“Good night at Las Vegas”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

We stay at 2 bedrooms 2 bath on 28th floor. We had corner suite. The view from the master bath is amazing. The bathroom is huge with big tub but not jets and two shower heads in the shower. The kitchen appliance is very average. We had a good rest here and the market cafe down stair is nice but a bit expensive so does other hotels anyway. It is convenience in the morning on the go.
No casino and smoking but we did encounter some lady that is really drunk in the elevator but the security is aware of the situation and follow them right away. You do have to show your room key to get into the elevator. It is close to aria,Bellagio, cosmopolitan hotels.

Just stayed here 2 nights in late June...I am really trying to find things to hate.. but I can't. As a Marriott Silver Elite rewards member I was really wanting to stay somewhere and get points yet not be too far away from the strip. Never staying at a Marriott "resort" location before I "rolled the dice" and booked this one, pun intended btw. My wife and I are REALLY glad we stayed here. The free parking is NICE... of course it is customary to tip the valet's, they were all friendly and quite helpful during our stay so it made parking a breeze. We rarely took our rental car out while there too. Hotel is RIGHT across from the southern corner of the Planet Hollywood mall entrance so getting into air conditioning on a hot day and close to the action was great. Staff all friendly for the most part, we got some breakfast snack type food in the little store in the lobby and the staff all friendly there and the prices were very reasonable. We got a muffin, some cereals, waters, milk and stuff for about $11.. not bad at all. We only used the 5th floor pool and enjoyed it. Having the bar and grille for drinks and lunch was also great. Pool was a bit cramped and some of the guests didn't watch their kids who were running and splashing everyone but the bar tenders kept those people in check thankfully. Hotel did have construction going on so we were warned prior to check-in and again at check-in. Only inconvenience was some of the elevators were out of service so it made waiting a little longer at times, but not too annoying. Some halls/sections were blanketed off as well, but we never heard and construction work going on, nor were we ever awakened. Out room did smell a little bit like paint which was slightly over powering but if it had recently been redone then understandable, again, nothing I would whine and complain about. I did like the decor in the bathroom. This was not my first time to Vega$ but because of our experience at the hotel and our trip in general my wife and I said we would start coming back to Vega$ more often, hopefully the Grand Chateau will be available on our next trips.

I was recently in LV for a conference and stayed at the GC. I had a split reservation which under normal circumstances is not that confusing. I received the proverbial email before my arrival offering customized service. I explained my reservation details. I was assured everything was taken care of. No such luck. When I arrived they had no idea what I was talking about. I explained it again. Then again the next morning when I checked out and back in, then again when I lost my key, then again at final checkout, then again when they completely screwed up my rewards credit shorting my 5 days. What a bunch of armatures. My room was serviced 5 of the 6 days and vacuumed twice. The bed looked like it was made by one of my kids. Like I said, for the money it was adequate. Good location one block off the strip. The pools were nice but small. If you are looking for customized service, this is probably not the place for you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper floor so they can ignore your request.

We stayed during EDC week and this was by far the best place to stay. Half of our party was attending the event, so the two bedroom villa was perfect for the four of us. We were close enough to the strip to access whenever desired wroth about a half block to the intersection at Las Vegas Blvd. The master bedroom had a king bed, two side tables with drawers and a spacious dresser and closet. In the room, before entering the bathroom there was a large soaking tub and vanity area, and then into the bathroom with a walk in shower with two shower heads, and more shelves for storage. The lockoff had a king and queen sleeper sofa, kitchenette and standing tub and spat combination and similar sink setup. Full kitchen with all necessary cooking and baking utensils, pots and pans, sets for six, glass top dining room table and sleeper sofa in the living room. Having the washer and dryer was great as we did laundry the last day and came home with almost all clean clothes. We stayed on the 16th floor, right off of the elevators with a great view of the strip. The location sits between Planet Hollywood (behind to to the left) and Polo Towers, across from Aria. Construction of the third tower was still going on and is scheduled to be completed in a few months. The only thing that was affected while we stay stayed was the elevator as only half were running but the longest wait was just a couple minutes. Neither pool was crowded and the bars were stocked fairly nicely. The 38th floor has Skybar 38 and is the place to view the entire city. ..absolutely beautiful at night with all of the lights and cooler weather, and day is a great spot as well. The staff was amazing and incredibly friendly, even with the festival going on the resort remained quiet and organized which we were very thankful for. Complimentary valet was fast and extremely convenient. Take the coupons the concierge gives you to Bonanno's, which is on the corner at the strip on PH's side to dinner, we ate there twice! Cocktail hour and Bloody Mary bar in the mornings as well as other events the front desk will tell you about at check in. Perfect for families or anyone wanting to experience Vegas and be able to relax all at the same time. Safe, quiet, beautiful, clean; what more could you all for?

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor, especially one with a view. If you are travelling with a split party, say a...

What can we say? It's JW at it again and again... The name speaks for itself! Has to be one of the cleanest hotels on the strip. Reserve, quiet, professional and always willing to assist.

You will not be disappointed!!

Room Tip: The best room view is the highest level and on the front side..!

This is a very nice property. Nothing too fancy in interior decoration..but definitely very family friendly and somewhat "luxurious"..they have 2 pools - the new one on the 5th floor is usable.
What would make the property 5 star ?. Upgraded rooms ( the sofas kind of look like from a rental service )..and although the pool is great - it doesnt compare with any of the famous pools in Vegas. Even across the road they have a full size Hilton pool ( kids started complaining..can we go across the street ? ). The staff is extremely friendly and great.

We have stayed at a dozen different Marriott timeshare properties and the Grand Chateau rates high on our favorites list. Our nicely appointed two-bedroom accommodations consisted of a one bedroom unit (#2414) and a studio (#2416) with connecting interior door. The master bedroom has a king size bed, vanity and a large, deep bathtub. The primary bathroom (accessible via the master bedroom and kitchen) has a glass enclosed shower with dual shower heads. The full kitchen is furnished/equipped with everything you need for a lengthy stay. There is a fold out sofa in the living/dining area and on the studio side there is a king size bed, a fold out sofa and a limited kitchen (small refrigerator, microwave and sink). The view could have been better as our windows faced McCarron Airport, not Las Vegas Blvd..

The property is very nice. There is a small swimming pool, Jacuzzi and bar (Sky Bar 38) on the top floor. The main swimming pool and a bar & grill are located on the 5th floor. A mini-market, main bar and a fitness center are located on the ground floor. The Grand Chateau offers activities (some free, some fee-based) for all ages and there is an activity room for the kids. The hotel is conveniently located 1/2 block from the "strip" and across the street from the Miracle Mile Shops and Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino. There are no daily activity/resort fees or Wi-Fi internet access fees at the Grand Chateau - even the mandatory valet parking is free!

Our party included three generations; from seniors down to pre-school and all enjoyed their stay at the Grand Chateau.
