“Great location, no casino”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

If you are looking for a great location, big pool and no casino, this is your hotel! It is connected to the Miracle Mile shops and other casinos and puts you right out in the center of the strip! The rooms were fantastic, but bedding had the big, fluffy comforters. I would definitely stay here again for the location and the bed. The pool is a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Long enough to swim laps if you want. We were here for a timeshare tour, so the cost was inexpensive. I would say this location is worth up to $150/night.

Of the hotels I have stayed at, I would say Elara for a non-gaming casino with GREAT location, the Mirage or Golden Nugget for a nice pool that is more relaxed, the MGM or the Hard Rock for great pools, fun, and pool party access, the Gold Coast for gambling and inexpensive rooms (off-strip).

Great resort - We went to learn more about the Hilton vacation club and found this resort to be amazing. Central to everything...connected to a huge indoor mall, great pool, gym, etc. Rooms were amazing and huge! Worth checking out.

Ok let's start with some of the negative reviews; we experienced none of the issues on room cleaning. Our room was well cleaned when we arrived and each day. These units are really generous in size and have great amenities. The bed was as comfortable as can be. The kitchen was terrific to save a bit on breakfast. Flat screen tv's are everywhere. Tricky to use the projection tv but just remember to also turn on the main tv for sound. The mini combined washer and dryer (in a bathroom cabinet) was a nice amenity). We loved the no casino atmosphere of the hotel itself with the convenience of a two minute walk to the attached mall and another 5 minute walk to the central strip. This place is in a great location. Short walks to Paris, Belagio, Cesar's and all the shops inside those places. I had free internet because of Hilton Honors. That would be an extra cost for many but the room is a good deal even if that cast is extra. Last thing, it takes them awhile to ready the rooms so I think their 4 pm check in is pretty firm. I'd recommend this hotel as a great retreat with terrific access to the strip.

Room Tip: Join Hilton Honors and ask for higher floors

Stayed at Elara at Hilton with my wife for 4 night and had a great time . Hotel is well located , it is not at strip but connected to it by a mall that is very convenient with nice stores and restaurants .
The hotel have a breakfast served at room ( nothing special , so don't pay for it ) there is a Starbucks in the lobby .I would definitively stay there again.

It was a pleasure to come back to the Elara. Our stay was very good. the main advantages are modern functional rooms, equipped with kitchenette, large and comfy bed (we had a room on the 30th and 55th floor), plenty tv channels - incl. my favorite golf channel, location, no resort fee. there is a pool as well - it was not overly busy during our stay. We have not experienced a queue to check in/check out - all very smooth and fast process. Great stay.

Our room was high up on the 56 floor with an amazing view. When opening the door we were shocked at the awesomeness. But, the room was kind of icky, there was white sticky glitter residue all over the red leather couch. There were hand prints and smudges all over the windows and lacquered doors. There were crumbs on the kitchen counters. The room just had the feeling that a very serious party had occurred and they rushed the cleaning. Room service ends very early on week nights. The wifi did not work and I had to call tech support and wait on hold for a long time to get help. Overall the location is great and the place is very cool. Just hope for a thoroughly cleaned room.

Stayed here for 3 nights, had the Junior Suite...
Although its a Timeshare place, we booked hotel style, so no need to goto a presentation, etc...
Staff sorted us a great deal before we arrived to get the suite, so happy days with that!
Pool is great, sunbathing is awesome as i think the heat reflects off the windows to the pool area!

Bed was nice and high and very very comfy!
Shame that the AC doesnt filter into the bedroom, although blasts out nice and cool in the main room....
We had a Ballys view on the 38th Floor, awesome room, would stay here again!
Maid service for 2 nights out of 3..... hmmmmmmmmmmmm !

I would rate the hotel and its room (the junior suite anyway) as 5*
It really is plush!
