first time at TL. Near Circus circus. Had ground floor room, easy to load and unload car but did get a lot of foot traffic and late night early morning revelers but all in all ok. Room simple, adequate. Lots of water pressure and lots of hot water but for a city in a drought wonder how come the residents are forced to save but not the hotels...didn't use pool due to catching a cold but it did look inviting. told that the room key would open it but found it open and unlocked so not sure of the safety. Like most hotels the electric outlets for the room are behind the heavy beds or way across the room but did manage to use outlet at table. free wifi worked fine, no code needed though they said I would need a code. Free breakfast in lobby, very simple, bagels or toast, toppings like cream cheese, jam, peanut butter, Capri sun drinks, coffee, tea, and fresh apples. also oatmeal with a lot of cream--bananas and cream, strawberries and cream, peaches and cream...didn't try it. One nice perk, free printing from the lobby computer so if you needed to print a ticket or something else, you could access your email and print, no limits. I stayed here because I had free Expedia points and this one seemed ok. later visited the other TL also on the strip, very large and congested. I would stay here again.

This hotel has as many positives as it does negatives. I will try to give you a fair representation of both....
Positives:
Very quiet room - made for great sleep
high speed internet is great
staff is very friendly
rooms are clean
location is great - right next to bus stop
a great convenience store right downstairs
very affordable

Negatives:
They were having internet problems for over half the hotel
the door key constantly quit working and had to be replaced
the convenience store closes very early
the shower appears to be made for children, the shower head only comes up halfway on your back
she shower constantly got VERY hot without warning
the maids are VERY persistant

So the rest of the story.....
the room is very clean and very affordable, but you should be aware it is pretty hard to sleep in. The cleaning staff will come bang on the door early, and if you tell them to come back later they will wait about 10 mins and come beat on the door again. Upon telling them once again to comeback later, they will wait about 10 more mins and then start calling you on the hotel phone.
However..... when they do clean, they do a very good job.... so there is that....

The internet...... this is a problem. They certainly need to put some attention in this area. Being a network engineer for nearly 20 years, I know it is really not that difficult (or costly) to build and maintain a good network. They have failed in this area. I had to move to a room right next to the office to get internet service..... and even that went down several times. On a positive note, when it was working (maybe 80% of the time I tried it) it was fast.

The shower..... now this is another big problem. First of all the shower head comes out of the wall at neck level and water begins to hit you at shoulder level at best. You have to squat down to wash your hair. It takes a couple mins to get hot water at all, but once it is there you have to be careful because several times during a short 5 min shower it is like the cold water goes completely away and you may get burned if you do not move fast.

One other thing..... and I will take at least partial responsibility for this..... booking with this or any travelodge in Vegas is confusing. They really are confusing about which property is which. I thought I was booking at the one near ceasars palace, but turned out I had booked at the one by circus circus..... so I went to the wrong one at first. The front desk lady says this happens ALL THE TIME..... Be sure you pay attention to which one you are actually booking to avoid this problem.

Anyway, Overall..... even with the problems, I would likely stay here again..... It is cheap (about $200 for a week). It is conveniently located right next to a bus stop which makes it easy to get around. I really only use a hotel to sleep..... after all, when in Vegas you are there to experience the strip right? Just be aware it is not perfect, but it is a good affordable place to crash after long days (or nights) on the strip.

Room Tip: Get a room closer to the office if possible. Internet seems to work much better there.
