“Excellent room and friendly staff”
Reviewed 12 July 2012 via mobile

A high class hotel with a low price. Staff were fantastic, rooms were excellent. Can't pass any fault on this hotel. Only a short walk to the strip. Wished we stayed longer......

Great hotel, awesome room (apartment like) with jacuzzi, kitchen, everything.
Not the best location to visit las Vegas, although you can take the monorail and in 5 minutes (and 5 dollars) you are where the action happens.
Very helpful staff.

Really nice little cozy hotel located off strip and right next to Riviera I believe. We had initially thought it was the location that we usually go to that is on the strip, but when we arrived they told us we were booked at this location instead and that they have 4 locations in Vegas. Was a pretty big bummer when we arrived and seen the tiny pool. There was no real activity game room like in the other location. This one had no good decent pots and pans in room, really hard trying to cook in one saucepan, and the rest were pots. This place is more for those that are here on business or family time. Pool closes at 10 even in summer, really wasn't that ideal of a place. Definitely next time will be checking my info a lot better as to where the location actually is. Pretty big disappointment, especially after picking up welcome pack which was just coupons to Macys and so forth. Our son had good time, the service great, I definitely can't complain about that. But if you are willing to spend $1.75 on a cookie, or $9 bucks on a tiny salad then great for you. Or how about $3.99 for a bottle of ketchup??? Really nice location, but like I said, we started off on a bad foot.

Room Tip: Higher floors can actually see a little bit of the strip lights.

The best thing about the Hilton Grand Vacations Las Vegas (Convention Center) is the size and condition of rooms/suites. It really is "home away from home." The service staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was generally quiet and inviting. It is very close to LVH if you're looking for a casino. It is within walking distance to the Monorail if you want to get to the strip. If you want to be far enough away from the strip to feel "away from the strip" but still want to be close enough to join in the Vegas atmosphere if the mood strikes, then this hotel fits the bill. Just keep in mind that the great rates offered sometimes attracts younger guests and partiers, especially on the weekends. But even then hotel felt safe and friendly.

Parking is either out in the open across from the hotel or in the shared multi story less than a minute’s walk away. The entry for cars near the hotel does close early in the evening so we used the rear entry behind the hotel but both are open during the day. Check in was friendly and quick with a smile and a welcome.

Stayed in a king studio room with a good view to downtown Vegas.Lobby is small and airy with the usual time - share sign up area.We got a call in our room the next morning about this.
The common use area is decorated very nicely but we never saw anyone in there. Also on this level is a great little gift/deli store recently renovated with a nice selection of gifts, general grocery items, good hot coffee and delicious food at reasonable prices.
A door near here will get you to the outside pool; a couple of BBQ’s and along the corridor is a good little gym.

Our room seemed a bit on the dark side due to the colour of the furnishings and a relatively small window. However that aside, this room type had all that’s needed for a comfortable stay. The side kitchen is enough for minor meal making, a mini fridge, sink, small table and chairs, a comfortable king bed, LCD TV with a great selection of channels, free Wi Fi, a small but adequate bathroom with good amenities and ultra clean towels.

One small negative for us was the location of this hotel. We knew that it was well off the strip without gaming facilities (the LVH is next door) but didn’t realise that it is basically a stand-alone establishment surrounded by huge open car parks, some vacant land, a few high-rise condos and not so good for walking late at night. Depending on traffic, it is a 5-10 minute drive to get to the main strip and about the same for downtown. There was a taxi now and then waiting for a fare outside or you can walk to the monorail stop at LVH.

This hotel is peaceful, quiet with no casino; another reason why we chose to stay here. Even the room was quiet day and night, which is a big plus for us. Perhaps due to the location the rates are good for such a great room, even over the weekends.

Enjoy your stay!

Room Tip: A car is a must if you need to get around quickly.

We wanted to have a quiet relaxing stay away from the strip. It was nice to have a large room with a kitchen, where we could have some of our meals while still going out to enjoy all the entertainment that Las Vegas offers.
It is a distance from the strip. You would need a car, especially when the temperatures are over 100 degrees.
The room was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping tidied up each day. A free room safe was located in the closet. The rooms are very quiet with a staff that was willing to please.
The pool area is small and has misters to help with the heat. Barbeque grills are available for use when you buy your own groceries.
The kitchen is equipped with all the basics. There are stores within driving distance. The only problem we encountered were the computers in the business center. They seemed to be having problems with printing. I had to get boarding passes printed at the front desk.
I wondered if there was going to be an attempt to sell time shares at this property, there was a separate desk in the lobby, but, that was never mentioned by any of the staff.
There were no conventions going on at the convention center, so rooms were quite reasonable. I'm sure that would change if a big convention were in town.
I would definitely stay here again. The beds are extremely comfortable. The room was awesome.

This is my 3rd time staying here and its been remodeled and is very nice. I like the location next to the convention center and off the strip. They just opened a new area with games and tv's.
The pool bar is a bit small and closes at 8PM so you might have to stroll over to the LVH or go to the strip. The staff was very helpful. I will stay again in the future!

Room Tip: I had 9th floor overlooking the pool very nice
