“Wynn in December”
Reviewed 27 March 2010

I won't go over every single detail of this hotel, just give you my quick run through.

I'm 22, went with a group of 5 girls celebrating a few birthdays (btw 22-27).

This hotel is gorgeous inside, the service is unbelievable. One of the girls broke her ankle and had to leave the next day back to Canada, the hotel, including the club staff at XS, were great. On that note, Canadians - remember to buy trip insurance.

We didn't eat much at the Wynn, probably due to the sheer cost of each meal. We did try the pizza place.. it was GREAT. For other close restaurant ideas, try fashion show mall (not the food court - disgusting), or go to the steak house on the first floor of Caesars forums is cheap & so unbelievably good for lunch.

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous, I loved the shower. There was ample space for 3 girls to comfortably get ready in the bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows just added to your whole Vegas experience.

If you're staying at the Wynn and plan to eat and drink there, know that it is an expensive hotel, and you will be paying 4-5 star pricing.

One of the reasons why I would go back to the Wynn is because it houses Tryst, and Encore houses XS. Two of my favourite clubs in Vegas. Staying at Wynn allowed us complimentary access to XS and Tryst, it also allows you to get in, get ur stamp, go back to ur room, drink some more, change your shoes and come back.

The concierge is great for guest listing at other clubs; we had no problem getting in when guest listed through the front desk.

Lots of pretty photo-ops too.

We recently had a wonderful stay in the Tower Suites of the Wynn Las Vegas.

We arrived on Friday afternoon, dropped off our rental car at Encore, and then walked over to the Wynn registration area. We immediately discovered we were in the wrong area (the Tower Suites are like a hotel within a hotel, with a separate entrance and check-in), and proceeded to the Tower Suites, where we were checked in and received an upgrade within minutes. Even the glitch we had with rates (I had booked with American Express Platinum Travel, and they did not process the rate correctly in the system) was handled quickly and professionally.

After check in, we went to our room, which had been upgraded to the Executive Suite, which was amazing. I love the his and her bathrooms. The suite overlooked the golf course and pools, a view you do not normally see in Vegas. Even though the weather was a little chilly and rainy, we were able to watch the golfers every day.

The food was fantastic. We ate at the Country Club Grill, the Terrace Point Café, the Café at the Drugstore, Tableau and Wasuzu (Encore.) The food was excellent everywhere we went. We particularly enjoyed the Jazz Brunch at the Country Club Grill – the best raw bar selection ever, and Tableau, which has atrium seating overlooking the pool, and is located within the tower suites.

Even though the hotel, casino, rooms and food were excellent, the thing that sets the Wynn and Encore apart is the service. Everyone we had the pleasure of meeting, from the front desk personnel, the concierge, housekeeping, casino staff, wait staff, doormen, maintenance…everyone was friendly and service oriented. We had a wonderful conversation with one of the women who tended the Koi pond outside the fairway villas entrance one afternoon. I wish I could remember everyone’s name - they were all so amazing!

It is the service above all that won us over, and the reason we will return for our five-year anniversary, rather than going back to the other luxury hotel where we were married.

Yes, it is not cheap. If you are looking for the economical vacation, this is not the hotel for you. However, if you are looking for excellent service, food, and beautiful surroundings, this is perfect.

I cannot wait to return to the Wynn, and recommend it highly.

I just returned from a three night stay with my boyfriend. We were able to find a great flight/hotel package deal on the Southwest Airlines website (about $378 per person for flight and stay) which is why we chose the Wynn over more mid-range hotels (i.e. Planet Hollywood, Mirage, etc.) and other higher-end resorts (i.e. Venetian, Bellagio, Ceasar's Palace). This was the fifth trip to Vegas for both of us and, between the two of us, we have stayed at properties ranging from Circus Circus, New York New York, Flamingo, Luxor, Paris, and the Venetian. Overall, we were very pleased with the Wynn.

Compared to the Venetian, Bellagio, and other resorts on the Strip the Wynn lobby and casino area feel significantly less crowded and smokey partially due to the layout of the hotel and also due to its less central location on the Strip. We found this attribute to be a huge plus because it created an oasis for us to return to at the end of a day and night out. The service, from the front desk to house keeping to the concierge to the restaurant and shop attendants, was outstanding. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. which made our check-in fast. At 1:00 p.m. we received a phone call from the front desk to let us know that our room, located in the 25th floor and facing the strip, was ready. Every employee was respectful and polite.

A few notes that I haven't seen posted recently or at all follow:
1) A small outdoor lounge area, with a great view of the Lake of Dreams, is located just outside of the check-in area. The bartenders that work there make excellent cocktails, particularly mojitos, and there is always an open space to sit down and enjoy the view.
2) Hotel guests do have slight preference at the restaurants, bars, and clubs. For example, we didn't bother with reservations for Stratta but were seated right away despite the lack of unreserved and open tables.
3) Be prepared to use cabs for getting around the strip beyond the Bellagio. A pro and con of this hotel is that it's, in comparison, remote from the more central hotels on the strip
4) The Concierge is very helpful in recommening nighclubs, restaurants, etc. located outside of the hotel and can print boarding passes and complete online check-in for your flight
5) You can view your bill for charges using the TV option in your room and use the Express check-out form to confirm any charges to forgo the front desk altogether upon check-out

Enjoy your trip!

We stayed here for 3 nights on a very good deal - 3rd night free, $139 per night the other nights and $50 credit.

The rooms are very nice, we had a view of the golf course and pool, and very quiet. Rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities you expect in Vegas, with the addition of a mini bar.

I would definitely stay here again if it was a good rate.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in March for our 10th anniversary and we both agreed it was our best vacation ever. We stayed on the tower side and it was beautiful. The customer service is really what makes Wynn a cut above the rest.

We ate at Botero's, SW Steakhouse, and Sinatra's. They were all expensive but fantastic. My wife is a steak eater and loved the steak at Sinatra's.

We only go every couple of years but can't wait until our next visit!!

This is probably our favorite hotel on the strip! From the casino to the shops to the hallways to the rooms...it is absolute luxury. The restaurants are fabulous except for the buffet, which we did not like one bit-especially for the price and after waiting an hour in line. The bedding is so delightful that I came home with some of it after our stay because it is available at their Home store. Love the floor to ceiling windows, layout of the room, the bathroom is beautiful and the service is impeccable! The nightclub in the hotel was super fun and convenient. The pools are gorgeous to say the least! We spent most of our time on the private side where 'tops are optional' because kids are not allowed there-and although I do love kids, it's nice to relax by a pool without them around sometimes. Too much to mention...we were super amused with too many little details...like the fact that when we got to our room, my husband's name was on the phone display. Marble everything...just awesome.
