Our overal experience was pleasant. When we checked in they upgraded our room for free to the Grand Suite, which was a HUGE bonus! The room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The pool was under construction which caused for a bit of of a headache. Everybody was squished in like sardines, however the pool staff were extremely helpful and quick to meet your needs. My only complaints were that the valet was very slow and the Little Budha Restaurant basically threw all your food at once from appetizers to main course. We were in and out in 30 minutes....not the most relaxing dining experience. If you are up for a fun quick moving young atmosphere... this is the place. No kids, gray haired folk, or annoying "honeymooners" to be seen.

We booked a junior suite and received a free upgrade to a bigger suite with a view from a very helpful young man at the front desk. The room was huge and amazing with a comfortable living room, comfy bed and jacuzzi. We had dinner at Alize which was perfect and next time we'll try to get a table at Little Buddha which was impossible this time since it was last minute and around New Year's. The Palms casino has the loosest slots in town! We made up for part of what we lost at the blackjack table. At night the casino area was really happening and there was a huge line of kids for the clubs...made me wish I'd visited the Palms at the height of my party days and not my late twenties! All in all a good hotel but best suited to wild young things and definitely not families and seniors.

Been to Vegas over 40 times and have stayed just about everywhere, and this was the best hotel hands down.1.Check in was friendly and fast.2 Room was very nice with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.3. The casino is great if you are a video poker, some of the best odds in Vegas. The strip can't touch the Palms for % payback.4. Never did I have to wait for a drink during my gaming sessions.5.The pool was very nice as well even though part of it was under construction. The workers were very disreet and the area was sectioned off so it was like they were not even there.6.It's The little things that make this hotel one of my best stay in Vegas such as the in room safe, Davies Gates bath products, the newpaper on you door every morning, the coffee maker, Free HBO "didn't miss Sopranos",large bathroom I can go on and on.
Now me and my wife are in our 40's and this is more of a hip joint, however there were plenty of people our age group there.I think the weekend brings more of the young hip and freaky. We were there Sunday thru Thursday. Not many "Hey dudes whats up" there during our stay.Thank you Palms for a great vacation!!!!

If you want to pay top dollar and stay at the equivalent of a Motel 6 than this is the place for you. The standard rooms are smallest rooms I have ever stayed at in my life and the bathroom was disgusting with chipped porcilien in the tub, the PLASTIC shower curtian had mold on it and the tile floor look like a two-year- old laid it down. The casino and the casino bar never had more than 10 people in them. I have a bigger pool in my back yard, and with the pool crowd 97% all dudes, I would of thought there was a gay convention in town. We finally had to leave the pool area after a fews hours because it was hard to relax with all the JACKHAMMERING goin on. The Ghostbar is WAY overrated, Rain was decient. One positive, 9 steakhouse was excellent. One of the best steaks i have had with a nice atmosphere. Needless to say we stayed for the one night we were locked into and then checked out and moved to the Mandalay for a $100 less a night, wich is always bustling with activity. Bottom line, my friend booked this hotel because of all the hype that has been built by MTV and when we got there the place was dead and the accomidations were terrible. The Maloof brothers have to charge top dollar because there are little gaming revenues to help offset the expenses. You can't hype like this and have a shoddy product. This hotel is not here to stay.

Talk about a real-time review. Its 4am right now and I can't sleep. Why? Because I am in the Palms Hotel and the stupid construction team is working outside ... yes ... they've been breaking the local law by doing heavy construction work (complete with truck beeping, hammering, and dumping) since midnight. Whats that? City law prohibiting construction work before 7am? Aw forget about that. So I wont be sleeping tonight. I've called the front desk 2 times and they've confirmed the 7am law, and said the 9 group owns that area next to the pool, but nothing has stopped. In fact its gotten louder.

Aside from this, we were given the Hotel Guest "Free entry and No line waiting" ticket that all hotel guests get for RAIN nightclub. That was an utter mess. Instead of actually having two lines - one for hotel guests and one for visitors, they had 4 lines which merged into one big huge pile of people. For nearly an hour we had to force our way forward among the non-hotel guests and try to get in front. There must have been 300 people in a huge disorganized crowd and security was just randomly letting in 5 people at a time. Absolute total disregard for the Hotel Guest rule. Pissed all of us off to no end. Terrible.

Lastly, we put the "Do not Disturb" sign on our door for the 2 days we were here. You know, the one where the housekeeping ladies are supposed to see it an ... NOT disturb you? Instead of doing this, we were awoken at 10am after not getitng to bed until 5am by some idiot housekeeper asking us if we wanted to have our room cleaned. This was followed by a phone call by the head housekeeping lady asking us the same thing. This was followed by yet another door knock an hour later. This was followed by a phone call from the SAME housekeeping head asking us if we still planned to check out on Sunday. Apparently she thinks she doesn't have to follow the rules.

So lets recap our stay at the Palms:

1) We got terrible service entertainment-wise as we were cattle hearded in with a bunch of nonpaying visitors.
2) We got disturbed FOUR TIMES after asking not to be disturbed
3) We got no sleep because apparently 9 Group and Palms ownership does not have to follow city regulations and does heavy construction literally in the middle of the night right outside the hotel room windows.

The beds were nice though. Wish I could have actually enjoyed them.

After quite a fiasco at our first choice hotel, we decided to switch to the Palms. The reservation desk was friendly and very accommodating, matching the rate of our previous hotel. They gave us a terrific room in the new Fantasy Tower. We had a great view, huge bed and an amazing bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The atmosphere of the casino was young and upbeat and the staff extremely friendly. The Palms buffet is average, but if you’re looking for something quick, you can get anything you want at the food court. The nightclub Rain is awesome, and Ghostbar is a really cool place to have a cocktail.

As for access to the strip, it’s really not walking distance, but the hotel offers a shuttle to Caesars and the Fashion Mall every two hours (but only during the day). A cab will run you about $8 - $10, including tip.

We would definitely stay there again.

I love this hotel! We were treated like rock stars. We got upgraded to the salon suite. What a GREAT Room! We went to Rain and Ghostbar - they ROCKED! We took limos everywhere. The hotel staff was more than helpful and were always available to answer questions. The gambling areas are smaller than the stip hotels, but I didn't care. We were there to PARTY!
