We were only at the South Point for 2 1/2 days and the Del Mar Deli became our favorite place to eat. We had no problem finding seating when we were there. We each had the Ruben Sandwich (we requested it be made with pastrami rather than corned beef). The sandwich was very good and so large that we each saved half to eat later in the day. The day we left, we ordered 1 roast beef sandwich to share. The roast beef was tender and delicious. We happened to see Chinese Almond Cookies in the dessert window and bought one of those for the trip home. (We seldom see them for sale anywhere so we were excited.)The only negative thing we can say is that we should have bought 1/2 dozen of the almond cookies!!! They were as good as the ones from our childhood memories. Absolutely delicious.! Hey Del Mar, can I get the recipe?
