The Elara hotel is just off the Las Vegas strip connected to Planet Hollywood through the Miracle Mile shops. This hotel is beautifully done with modern rooms. We had a two king suite and both bedrooms were sizable with a whirlpool in the master. They were connected through a large living area with a full kitchen. Neither couple was disappointed with their rooms. The central room had a full size movie screen on the window shades. The staff was very friendly and not pushy since this is a Hilton time share property as well as a hotel. All and all a wonderful weekend stay with friends.

Room Tip: Above the 17th floor or the view will be compromised by surrounding hotels. We could see the airport and part of the strip from our room on the 34th floor.

This time in Las Vegas, we decided to spend two nights at the southern end of the Strip and we chose to book a Junior Suite at Elara.
We arrived around midnight. The self-parking garage is very conveniently situated, and just a short walk from the reception and guest elevator area.
I asked the surly receptionist for the best room available, and we were assigned number 507, which turned out to be on the lowest floor available - on the north side of the hotel - directly facing the middle floors of the self-parking garage. So we chose to keep the curtains closed. Car traffic noise was very noticeable - especially in the early morning hours.
The junior suite was spacious and reasonably comfortable, even if I do question the interior designers efforts. Red and black are the dominant colors...
However, as this was just a short stay, we didn't bother trying to get a different room.
The location isn't too bad, especially if you have a car.
In summary - we won't chose Elara next time.

Room Tip: Whatever you do, don't choose 507 or any other lower floor rooms on the north side of the hotel - unless you like to keep watch over your parked car, perhaps.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We do make every attempt to place our guests in great rooms, however sometimes occupancy levels prohibits us from placing everyone on our high floors. With that said, I do apologize that the noise from the garage was bothersome as I understand the importance of having a great night’s sleep while on vacation. I am glad that you thought that your suite was spacious and comfortable and that we have an ideal center strip location.

We stayed for 3 nights in January and it was amazing. Great view from the 52nd flood. Biggest bathtub I have ever seen!
Staff was very friendly. Room service was good and reasonably priced for Vegas.
Location is good as well. You can go out via PH and come out on the strip.

Room Tip: We faced towards the strip (North?) and I loved the view. My husband wants to face the other direction and watch the airport next time.

Great place to let loose, see shows, eat different foods, see strange things, and tall buildings in the middle of a desert. We were able to stroll through the "Mile Mall" see a show , eat dinner and window shop until our feet demanded that we let them rest! Planet Hollywood is located within the mall for beginners, average and advanced players. We go to watch and eat. That way you know where your money was spent. Where else but Las Vegas!!!

Located next to planet Hollywood and the Paris, the Elara offers convenience and spacious comfortable rooms on the Las Vegas strip. The suites are large and well furnished with great night time views of the strip. We are having a great time and will be back again.
