We have owned a timeshare at The Grandview for seven years. Have had no complaints.
Will tell you now that our stay on August 1st thru the 5th. 2014 was the worse stay ever. The first morning the toilet would not flush. We plunged it ourselves, but didn't help. So when we called the front desk....took over 10 minutes to explain our problem. The lady at the front desk was so hard to understand. Her english was so broken, but after explaining the problem.....she asks if we plunged it yet. Of course !!!!!! So finally she understood and sent the maintenance man. We didn't wait for him long. He was nice and thought the job was done. Left the condo for the whole day. Returned around 1:00am. And again the toilet wouldn't flush properly. Next morning phoned maintenance....same problem. He came, he went, supposedly all was well. Gone all that day also. That night same problem. Called again the next morning. Third guy shows up. Again all should be fixed. We're gone again, when we returned...,the toilet was running, so we turned the water off. Up the next morning...flushed the toilet, and before we know it....,.water is everywhere. Toilet overflowed. 2 inches if water in the kitchen. Called maintenance, 30 minutes later he showed , and we left. Now we were staying in the brand new condo. Honeysuckle !!

An experience I don't want to have to go through again, and not once we we offered to move to another condo!

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent stay at The Grandview. We apologize for the issues you described because we strive to provide a great vacation for every guest that chooses to stay with us. We’re successful most of the time, however it seems in the case of your last visit we clearly dropped the ball. The problems you had regarding the room quality and service during your stay are unacceptable. We assure you that your comments have been shared with our management team to prevent these circumstances from recurring. We truly hope that you will return and allow us a future opportunity to provide you with the same attentive service that you’ve enjoyed with us the past seven years.

We own at the Grandview and have been coming back for over 7 years. The Grandview has the best of both world. The timeshare units are the best in design, and you have the South Point Hotel and Casino next to it.
Every unit at the Grandview are one bedroom unit with a full kitchen, living room and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Two - one bedroom units make up a two bedroom unit. You will never get a bad room here. Most timeshares are designed to have a two bedroom - you split the two bedroom to give you a one bedroom and the lock off is a hotel unit. They are not equal.
With the South Point Hotel and Casino next door, you have access to a full casino with all of it's amenities - the restaurants, bowling alley, movie theatre, bingo, and night life entertainment. This way, the Grandview Resort does not have to spend money on these amenities.
We own both points and weeks at this resort and would recommend it to anyone.

We get there by an exchange by RCI is the second resort in the boulevard is the M, Grandview and Southpoint.
The room is a very confy room except that they have roaches in it, they do not have a WIFI in the rooms, the midweek cleanning they do is only change your towels and make your bed. I have my next room dirty and open all week my husband call the lobby 3 times and they do not care. The presentation is terrible the swiming pools full very small and no shade. They do not have shuttles to the strip.

Room Tip: We get daisy building because is the nonsmoker is the last one no view but next to the structure par...

Thank you for sharing your experience. We apologize if you found bugs in your room. Being in a desert climate, the resort obtains regular pest control services from a licensed company. We do offer complimentary wifi service in the guest suites and free internet access in our Computer Center. The Grandview is a timeshare property and doesn’t include daily housekeeping. Guests staying six or more days receive a mid-week tidy service on the fourth day of their scheduled stay. Shuttle service is available to The Strip from The Grandview. Additional information on this amenity can be obtained at the front desk. We regret that we didn’t meet all of your expectations, but we hope that the design and comfort of our suites will entice you to return so that we may have another opportunity to provide you with the excellent vacation you deserve.

We had family visit from out of town and this was a perfect place for them. The resort is well appointed and they had a great night's sleep every night. The unit had and entrance and another entrance both key activated; this keeps the noise level to a minimum. The unit had a lovely deep soaking tub, kitchen and bedroom with a pull out couch in the living room with nice sized TVs. The location is wonderful for those who want to go to the Strip, Town Square (shopping) and the South Point. They walked to the South Point for several meals and they enjoyed that. The front desk staff is willing to help with your needs and at check in they offer a coupon book for South Point. South Point even has a movie theater. I would recommend this resort for everyone. It's also freeway access to Las Vegas' downtown, Mount Charleston and Spring Mountain Ranch. I highly recommend this resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

My husband and I had a great experience during our week-long stay at this property. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of The Strip, but still want to be in close proximity to it, this is the place for you! I researched TripAdvisor prior to my trip and learned that the newest building was The Honeysuckle and allegedly some guests were charged $50.00 for wi-fi while others were not. Just to be on the safe side, before our flight to Las Vegas, I enabled tethering with my cell phone carrier for $20.

We arrived at the Grandview via our car rental at approximately 2pm. I requested a room on the highest floor available in the Honeysuckle building and received it no problem and without having called in advance. Being owners there most likely worked in our favor. We also received complimentary wi-fi and lots of coupons, particularly for the nearby South Point and Silverton casinos. South Point is within walking distance from Grandview (a BIG plus) and Silverton is a short distance away accessible via a Grandview shuttle, car or cab. Both properties are nice places to spend time at and not too wild.

We did accept an invitation to attend a timeshare presentation to offset entertainment costs and learn tips for making the best use of our timeshare. This decision was facilitated by the fact that we never make any firm plans while on vacation. Please be aware that although you are under no obligation to purchase anything, it is a big time commitment so if you don't want to be bothered, politely decline it. By the end of it all, we were there for about 5 (pleasant) hours. During that time, we were treated to a breakfast buffet at South Point, shown two room models, and then presented with different proposals to buy timeshare before collecting the incentive we chose (gaming vouchers). We ultimately accepted one of their proposals and upgraded our timeshare from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. A portion of the 5 hours spent (about 30-45 minutes) was completing the paperwork on that.

The Honeysuckle building where we stayed is the furthest from the lobby which was not a concern for us. The room was in excellent condition, but the decor with its muted browns and greens reminded me of a bachelor pad. If I knew this beforehand, I would have asked to stay in the Daisy building again with its bold red decor. During our stay at the Honeysuckle, I was awakened once by noisy plumbing, however it didn't last for long. We were also surprised one evening around 6pm by the housekeeper (Gloria) for a tidy service and replenishment of towels, lotion and soap. I was put off by the interruption at first, but she so was kind, efficient and excellent at her work, I appreciated it.

All in all, our stay at the Grandview was great. The rooms were comfortable, clean and decorative with all the standard amenities and close enough to The Strip, shopping and dining without being at the center of too much noise and congestion.

Room Tip: Scan reviews in advance to get clear about your specific room preferences and then make your request...

We stayed here for a week with AFVC. We checked in early on our first day. We got held up while an employee tried to lure us in to a timeshare deal. We know to avoid these "tours" and "exclusive deals". They call you multiple times during the week. During the weekends, people that get lured into deals up on the strip come down to the resort. They were very loud and obnoxious. They were there for 2 nights and acted like the owned the place. There was lots of partying at the pool below us. Other than that, it was okay. Midway through your stay the housekeeper comes in and cleans up. It was a clean and tidy room. Parking is hard to come by, so most nights we were in the garage. Just an FYI, don't use the elevator in the parking garage. It shakes and rumbles and makes noises that an elevator shouldn't make. Otherwise, okay. Great for if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle on the strip. Overall, an okay resort.

The Grandview had everything you needed for a hotel. Service was great, was a newer place, very clean rooms, decent sized pool area, and casino right across the street. Only problem was that it was not close to the strip.
