“Blown away.”

We had a stop over in Las Vegas and we stayed one night at Terribles. Our room was clean and quiet, older style, however we lacked nothing. The real surprise was the pool area, I have attached a picture as I was very impressed,

Room Tip: Try for a room in the front area, the rooms in the back 40 are rather noisy at night with trades peo...

Dear terrythepoolman,

Thank you for the great review. If you are coming back to stay with us in the next few months, you will encounter some newly remodeled rooms. We are in the process now and they should be done in about three months. Come on back and give us a second look.

Best,
David Nolan

I arrived at McCarren without reservations. I called Terribles and their van arrived promptly. The front desk was very nice considering the fact the previous customer was very belligerent. I was very pleased with the price and the room. Not being a smoker I found the ventilation in your establishment to be sub par compared other casinos. That being said, the staff were very helpful, the gaming fun and the room clean and comfortable. The very inexpensive late night steak dinner was just possibly the worst I have ever eaten. The equally cheap buffet was just that, cheap! You might want to check out the other buffets in Vegas. I do want to thank you for the 83 degrees as it was very nice at the pool. I guess the pool is just to look at as the water temp was just above freezing. All things considered I did enjoy my stay.

Room Tip: Get a tower room to get away from the smelly smoke.

Terribles is not a high class place, but the prices are great, they have a free shuttle to/from the airport (which strip hotels aren't allowed to have). The rooms are nice (higher scale than you would expect.) The pool although not heated, is very relaxing to sit next to and the hot tub was nice as well. Gambling even kept us playing rather than draining our pockets (like the casinos on the strip and even downtown). Points on the players club card racked up rather quickly giving us a little extra to play with.
Food in the restaurant is varied. Some dishes were just okay and some were good. Skip the buffet. It's not worth it unless you've lost your taste buds.

Room Tip: Ask for a tower room as they've been recently remodeled. They may cost a little more, but they...

When we go to Las Vegas, we always stay at Terribles. We have checked out other places to stay and cannot beat the price and accommodations. Our bed was so comfortable, room was good size. Tip the housekeeper and you will have everythiing in abundance. Good coffee that we had at pool side. Plenty of security and felt safe. Slots were good. We hope to return soon!

Dear LeilaJean,

Thank you for your comments. On your next visit, remember that we have a shuttle that will take you to and from the strip. I hope that saves you the cab fare. Check with the front desk when you arrive.

Safe travels,

Always try and make it to Terrible's while in Vegas! Great place to gamble as alot of locals gamble there! Players card is worth the sign up. Rooms were very clean and for the price it was well worth the stay. Pool was a little cold, but it was March. Don't be afraid of the name, Terrible's is worth the stop and stay!

As long time guests (over 10 yrs.) we will always stay at Terribles. It may not be one of those fancy hotels that you pay 5 times the price but why pay for a room that you only sleep in. It's not like you are living in the hotel room so as long as it's clean (it is), comfortable (it is) and at the cheapest price (always!) we will always stay here. You don't have to go anywhere because the casino, restaurants, pool, beautiful garden and bar are so easy to get to. Not like those hotels on the strip where you get lost because they are soooo big. Plus the bus stops are right outside the hotel, ready to take you anywhere in Las Vegas. I come from Hawaii where we have one of the best public transit in the US but I can say that Las Vegas has a pretty good system also. So if you want to save money so you have more to gamble I would suggest staying here. A last minute thought... the Player's Card also gives a lot back and you can't beat the free shuttle.
We will be back to Terribles soon.

Room Tip: Prices are cheaper during the middle of the week. Higher floors if you don't want to hear the p...

Good value for the money. Nice location. An easy 1 mile walk to the strip. Take a cab at night instead of walking. Casino was comfortable place to play, nice dealers, drinks in a timely fashion. More traditional game with a reasonable table limit.
