“Never gets old...”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

We've been staying at the Wynn on every visit to Vegas for several years now. Here are some quick pros and cons to consider:

Pro

~beautiful, tasteful and spotless facility
~shielded from the tackiness of the strip by a "mountain" with cascading waterfalls and the lake of dreams
~tons of food options
~huge pool, and a separate adult pool
~casino is quieter and less crowded
~staff are very attentive
~seamless check and check out with never any trouble on our bill
~across street from huge fashion show mall with additional shopping and food choices

Cons

~north end of strip so long walk to center strip
~pool culture in Vegas (not just at wynn) is getting annoying. So many deck chairs cost money to sit in (ones closest to pool) or are reserved for cabana guests. If you plan to shell out big bucks for a cabana you will get pampered at the pool. If you travel as a couple and just want a deck chair, expect to sit further from the pool and to get less service from waitresses when cabanas fill up. Also, I asked for an umbrella one afternoon and told I would be on a waiting list. When I looked around, several cabana guests had umbrellas erected on their cabana patio. This was the height of elitism for me. If you pay $500 for a cabana, why sit outside it and take up the umbrellas from everyone else? Wynn should be mindful of their non-cabana guests, but so many luxury Vegas hotels are doing the same thing.
~expect high class shopping at wynn/encore...Chanel, givenchy, etc. Not exactly shopping for the masses.

Room Tip: Golf course view rooms on lower floors may hear DJ noise from adult pool on weekends during the day...

Having never been to Las Vegas before, I did a lot reading about where to stay and Wynn came up best each time. It didn't let us down for a minute. For such a huge hotel, every detail was superb from the room, the service, grounds, casino area, check in/out, pool area etc. You will no be disappointed.
Only problem we had was the extreme line for the buffet - 35+ min wait so we want else where. But, the whole place is full of surprises and it brings a smile to the face.

Get a suite. No resort charge and breakfast for two. That's a $75 savings right there. The private pool while small is cozy and intimate. Not the usual Vegas pool party riff raff. The hotel is at the north en if strip so bring walking shoes. Super great staff and gorgeous hotel

Me and my girls try to meet once a year in Las Vagas for a long weeeknd getaway and for years our destination spot has been another high end hotel on the Strip. We thought we woudl give the Wynn a try this year and I am so glad we did. We had an amazing time. Check-in was prompt and our room was just beautiful. We stayed on the 15th floor overlooking the Strip. The food was fabulous - from Brunch at the Buffett, to the tapas served at LaCave! We will definitely go back soon and maybe take our signifigant others this time. :-)

The Wynn is gorgeous and our stay there was fabulous! The attention to detail in every aspect of the property along with the service you get from the staff makes this hotel the best value on the Las Vegas strip. We were there to celebrate my parents 50th years Anniversary wedding and we couldn't have made the best choice. The employees at the Wynn were all genuinely friendly and helpful which was noticeable and very welcoming; the blow dryer in our first room didn't work, and they change us right away to another suite. After a nice walk around the strip we came back and found a lovely complementary gift in the room, a dish full of Wynn truffles and chocolates (see photo).

The Buffet was amazing from fresh fruits, to so many different type of meats, and salads, a full bar of desserts, sushi, pastas fantastic seafood & crab legs!! All of the restaurants we visited at the Wynn were terrific! We had a beautiful room at the 45th floor with a terrific view overlooking the mountains. Both of us loved the comfortable bed, the rooms have floor to ceiling windows, are spacious and beautifully decorated. The casino and entry foyer are also gorgeous, decorated with fresh flowers and fantastic exquisite arrangements. December holidays and the decor at Wynn was from out of this world. The restaurant and bar areas are all unique, lovely and welcoming. My parents enjoyed the music at the Eastside Lounge with the Dual Piano many evenings, and a Frank Sinatra show "Dance with me" one night.

We did not mind the location and thought nothing of walking to other areas on the strip; we actually found that very entertaining. They made my parents celebration a fantastic one.

My wife and I were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, and chose the Wynn. Wynn delivered spotless, classic, flawless elegance at every nook and cranny of their fantastic resort, as expected. What surprised us pleasantly was the extraordinarily friendly and attentive staff. It seemed as though there has been recent training or emphasis on good old fashioned customer service, and it's paying off. At every level -- check in, housekeeping, spa, valet, restaurants, theater-- it was the same. Exceedingly warm and friendly staff going the extra mile to make us comfortable. We're certainly not VIP's or high rollers. But we were treated like it. Really well done, Wynn. Thank you for taking good care of us for our special weekend. We'll be back very soon.

Room Tip: Views overlooking the strip are incredible through Wynn's floor to ceiling windows.

We stayed in the Wynn on the 47th floor with the strip view. it was beautiful, very modern with all the extras, Electronic window shades and lighting at your finger tips. Bath was a+ plus! Duel sinks with a convient place to sit to put your makeup on. It had a wonderful seperate large shower and bath tub with a waterfall spout, a second tv built into the wall. It was more of a resort feel as to the quitness of the hotel and its property, As for the casino it was nice but I got turned around at first but after a few days did fine. Food was a bit pricey. The location was good. Shopping directly across the street ( Very large Fashion Mall). We did not swim or play golf but it looked like it would have been awesome. Lots of walking.....

Room Tip: Can't think that any room would be bad. You have to show your room key before you are able to g...
