Traveled to Las Vegas with 3 young kids. The place overall was clean and comfortable. We exchanged to this location and they tried to get us to go to a "breakfast to discuss the exchange process which will be no longer than 90 minutes" and offered $150 in dining credit at bunch of restaurants. I declined and they didn't push it which I appreciated. They did call 2 other days during the week and I declined both times. I met someone at the pool who told me she went to the presentation and spent 3 hours being talked into buying more weeks. So glad we didn't go to that! The place is clean and very quiet. We didn't hear any neighbors or footsteps above us at all. The kitchen had all the usual amenities and a fridge that had an ice maker which was very convenient. The AC worked very well considering it was 100+ most of the days. Some complaints I have is that the family pool was closed on 2 separate occasions and is small and only goes to about 3 1/2 feet even though the sign said 4 feet.. We ended up going to the very small pool in tower 3 when the family pool was closed and the adults there looked at us like we didn't belong there, but then other people with kids started to arrive. I like the on site store and the cafe although the price of food at the cafe was pricey, but that's what you get for convenience I guess. We tried to take the shuttle to Harrah's once and waited and waited, but decided it would be faster to drive since parking on the strip is free anyways. Would be nice if the shuttle had a schedule, but we were told it just runs periodically because of the traffic on the strip. The staff was friendly, except for the people we encountered at the Concierge desk. The 3 people we met there were not very friendly or much help. Had better service at other concierge desks at other hotels on the strip. Would stay there again since the location was convenient and the place was clean and quiet.

This is an ideal place for folks traveling with kids, close to the strip. It has two pools - one for kids and another for adults, remains open until 10pm. The 2 bed suite was spacious and fit the 6 folks (2 kids + 4 adults) comfortably. Comfy beds, good utensils etc. the kids loved the recreation room with Xbox, Wii, Pool etc. We had to extend our trip by one day due to personal reasons and the manager was really helpful in accommodating the request. Folks at the front desk were very helpful, overall a great place to stay.

Las Vegas is not a place for children, but that being said we had a terrific stay at the Grand Desert. The 2 bedroom suite was very large and clean. The furniture was all extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. We were able to walk to both the Hard Rock and PlanetHollywood Hotels. The free shuttle service to Harrah's was easy to catch and convenient to ride. The swimming pool was shallow, but cool and refreshing in the 112* heat. We used this hotel for our home-base and drove to Utah for an amazing adventure to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. The natural beauty of the Parks provided a wonderful contrast to the chaos of LV.

Our APPLE MAC BOOK PRO 17 disappeared between the limo and the next day in our room. Our bags were in the care of the resort staff for 37 mins giving ample time to inventory the contents. This was the only time our bags were out of our sight. We were told by security that the police would not come out for a thief under $2500.00. Ours was $2259.00 and to file a report we would have to go to the police on our own. The police department is located at City Hall, a $50.00 round trip cab ride. THANKS WYNDHAM. Upon filing the police report we were informed that they would have come out for $200.00 and Wyndham was trying to protect their image. They could have processed the crime scene and reviewed the resort videos to make a REAL attempt at solving the crime. After being misinformed by WYNDHAM security and MANAGEMENT we no longer have any faith in the company we have been owners with for more than 7 years. We feel betrayed and let down. NOW THAT'S SAD!!! The right things could have been done to keep us as HAPPY OWNERS and WYNDHAM AMBASSADORS but, they went the other way with falsehoods and untruths. We are in a LOSE LOSE situation we own and to get a ROI we must continue to stay at WYNDHAM resorts. We have stayed at many other WYNDHAM resorts over the years with FANTASTIC memories but, this stay has almost done us in....

This was our first stay at Wyndham Grand Desert. We purchased there one year ago during a time share presentation.

As temporary VIP's we were able to book with a point reduction, but not able to enjoy a free room upgrade. I did try daily for a month to get the upgrade to a larger unit.

Do not waste your time with the "owner satisfaction survey" which was another sales presentation. The survey which was to last 15 to 20 minutes was 2 hours long. Not interested AT ALL in our satisfaction, just wanted to get more of our money on the pretense of better service at the next level of ownership. I pointed out we were not getting what we were "promised" at this level, so we did not believe we would get more at the next level and were not going to risk more money to find out if it was true or not.

The room was immaculate and nicely appointed. I would have been extremely upset had we booked the 2 bedroom for the 8 people it can supposedly hold because we would have been on top of each other. For four of us it was okay, but could have used another chair in the living room.

Also, no luggage/suitcase stands provided for second bedroom and with 2 beds that could accomodate four people, the need for luggage stands was real.

Pools and hot tubs were lovely. Grounds were immaculate. Wished the pools were open later. Kitchen very well stocked. Beds were reallllllly comfy.

Would rather stay on strip in the future. Feel we overpaid for this timeshare. If you buy here on the re-sale market, instead of paying "full" price then it might be worth it.

Used the free shuttle to Harrah's daily, helped to save on cab fares.

Can't say anything is wrong with property or stay, just not worth the price we paid.

Our group was aged 45 to 80 years old.
