“Very Nice Resort”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We drove to Las Vegas from Oklahoma and we arrived quite a bit earlier than we had anticipated. Check in is at 4:00 pm but we got there around 11:00 am so we asked if we could check in early. They took our cell phone number and said they would call when our room was ready. Well, by 3:00 pm, we were thinking that perhaps they just forgot to call so we went back and sure enough, our condo still was not ready. They finally did allow us to check in at 3:45 pm - a whole 15 minutes early! I would much rather that they had just told us no than have us believe that they were working to accommodate our early arrival. However, that is really the only negative experience we had. The resort is very clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and furnished very well. We used the washer and dryer a couple of times so that we didn't have to bring back a bunch of dirty clothes. I cooked a full dinner several nights as well. The shuttle that goes to the strip is very limited but we had our own car so it didn't affect us. Our concierge was very nice and made herself readily available. We would definitely stay here again...but not in July! I would prefer never to visit Vegas in July again - it was 112 and 114 degrees while we were there; although the air conditioner had no trouble cooling in those high temperatures.

Room Tip: Beware of requesting a room by the pool - we could hear the children yelling and playing but it didn...

I booked my family here for 5 nights in a suite with one bedroom. We had a full kitchen, dining area, living room with sofa bed and a bedroom with a king bed. The bathroom was between the bedroom and living room which was perfect. Plus there was a washer/dryer in the room! The place was clean, roomy, and had everything we needed. The pool was nice with a waterfall although it did get a little crowded at times. I ended up paying about $120 a night.

This hotel is a few miles from the strip, which is what we wanted. It took about 15 minutes to drive and park on the strip (due to traffic). The area is fine with grocery stores and some restaurants - nothing special but had what we needed and safe.

We were by the pool, which we requested, between the two, but didn't hear music from our apt. All the comforts of home, even washer/dryer which we didn't use. We sat on balcony one night and watched the lightening. They helped us with our luggage to our 2nd floor apt. Enjoyed having the refrigerator mostly for cold drinks and leftovers. Would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Ask for what you want and they will try to accommodate.

We are Diamond members and this was our third visit to the resort staying for two weeks in June along with friends who had not visited Las Vegas previously. The resort is extremely well maintained as are the apartments being very clean and well equipped with air conditioning which proved most useful with temperatures in the high 90's. There are BBQ's by the side of the adult pool area. The staff as always were very pleasant and cheerful.

Our only complaint was the incessant noise from music which was played from 0900hrs to 2200hrs daily. We were accommodated in apartment 148 which was by the children's pool area - the noise from the children was not a problem it was the loud music as the speakers are situated all around both pools. We complained three times asking for the tone to be turned down but to no avail in the end we just closed our ears and suffered the noise - it was extremely difficult to concentrate when trying to read. People sitting around the pool either found the music too loud or did not like the tunes because most had earphones in. I hasten to add that we do enjoy music but at the right volume. If you want quiet ask for a room away from the pool areas.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from pool area and away from the music.

Just returned from a 2 week stay. This is my 4th time going to Vegas & the best, thanks to our choice of hotels. It was so relaxing being away from the casino's & the crazy Vegas madness, yet being so close still. The fridge was a lifesaver in the heat, loved having a balcony although didn't get much use out of it as it was to hot, maybe a different time of year. We like many other reviews I have read also had the problem on arrival of our room not being ready, which was the reason I have to knock a star off on my rating, as when you have traveled from the U.K you don't want to be told you can't get into your room, after waiting round for about 15mins a bellboy offered to lock our luggage away so we could go away & come back, so we did this, but when you've been on an almost 11hr flight you want a wash & fresh clothes before stepping outside. When we finally got in our room, I was pleasantly surprised, we were on the 3rd floor close to hooters, & the reviews I have read were not at all what I got, you didn't hear loud music coming from hooters all night only if you stepped out on to your balcony & it wasn't all night, it wasn't dirty, you get what you pay for & people with the elevator issues I really don't get, I had no problems with them. I also found this hotel very secure. The pool was great, I have never used a pool in Vegas before as they are always to busy & you can't take your own drinks in, Desert rose is different, there was plenty of places to sit & the jacuzzi was a great way to relax your muscles after all the walking in the day. We only had housekeeping once whilst we were there, but this didn't actually bother us, as we didn't feel rushed to get out of our room daily for the housekeeper & if we needed anything we just dialed 0 & someone was there within minutes, the staff were very friendly & on the last day we dialed 0 to get a bellboy to help with our luggage & get someone to call us a taxi this was no problem to them.
Tip 1 - tea drinkers, the coffee maker does boil water aswell, just put water in & switch to brew.
Tip 2 - best ways to beat the crowds, if you cross through the hooters carpark, over the road into the MGM lobby come out the small side entrance by the rainforest cafe, you'll find yourself at the back of the grand canyon store, on the other side of the store is a RTC bus stop, down that back road where the MGM mansion is, will get you to the pictures on the right or back on the strip near the hard rock cafe on the left, took us about 15mins to get to hard rock cafe!
Tip 3 - the wax bus, stops at the side of hooters & will get you to the North premium outlets in 10mins + you can use your normal strip RTC pass if you have already purchased 1.

Excellent and secure location. Very clean condo with all the amenities of home. They have a great pool and water play area for the kids, rec room, a usable gym. The staff was very attentive and took care of every detail and got us deep discounts on show tickets through the concierge. They could use more shuttles to areas around town and more frequently but it is an om service as is.

Our 4th stay and yet another great stay. Spotless resort with comfortable accommodation. Off strip and no gambling which means you can relax and chill....adult pool open until midnight. Short drive or taxi to the strip (we always have a car), never experienced any timeshare selling.... we just don't go to the welcome meeting and we never get hassled, maybe because we're Brits? Will be back'
