They want to come across as some fancy smancy hotel, but I am NOt impressed. I have been here several times now. Not by choice. They refuse to give you a microwave. That refuse to put one up in the concierge room and of course refuse to heat anything in the HIGHLY over rated restaurant. Which is WAY over priced for mediocre food at best. No gambling. I get that. Had some guys on window washing machine outside my 20+ story window while I was naked. Nobody bothered to tell us that they were putting a banner on the outside. Nice of then People at the desk tonight were very condescending. NOT recommended.

Nice hotel with very good staff all round. Very well equipped and spacious rooms. Good gym and OK pool area. Breakfast was a bit "stiff" and dis not offer any buffet which is a bit unusual I thought.Club lounge was OK and offered better breakfast choices that the main restaurant.

Hotel location is very convenient for the Expo Center and Monorail but otherwise is in a fairly scary area. I was advised by the hotel staff not to walk in a particular direction even during broad daylight. The "OK" route to a gas station convenience store was also somewhat disturbing being adjacent to really down beat motels.

Otherwise a really nice hotel.

While on business in LV in January we had dinner at Envy one evening even though we were staying in a hotel on the strip. We know about the reataurant because we have stayed at Renaissance on several occasions. Our meal was wonderful,, my sea bass was just absolute perfection. My husband had beef(of course) so we opted to have a red wine with dinner. Our wait person Niki could not have been more helpful in helping us choose the wine and we were rewarded with a fantastic pairing. ( cheers to Frank Family Napa). We have a business trip again in April and we are staying at the Renaissance. We love the "no casino" feature as well as the bar.....and last but not least the truffle fries are just a bit moreish.

We greatly appreciate your time in posting your feedback. It is a pleasure to learn about your Envy experience and we are even more exited that you found your dish to be “perfection”! When you visit us again in April, I highly recommend trying one of our new Italian inspired dishes. My personal favorite is the open ravioli which features shrimp and chorizo with a lemon cream sauce. Yum!

We are excited to welcome you and your husband back in April!

Very nice hotel with an exceptional staff. From the valet to front desk to restaurant staff everyone was great. Pool could be bigger and didn't not get much sunlight but the gym was excellent. Overall a great place to stay. It's away from all the noise and rush of Vegas strip.

From what I understand this hotel is one of only two hotels in Vegas that don't have a casino in them. Don't be deceived though; negative one block from the new strip is at least a 15 to 20 minute walk....there is no straight line to the strip from this hotel but, but you are close to the convention center. You walk out the front door of the hotel and look to your right and there it is. Your almost in the parking lot. Hotel is very clean and well kept. Center court area just off the lobby hosts a swimming pool and area to just sit around and bask in the sun! This is a BIG BUCKS hotel to eat in. Spent over $30 for breakfast with a gratuity. The fruit cup was the cheapest thing on the menu at $15. McDonalds was a 10 minute walk down the street from the hotel...closest thing. They CHARGE YOU FOR THE INTERNET $10/day and if you have problems fixing your connection front desk can't help you much but will give you the number to their IT for assistance. The Day Staff on the front desk is EXCEPTIONAL, friendly and will help you as much as possible to make your stay enjoyable. With the convention center so close would consider this more of a business hotel. Four days here will run you about $750 with internet service and buy your own food. NO MICROWAVE OR REFERS in your room but a small coffee pot. Starbucks coffee for sale downstairs in the lobby area.

Room Tip: Hotel is built high, I think over 12 floors....If you like heights try to get up high and view the n...

While we’re happy you enjoyed your stay, we appreciate you mentioning the cost for breakfast. We do appreciate feedback such as this as it provides us with invaluable insight. Next time you visit, we recommend stopping by Ego café for an alternative menu to Envy or In Room Dining.

We hope to serve you again in the future.

The Renaissance Las Vegas is a great hotel to stay for those not wanting to walk thru a casino to find the registration desk. The hotel is very clean, has a self parking garage just steps away and is next door to the convention center. I've stayed at the hotel several times in the last ten years. The Envy restaurant on the street level is very good. The Elite club lounge on the 15th floor serves a nice breakfast with the very tasty scrambled eggs. The lounge hostess include Regina, who recognized me by name when I walked in the door, and Alyssa, in the morning.
Whitney is an evening hostess along with other staff.

Room Tip: top floors are quieter

First off, Allen at the front desk accommodated us with early occupancy - We'd just come in off a red-eye, check in was supposed to be 3:00, but he had us in a beautiful room by 7:30 am! He somehow got us access to the executive clubroom at the top floor where we enjoyed breakfasts, cocktail hour & desserts throughout our stay. We met Andre up there, whom we felt took a genuine interest in us, and greeted us by name whenever we saw him on the grounds. Regina was great too - Ready with a cheerful compliment for everyone who came in.

Whoever is in charge of hiring at the renaissance is doing a wonderful job. From bellmen, to everyone else we came in contact with, we got warm smiles and the feeling they were glad to interact with us, ready to do anything they could to make our experience the best possible.

We'll be back next year :)
