino, and a great value thanks to the large rooms and outstanding service. Service is great, location is off the strip but only a 5-minute walk to Bellagio, Planet Hollywood and Monte Carlo.
This is a very large hotel, but doesn't feel big. It is in a very central location next to the Bellagio. The hotel is very new and in great condition, with very nice bathrooms. Our room was a large corner suite for 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage children), very comfortable, with a good kitchen and washing machine etc. We didn't use the hotel restaurants (other than at the pool, which was good) but the restaurants at the strip are a 10 minute walk through the Bellagio. The staff are friendly & helpful and the pool is very nice and warm (heated).
If you want a casino at the hotel this isn't for you otherwise you won't be disappointed.
