Stayed 4 days using points from a time share. Place is extremely clean, kitchen is well stocked and the beds are lovely! My only issue is location! It's right off of a busy street and is loud! The ice maker in the freezer didn't work either but there is a nice machine by the pool. The staff is kind, and very willing to help. The shuttle offered is limited, and a cab ride from the strip is about 13 bucks.
I will stay again!

This was the second time we have stayed at this resort (first was in 2012). We choose to stay here again as it was the perfect combination of proximity to the strip and other major roadways. We planned a weeklong trip to do some golfing and shopping, while catching up on some "sunshine time". The resort is located 5 minutes from the strip by car, so we could easily jump in the vehicle, enjoy free valet parking at any casino hotel, and return to our quiet haven when we were done with the busyness and glitz of the strip. And with two pools open this trip, we ALWAYS found several different places to park ourselves at the pool, sometimes having an entire pool to ourselves. We have even contemplated returning with grandchildren (as odd as that may sound) as they have a great "splash/spray park" on site that little ones would have a blast at. And with one pool a designated adult only spot, it would be easy to retreat when needed.
We enjoy cooking some of our own meals so the full kitchen is a must. And between having a washer and dryer in the unit, and the great outlet shopping available, one can pack extra light. Just make sure you have a rental car!!

Room Tip: If you find climbing stairs a problem, make sure that you ask for a ground floor unit.....and always...

We are diamond members and stayed at this resort as an initial place to stay on our 6 week trip to the USA. We had a 1 bedroom top floor unit and we were really happy. The apartment was well appointed and very clean. We felt very comfortable and it was very quite a great place to stay to get over jet lag. We stayed for 3. Nights and used the courtesy van for our visit to the strip. Cannot fault the resort perfect if you do not want to stay on the Strip.
We will return again next year.

We stayed for two weeks here. It was just perfect! Second visit some eight years after the first and I'm pleased to say it was just as good if not better than we expected based on our previous experience.

As odd as it may sound we took our kids to Vegas, aged 4 and 7. So we needed a place to stay that was close to the Strip but not on it. This place 5 minutes by car from the action but could be 5 days away it's so peaceful and family friendly. For those who want a grown up vacation don't be put off, this place is geared up for families but also has a 'non-child' pool area where the little darlings aren't allowed and won't bother you.

For those that don't mind a bit of splashing about and fun in the water the main family area is great. It's not very deep but it has a great waterfall that everyone at some point goes under or jumps through! We happily spent 2 hours most afternoons around or in the pool. It also has a great hot tub.

The apartments are of a high standard, nicely furnished with everything you could want. TV's in all bedrooms, well equipped kitchens and so on. The only not so good point was the wifi was a bit hit and miss but that could've been the location of our particular place. Not the end of the world.

Onsite the fitness room was great, we didn't get to try any of the other facilities but everywhere is clean and the staff are so helpful.

When we booked (we are owners at another resort in the same group) we received an email from Krystal who announced herself as our VIP concierge at Desert Paradise Resort. OK I thought I'll see what you can do and asked for an apartment near the pool but not right on top of it so we could get to it easily but not be disturbed by any noise. BOOM! She delivered and got us a place 1 minute away from the pool entrance but on the other side so we couldn't hear anything from it. I also told Krystal that my wife and I would be renewing our wedding vows while in Vegas and to our great surprise and joy she arranged for a box of chocolate covered strawberries to be in our apartment when we arrived! So thoughtful.

We also were expecting a package to arrive and the desk staff were so helpful checking for us each day and then when it did arrive, true to their word, they left a message for us to collect it. I know that it doesn't sound much but when the staff can manage to do the small stuff like this in amongst all the other stuff they have to do it shows how professional they are and what a great level of service they provide.

So we are very pleased to have stayed here. It's a high quality resort with fantastic staff and customer service. Can't wait to come back.

Background: I travel for a living so I'm used to staying in many different types of resorts and hotels.

We arrived at the hotel around 2:30 pm. The room we requested wasn't ready till 4 pm so we went shopping till it was ready. The front desk staff were very friendly.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit on the second floor overlooking the pool.

Room Layout: you walk into the unit and your table set (for 4) is there. The kitchen is fully stocked (wine and can opener included). There is a full sized fridge, dishwasher, stove and microwave. They provide 3 packs of dishwasher soap,
Paper towels and kitchen cloth and towel.

Next to the kitchen is the living room (there is 2 bar stools that are adjacent to the kitchen). There is a 3 seat sofa (which is a pullout bed) and chair. Off the living room at one end is a full bathroom adjacent to the second bedroom. The second bedroom has 2 night stands, a queen sized bed, dresser and very large walk in closet (larger than the master).

On the other side of the living room is the laundry room (also where the broom Is kept). They give you 1 laundry soap. The washer and dryer are "standard" sized.

Next to the laundry room
Is the master. There is a 2 night stands and king sized bed. The walk in closet is large and has a safe. The ensuite bathroom has an oversized bathtub. The tub in our unit wouldn't hold water for a bath. The stopper wouldn't go all the way down. So we just stuck a facecloth in there while filling it and it drained slower so we could enjoy our bath.

Off the living room is the patio doors leading to the balcony. It was large enough to have a table with 4 chairs and still room to move about.

Overall the room was nice. Very standard nothing too fancy. The room was clean. The air conditioning worked well. Coldest you could get the room was 20 degrees or 64. It had an auto feature which is nice so it's not running all the time. It also wasn't very loud.

Pool: there was 2 pools right outside our unit. The adults pool was smaller (and tended to be warmer). It was open 8am-10pm. There was always enough padded chairs to sit by the pool. There was also a hot tub. To the right In between the pools was the kids splash pad. The water was pretty cold (no colder than a sprinkler would be). There is also bathrooms btw the pools. The main pool was larger and had a waterfall there. There was more than enough padded chairs and some tables and chairs under cabana's to get some
Shade. They had a larger hot tub with a mini waterfall in it.

Security: the front gates close in the evening. We liked this feature. The front desk Does give you the code upon check in (on a piece of paper that you leave on your cars dash overnight).

Resort amenities: the resort does have a gym (5am-10pm). They also have a games room with a pool table, foozball table and cheese board. Ask the front desk for the pool cues & balls.
The resort also had complimentary coffee in the lobby in the am.

Timeshare: the resort is part of A timeshare program. They do ask you to attend a presentation about their timeshares. (They will also call your room a few times to ask). I believe they said you get $75/couple if you attend. We politely declined. We didn't find them pushy at all. They just informed us that the spots fill fast and we said thanks. The concierge desk also gave us a bunch of handouts on things to do in Vegas. Even though we go 4 times a year to Vegas it was nice for others who aren't familiar with Vegas. They also have a shuttle that takes you to the strip and to a shopping center for groceries ( I think that was once per week). On Monday's they have a coffee/ donuts breakfast in the lobby. We didn't attend though so I'm not sure what it was all about.

Internet: wifi is included in your resort fee. It worked well 90% of the time. Sometimes we had to work for the connection but it still worked well.

The resort always was very clean. There was several workers who were always doing something. They also had BBQ's (5 I believe) by the adults pool. Having stayed at other timeshare resorts throughout Vegas--- this by far had the CLEANEST BBQ grills I've ever seen.

Location: located less than 5 mins to the strip (when traffic is good). 10 mins if it's rush hour. Very easy to find. (Take Decatur to Tropicana- can't miss the strip). Parking at the resort was right outside the unit so that was nice.

Overall: the resort was very clean. The rooms were a nice size (2 bedroom unit is 1,262 sq ft). We liked the location and it's easy access to the strip (less than 5 mins) Interstate 15 (less than 5 mins) and Interatate 215 (less than 5 mins). We liked the pool and ground. We would recommended it to people looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the strip- but being close enough to still enjoy it. Would we stay here again? Of course- as long as the price is right!

We loved this condo. It was perfect for us. We had a nice patio and they have a huge soaking tub. I did have trouble figuring out how to use the stopper and be careful if you bump the stopper it will drain all your water out. The hot tub has a little waterfall off some rocks and the kids pool area has sprinklers for the the kids to play under. They also have a barbecue area if you want to bring your own food they supplies the utensils. We did not use the pool hall but I did use the gym which was small but modern equipment. Very lovely place for a getaway! Don't let the negative reviews sway you away. Great place to stay.

Room Tip: Pool side is better then parking side only cause its a nicer view.
