We like to stay off the strip in Las Vegas and South Point is just the ticket for us. The location is great for sightseeing trips as it's quick and easy to get to I-15 or Las Vegas Boulevard. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The hotel has several activities on-sited, so if you want to stay in, there is still plenty to do. Parking is a breeze. We'll definitely be back. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but there's a fee for Wi-Fi in the room.

We had been wanting to stay here since it opened so we decided to stay for a night here before checking in to our other hotel. I really liked this place, it is open, clean and they keep the drinks coming while your gambling. The room accomodations were excellent. The room was clean and had internet available in the room for an additional charge. They had plenty of towel and provided and in room safe, iron, hair dryer and toiletries. They had a coffee maker in the room with enough coffee for two. I also bring extra creamer and suger as there are never enough. But I think if you needed more you could call thedesl and it would be provided. Several dinning options that are well worth the money. The garden buffet was really nice and worth the value.

Stayed here on an extended long weekend (Sat-Tues) for $40-$70 per night. Moneywise, the best part is that there is no resort fee at this hotel although high speed internet is $12.99 per 24 hour period.

Overall, the place was very clean.

South Point itself is fine, nothing great, just fine. It is waaay off the strip, so if you want a little p&q (relitively, but who goes to Vegas for that!) it's good. The shuttle driver did drop me off at the Convention Center, not a regular stop, so big tip for him! :o) The rooms are large and QUIET, not too run down, again for Vegas. We won our cab faire back on the penny slots, so good there. Food was fine, no complaints. All in all a good value for the money, but probably won't stay there again. Too much "shuttle time" for me & smoky.

This was about my thirtieth trip to Vegas and before this trip, I always stayed on the strip. Now that my son and daughter-in-law live out there, they recommended South Point. They often play Bingo, poker and the slots there as it is closer to their home. for about a third of what I usually pay, South Point was great. On a par with a Hilton or Doubletree. Small pool area and the outdoor restaurant wasn't open but otherwise just great.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 Year wedding anniversary this year, we got great airplane tickets from Travelocity then needed to find a hotel. We were on a budget and the strip hotels although amazing all charged resort fees. We found this hotel and not only was it reasonable it had free shuttle service from airport and an hourly shuttle to the strip for only 8 dollars per person per day. The Hotel was not running wild with children or tourists. The pool and hot tub were great because you did not have to go through the casino or hotel lobby to get to it, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurants were all fantastic and upon check in you got a coupon book for all of them. Also visited the Movie Theater and saw first rate movies. We are not big gamblers but you will not be disappointed in the choices of gaming options.
