Elara is an oasis of calm, great service and affordable luxury hotel perfectly located on the strip.
You can easily access the central strip through Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Miles shopping area. You are literally 5 minutes away on foot from Bellagio, Paris and Aria hotels.
Great rates, clean room and great views. Quick access to the free parking area as well. The pool looks really nice, even though we did not get a chance to test it out. Loved the overall design and decorations.

Hilton vacations has several properties in Las Vegas and, since we were traveling with a large group, including children, we looked for a location with a good pool and other kid-friendly activities. This property has a very nice pool with several 1' deep decks dropping into a large area 3-1/2' deep - perfect for kids. They also have a few lounge chairs in the shallow water, which was a treat. The property is directly connected to the Miracle Mile mall, which is a decent enclosed mall with several good choices for meals, since the property has no restaurants. It also has no casino, which was great for our group. You can go through the mall to get to the strip, which is a good option on a hot day. They check your room "key" every time you take the elevator, which is a good safety feature but can be inconvenient at times when the group splits up. The room was great. One bedroom suite with 5 TVs including the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling projector screen/window shade. The HVAC is a little inconsistent because there's a big vent in the living room but only a tiny vent in the bedroom so it's hot in one room and cold in the other. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Self-parking is free and valet parking is reasonable.

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views of the strip. Lower floors have a great view of the parking lot/mall...

Stayed at the Elara again for my annual Vegas trip and was again pleased with everything, this time I stayed in the 2bdrm corner suite, with a spectacular view. The only issue I had was the dishwasher did not work, which I didn't even know until housekeeping loaded the dishes I had used and tried to run it, when it didn't start, she called downstairs and somewhat was in no time to fix it. All of the staff was very courteous as usual, if you can get a corner suite, I highly recommend it, I really didn't need that big of a suite ( I originally booked a 1 bdrm suite), but when the front desk person told me I could get the 2 bdrm premier suite for half off because of my Hilton Honors staus, I couldn't pass it up, and I'm glad I didn't...So thank you Elara for a great stay once again...See ya next year!!

Wasn't a huge fan of Vegas, but I loved this hotel. Whilst lacking in some normal hotel facilities, you don't really need it. Loved being over the shopping centre - was great for meals etc. The room was huge and very comfortable, especially for the cheap price. Being a Gold HHonors member, I would have like a better view, but can't complain too much. Good location. Even though it's not technically on the strip, being as you can get there directly through Miracle Mile, you don't notice at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for being a valued Hhonors Gold member. I love the positive comments about our Resort even though you are not a huge Vegas fan. Our 1 bedroom suites are some of the more spacious suites you will find anywhere in town with accompanied with a full kitchen! I do hope if your travels to lead you back to Las Vegas you will provide us with another opportunity for a great stay and we will do our best to get you higher up in the Tower next time!

Four days / three nights at the Elara (Hilton Grand Vacations Club), Las Vegas, NV was more than enough.
My husband and I came to Las Vegas for a short vacation. We are avid travelers both inside the US and outsid,e and are HGVC members who frequently trade through RCI ,and also own at The Grand Mayan, Mexico. We came on this trip as HGVC members. My husband has been to Las Vegas on multiple occasions for work-related events, but it was the first time for me so I called myself a Vegas-Virgin. We are not gamblers, so finding the best casino (or any casino for that matter), was not our priority. We did try our hand at the slots but also sat at some Paigow and craps tables.
Transportation to the Elara from the airport was easy and took about 10 minutes costing $15 for two people. Renting a car would be difficult and probably unnecessary since the location is on the strip. Planet Hollywood, MGM, Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, and Cesars are all within walking distance, as well as the Miracle Mile shopping mall.
There is no casino in the Elara, which is a nice feature to get-away from the constant noise and lights that fill the large casino lobbies. The Elara can easily be accessed through the Miracle Mile shopping mall, making it easy to stay out of the hot sun for as long as possible. The lobby is spacious with several Concierge eagerly waiting to assist with any ideas or plans. Michelle helped us find several dinner options and arranged for Guest passes at the Hakkasan night club in the MGM. Thanks Michelle!
Rooms: There are “54” floors at the Elara, but in reality, there is only 44. They have purposely left out numbering floors 40-49 due to an Asian superstition about numbers beginning with “4”. Our room was on the 37th floor, which was one of the 4 floors that were recently renovated. The room was very spacious with a full kitchen, although sparsely stocked. High-end stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The eating area is at the tall kitchen counter with barstools. There is an over-sized “L” couch in the living room and a single chair. There is no desk. The living room has a large-screen projector for TV or movies, however, there is also a TV in that room, the bedroom and the bathroom. The bedroom is spacious with a large square whirlpool surrounded by mirrors. Closet and drawer space is plentiful. There is a separate bathroom with private lavatory, a shower and a single sink. The bed was quite comfortable (definitely Hilton standards) with luscious sheets and duvet comforter and pillows. Both rooms have electronic shades that come down to the floor, blocking out the street light and allowing for a good nights sleep.
Pool: The Elara has a large-enough pool with both deeper and shallower portions nicely designed through-out. There are three accessible-chair lifts for the pool and one for the hot-tub. Finding a chair at the pool is easy and since there is so many other things to do, people come and go throughout the day. The Elara just added these beautiful water chairs but the Management and Security is unsure of how to “regulate” their use. The first day we were there was also the first day for the chairs in the water, the lifeguards were more concerned with keeping the chairs up against the edges than anything else. Whistles were blown at adult guests (seriously?) for turning them toward the sun, or moving them even an inch. It became very aggravating for many of the guests and everyone in authority had a different reason why it wasn’t safe to move them at all. They need to figure that one out. To get out of the heat, there are pool-side cabanas and other day-beds available for rental, which is a nice option. There are also more private cabanas on a second level over-looking the pool. Even though the pool is surrounded by buildings, there was sun all day and a cool breeze that came in every now and then. The pool is chilled to allow for comfortable swimming and cooling-off.
Restaurants: The only restaurant on the premises was the Starbucks. There is a lobby bar inside and a second bar outside by the pool with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast and lunch are available as carry-out at both the lobby bar and the pool bar.
Room service is available at a reasonable price. We ordered the hamburger which was delicious and came with all the condiments as well as a generous portion of french fries.
Other restaurants we enjoyed were:

Cabo Wabo - It was not very crowded when we arrived and were seated right away, but it took at least 10 minutes for our server to arrive. We enjoyed a beverage and an amazing shrimp ceviche dish, which were would highly recommend.

Sugar Factory - The portions were large and the food was good. We opted to site on the patio overlooking the strip which was nice, but the chairs were made of a thin bamboo which were hard and uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time.

Mon Ami Gabi - We opted to sit on the patio so we could see the beautiful Bellagio fountains at night. It was also a very entertaining place to “people watch” on a Friday night. We were in no hurry as we enjoyed wine and dinner, and our server, Claude, respected our leisurely evening which we greatly appreciated. Some of the stand-outs were the crab cakes as well as the as the smoked salmon.

Entertanment:
Circ de Solel: KA - There are 6 different Circ de Solel options in Las Vegas. Two weeks prior to our arrival, we purchased tickets for KA at the MGM through a discount travel site for more than half-off the theater price. Our seats were in the middle section half-way up from the stage which turned out to be excellent seats, however, we felt that with such a large “stage” area, every seat would be a good seat. The show starts out slow with lots of monkey-type jungle men swinging around the theater. The story is somewhat difficult to follow. The real show was the ever-tilting, turning, and changing stage. The theatrical effects were awesome (as expected), but it took half-way through the show for any of the real impressive portions of the show to begin.

Hakkasan: MGM Night Club – This one of the larger night clubs in Las Vegas. The lines are very long and it is important to get on a guest list to avoid paying the $30 entry fee for men and $20 for women. Drinks are about $15 each. There are two floors with hip-hop on one level and techno club music on the other. Most of the space is dedicated to table service with large couch areas. The dance floors are fairly small and very crowded. Tiesto is the well-known DJ at Hakkasan, but he does not arrive until 1:00 pm. Techno club music is played until then. The average age is mid-20’s to 30’s. The dress code is dresses and heels for women and long pants and shoes for men.

Hilton Timeshare Presentation: Since we are HGVC members and always want to know what is available with our timeshare options, we agreed to attend a presentation at the newest Hilton Grand Vacations facility in Las Vegas. We were picked-up in a van along with several others. We were offered coffee and packaged snacks/breakfast food while we waited. After several minutes, Lisa came to get us and proceeded to “interview” us, although it felt more like an inquisition. She must have been fairly new because she didn’t really provide us with any options except to tell us that we have a long way to go to achieve the coveted “Elite”. When we decided we were done, we told her so and she brought in Tammy. That was probably the worst effort HGVC has made in trying to get more of my business. We are Hilton Diamond Members and have over ½ million points, but Tammy tells us “well, that’s a start”. We found that hilarious. She went on to dismiss just about everything we were trying to tell her about us and all the traveling we have done and what we want for future travel options, but she cut down just about everything we said. When we told her we would not purchasing the $94,000 option for Trump Tower (discounted to $50,000 just for us), she told us “well that’s too bad for you because we will just be paying them more when we finally decide to buy, which is better for HGVC.” It was probably the most confusing presentation we have ever been to. We may be looking to sell our HGVC property after that.

Overall Impression: Beautiful facility, nice pool, spacious room and well-appointed room, great location. Will I come back to Las Vegas? Definitely not. There are still so many other places to explore and enjoy.

Room Tip: Ask to be on one of the four floors that have recently been refurbished, floors 36-39

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for being part of the Hilton Grand Vacations family! I appreciate the detailed description of your experience along with all the amazing restaurants and shows you experienced. Mon Ami Gabi next door at Paris is one of my favorite places as well due to the great food and outside seating area on the Strip to observe all the unique characters Las Vegas has to offer! I am glad we were able to place you in one of our Renovated rooms and that you were able to get a great night’s sleep in our super comfy beds. I apologize that your expreince went South during your Sales presentation and will definitely be following up with my team.

This had to be one of the best places we have stayed. The friendliest people, great location, perfect suite. Pool was very nice and large enough for the large crowd. Will definitely stay there again. Location was right in the middle of the strip.

Can't say enough of our stay. It was great! Great for a anniversary. All the conveniences were close and the service was great! Virtually didn't need the car for 3 days. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants some down time and to get away from it all.
