Went to Vegas for a mini-vacation. Decided to do the History Channel experience. First went to the Pawn Stars shop and felt like a herd of cattle, run in and out of the place. Went to Rick's next and expected the same treatment and was pleasantly surprised when entering the shop, the girl working there came up and struck up a conversation and showed me around the gift shop. The shop was very organized and many items to choose from. She answered many questions and was very informative. The whole place has a family feel to it. Found many things I liked but wish Rick would put out a "Rick's Tips" book on how to do some of the things yourself. (hint hint...) :)

This was well worth the trip off the strip. We went on a VIP Tour with Annie Bananie's and this was one of the best stops. We got to see a lot of the cast members like Cowboy and Tyler, but Kelly, Rick's wife was willing to meet us and was very kind. It a great family business and the tour was fun and informative.

My wife, two teenage boys and I are huge fans of this show and it was on the bucket list for our trip tp Vegas. We drove there and parked right outside and simply walked in. We took a guided tour of inside the workshop, seeing the characters on the show busy at work. Yes Kowboy is really grumpy. Kelly walked though our tour and said hello, Ron walked into the front office just going about his business. We also saw items that had been on the show and a few items that were to be filmed later in the week, we were asked to not take photos of those till it aired.
Rick and Tyler were out in the graveyard filming and when finished were happy to come over for a chat.
I understand some of the blogs on the internet calling it a fake but everything we saw and everyone we spoke to were genuine. I would recommend this visit to the fans of the show.

Decided to visit the place, it looked closed but upon finding the entrance we were surpised to see about 20 people inside the gift shop waiting for the next tour. We joined them and had a blast. Tour guide very informative, entertaining and friendly. We did see a glimpse of Kelly (the wife). However, the big surprise was that Brettly (show stepson) was in the area and agreed to give out autographs and have pictures taken. He was so friendly and enjoyed hanging out with us. Afterwards, we went outside (as they were closing) and Brettly' dogs came up to us and wanted to play. So we played with his dogs while Brettly just sat on the golf cart waiting with smiles (how very nice of him). We then headed to the front gate and while there we decided to take pictures of the front sign. Well to our surprise, Brettly drives up and states if we wanted him to help take our pictures. Again, so Friendly and so Nice. He took our pictures with the sign and once again let us take pictures of him with us along with the sign. Glad he made the trip so enjoyable. And for him to spend his busy time to make sure we were having a good time just make him so special.

My family wanted to do something different while in Vegas. What a great way to spend an interesting hour or so, without having to plunk down a dime! It's nice to know that despite their celebrity fame, the crew continues to be so dedicated and invested in their handiwork, and were all on site and working as we toured the facility. We managed to see almost all of the crew, including Cowboy, who apparently is as surly off camera as is on! The rest of the crew was very friendly and accommodating, and the tour provided some very intersting facts and details. My son, who is never excited about or interested in anything, was very reluctanty to leave, and said that Rick's was the "best place we've ever taken him!"
