“Vacation Las Vegas”
Reviewed 3 September 2014

Very comfortable resort, rooms were spacious, handled our extended family without a hitch. Kitchen was fully equipped. Being right next door to the Southpointe Casino was a great benefit because of their restaurants, gaming room, bowling alley and movie theater!!! Would definitely go back!

This is one of the nicest suites I've stayed at in Las Vegas. My only two complaints were first not near anything you had to have a car,or extra money for cabs. Second this hotel was doing there time share/sell thing, which you naturally received a free weekend if you went. Because of this many rooms had families in them, not 2 or 3 extra, but some single bedroom suites had 6-8 people in them. As noise is an issue with me, this was a problem!
The rooms are big, full kitchen, dining bar area for 4, living room area,(sofa was a pull out) beautiful jacuzzi tub & a very comfortable bed. There is a casino right across the street, but the best shows are on the strip. There are 2 pools with waterfall features. I would probably stay again as the price was very reasonable.

This is the 4th time we've stayed here and love it. The check-in experience can be a little overwhelming, but worth it once you arrive at your unit. Yes, they have sales reps, that is what they do, but if you say no they leave you alone. Yes, it is farther down the strip, but getting away from the hustle and bustle is refreshing. And, you have South Point right next door - no driving! If you encounter any issue with your unit maintenance is right there to make it right. The strip is expanding and this will not be remote much longer. You have the opportunity to save your gambling funds with the use of the full kitchen - we highly recommend!

Room Tip: All views are excellent of the Las Vegas area.

We stayed at the Grandview with our grandchildren in July--we had a 2 bedroom condo which was perfect for our family--grandchildren stayed with us on one side and my son, his wife and baby on the other side--they are divided by a foyer and doors to each unit for great privacy--we enjoyed the pools, used the transportation to the strip, found grocery stores within easy driving distance, and can't wait to go back with my other children.Recomend this highly.

Room Tip: If you have a big family be sure to book a 2-bedroom

Thank you for your 5-star recommendation! We’re happy that you and your grandchildren enjoyed your accommodations at The Grandview at Las Vegas. Vacation Village Resort’s unit layout you described is unique because it features suites that have a common foyer with separate locks for each suite. This unique combination is very popular with our timeshare owners and guests because it offers luxurious rooms with maximum privacy for larger parties. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and we look forward to seeing your family again at The Grandview.

The 1 bedroom was extremely spacious and nicely appointed with flat screen TVs, washer dryer, and everything you could need in a full kitchen including a blender. Terrific jacuzzi tub, although there is a sign that you cannot use the jets beyond 10 pm. Comfortable beds however the pillows are lacking. They are, however, numerous so you can get by. Several pools . Not really any activities here but you don't necessarily need it because it's Las Vegas!! Next door was South Point Casino which had very reasonable dining facilities, a terrific bingo hall, movie theaters and bowling. For an off strip vacation, this was excellent. They also give you a discount book to the casino. There is a shuttle to Town Square for additional shopping/restaurants. For $8 round trip there is also a shuttle that will take you to the Strip or up to Fremont Street.

The Grandview in Las Vegas is a great and economical place to stay. The pools are fantastic and the rooms are large and clean. Very quiet and a nice break from everything on the strip. Very friendly service and nice people. I wish they had a few more activities.

So I ended up staying here sort of by accident. We were on our way back to California from Idaho and we were just thinking of passing through Vegas. My friend, however, who happened to be in town using up her time share, phoned me the day before she left and asked if I would be in the area and if I would like to get a free hotel night. I said "Sure! Why not?" So we got to stay here the last night that my friend had the timeshare for. And thank god for that!

First off, the place is huge. There are several high rise buildings comprising this complex. It is right next to the South Point, but because the South Point is so big, it completely shields it from view, so much so that you don't even realize there is a huge sprawling complex there when you are driving on the freeway. The first thing that hits you when you enter is the sheer size of the room. The room is more than just a room. It consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedroom with an ensuite bathroom big enough to be its own room. The kitchen has every possible appliance you may need, including stove, refrigerator, dishwater, and microwave. There are pots, pans, and dishes readily available for your use. They even throw in dishwasher fluid so you don't have to buy your own to use the dishwasher. In the living room there is a small closet where they put the washer and dryer. So no coin laundry for you if you don't want. There are two flat screen TVs, one in the living room, one in the bedroom. The bathroom consists of two sinks with a shower and...OH MY GOD! A HOT TUB!!! Oh, that was just HEAVEN! Pure AWESOME! Really, if you have the time, you should try it! You will not regret it! Your body will only thank you!

As for the other facilities, I tried out their gym. It was nice. Had all the standard equipment. Though not anywhere close to 24 hour fitness if that was what you were looking for. Did not have time to try out the saltwater pool, even though my friend swears by it. Maybe next time. The coupon books they provided for the South Point and the Silverton did come in handy, as we went there for freebies the next day. Check in was pretty easy. Just had to state my name. Check out was even easier. They just checked me out without me having to walk all the way to the lobby.

So, all in all, very good...no, GREAT! Yes, no complaints whatsoever! I suppose that being a timeshare property, some people will run into that issue, but if you were lucky enough to avoid it altogether like me, then it is well worth it!

Room Tip: I don't know if you get to choose the building, but because the complex is so huge, and most of...
