Another family member had reservations here, so we stayed also, without doing any prior research on TripAdvisor (not usually a good idea to skip that step . . . ) But we were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived at 4 pm, the start of check-in time, on the Friday of a holiday weekend. To say it was crowded in the lobby would be an understatement. Check-in was handled at small, crowded tables because the new reception area was still under construction. Kari handled the situation with grace and humor; she got us checked-in quickly and was friendly and personable, making us feel welcome.

We had a one-bedroom suite and it was a WOW. Full kitchen; large bathroom with shower; separate spa tub adjacent to the bedroom; spacious closet with floor safe; super comfortable king-size bed, black-out drapes, nice television and plenty of space to move around in the bedroom. The living room/dining room was large and comfortable, with plenty of seating for our 3 generation family to gather. Our room on the 15th floor was quiet; we occasionally heard a door slam in the hallway but that was the only noise we experienced.

My only concern with our stay was with the cleanliness of the carpets. Everything else was sparkling clean and at first the carpets appeared that way too. BUT we had a one-year old visitor whose bare feet and knees became black within a few minutes of crawling/walking on the living room carpet. It was truly disgusting (and embarrassing). I know hotel/condo units get a lot of foot traffic and vacuuming can only remove so much dirt. An occasional deep-cleaning of the carpet would be nice.

Otherwise, our stay was wonderful. The hotel is close to Downtown, fairly close to Circus Circus at the far end of the Strip. The entire complex was sold out the weekend we were there (Cinco de Mayo) and for the entire week before that, so make reservations early if you want a room. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a stay here for business for 4 days in May and ended up pleasantly surprised. I am first off not a fan of Las Vegas and wouldn't choose it for a holiday myself. That caveat said the rooms here were huge, immaculate with a nice pool and easy access to the Convention Center as well as the strip via Monorail. Overal a pleasant enough stay away from the hustle of the strip. It really was an excellent hotel for the pricing. Only downside was the "deli " which was clusterstruck from having 10 or more customers looking for breakfast and or coffee first thing in the morning. It was somewhat sad how easily they were overwhelmed for a hotel that should be used to serving convention customers. A short walk to the LVH hotel rectified the problem and their coffee shop seemed to be much better suited to handling the rush. It's a minor quibble and on the whole there was very good value in staying here.

A Timeshare trade. Great place to stay. Accommodations lived up to expectations. Clean, crisp, and very functional. Not ostentatious, but very upscale. To get 2 bedrooms, a 1 bedroom/Mbath suite adjoins a 1 bedroom room with its own kitchenette/bath/seating area (with own TV), making two bedrooms with a kitchen/living room in between, giving our guests as much privacy as they wanted. Very well done. Very comfortable. Pool w/bar shielded from traffic noise and not overcrowded. Actually, not much traffic to make any noise. This facility is a very short walk to the Las Vegas Hotel (LVH) (previously the Las Vegas Hilton) with its monorail station. The Convention Center itself is just another short walk. This facility is about 1 1/2 blocks east of the north end of the Las Vegas Strip so traffic is absolutely not a problem. Easy driving access and ample parking (free) either in the open lot or the adjacent parking structure. Our entire week was pleasantly quiet. Staff was efficient. Concierge very helpful, although show ticket prices a bit higher than buying direct from the show hotel (but often with reserved seating vs. just a general reservation). NO ON-SIGHT SLOT MACHINES!!!) Staff flexible on check in/check out times & process. On site Deli nicely equipped...even has $10 bottles of wine. In-room secured wireless WiFi worked flawlessly. This is a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Upper floor room helps with view, but 7th out of 18 was very good view. North side keeps sun from shining directly into room.

Really enjoyed our stay at HGVC (Convention Centre) mid April.
Had a One Bedroom unit which had recently been renovated ( as indeed had ALL the rooms ).
It looked and felt brand new ! ( Don't think the Oven had been used before ! ) The bed was possibly the most comfortable Hotel bed we've ever had ...
Ideal location. Close enough to the Strip via the Monorail, but far enough away to be nice and quiet ! The LVH ( formerly the Hilton ) is walking distance if you need a Casino "fix".
The Lobby area was still being renovated, but was not a problem. The Pool area and gardens were immaculate.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Will most definitely stay here when we next return to Vegas

First - this property does not have a casino and you really need a rent a car to operate in LV while staying here

That said, I expected accomodations along the lines of a Homewood suites and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the suite and furniture -- bathroom and shower was luxurious. Free Internet. Room was quiet - new lobby about to open -- has a snack bar with coffee open early in the am --- It is a fine place to crash at night after doing whatever in town.

I also got a terrific price when I reserved a couple of months in advance.
