Twice now I have stayed at the Red Rock Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Although I prefer to be closer to the strip, the accommodations are wonderful and the staff can’t seem to do enough for you. There are multiple restaurants at the Red Rock so you have many different dining styles to choose from. The Red Rock also has a bowling alley for those that enjoy bowling and a large cinema with the most recent movies. Casinos? Oh yes, casino’s and Bars are always within reach.
During the evenings, it is a short trip to the strip to take in the night life and shows which are always great.
If you don’t mind not being directly on the strip, I found the Red Rock to be a wonderful alternative. Everything you need.

Room Tip: Try to book a room overlooking the strip. You're quite a ways away, but the view is wonderful!

The hotel is clean, modern, serene, and offers a bit of everything except great access to high end restaurants and shopping (a mall is being built nearby) and the strip shows. We wanted a locale which was above average for its pool, spa, cleanliness, and sports book. All criteria were met. It also has a movie theatre, food court, bowling alley and some chain eateries attached which certainly are geared to the locals and are along the periphery of the property. The staff was attractive, attentive, and well informed. There is a mix of ages including families with children. You will still see the young, well healed crowd, but not the obnoxious bachelor/bachelorette or trust fund types walking along the strip like they own the place. There is a free airport shuttle to the resort which leaves every other hour (even hours) from 6am-8pm (it also does a last bonus run at 9pm). The shuttle runs from resort to airport every odd hour from 5am-7pm. Similarly a shuttle runs to and from the strip at two hour intervals, the last run back to resort is at 10pm. We went to the strip twice for shows, you need to book the early 7 ish show, the drop off is at Fashion Show across from Wynn, it was a piece of cake after Wynn Le Reve to get back to shuttle, however from Paris (Jersey Boys) we had to boogie and barely made it. Keep that in mind when planning shows, may want to cab it if further south on the strip (and then might as well stay out later). Btw we messed up and missed airport shuttle by two minutes the day of departure which was a $50 cab fare lesson. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I would love if they would go smoke free.

Room Tip: Might want to be closer to elevator, then decide whether you want to see strip (it is further away t...

I loved the setting of this resort. The rooms are beautiful and the resort is lovely. For people that like to have the quiet of being away from the strip, this is a good choice. We especially loved the spa pool. It was really peaceful and quiet.

I found that we were treated very impersonally at this resort. At one point I dropped my phone into the pool and ran around the hotel looking for a bag of rice to absorb the moisture. Despite the fact that there are many restaurants in the hotel, no one was willing to give me a bag of rice. The best the concierge had to offer was to walk a mile or 2 to the nearest costco or grocery store. As soon as we got out of the resort, the first restaurant we went to got me a bag of rice happily. This is just one example of how we did not get any personal service or feel like anyone was going to go out of their way to make us happy.

Brought my 14 year old daughter and 8 year old son here. I had lots to do, shopping, gambling, while kids had the movie theater and bowling alley. It was a great location to jump in your car and geocache and that was another perk.

Went here for a conference and spent a couple of extra days to relax. It is a long way from the strip. It was about a 45 min drive from the airport. It is a very nice place. The room was great, very comfortable. Wifi connection was horrible. Since I was there for a conference that was very frustrating. The conference rooms were pretty typical too cold or too warm. Since it is Vegas there was no coffee maker in the room, I could go off on their practice of this but why bother. room service for breakfast was relatively good and a decent price so I got my coffee that way most morning and only ran down to starbucks a couple of times.

I am not a gambler but I like to people watch and a casino is always a good place to do that. Red Rock is no exception. They had some good restaurants there, a bit pricey, but being off the strip they have really no competition so they can be.

The pool was beautiful. It was a bit chilly out so we did not really get to enjoy it but we keep saying we are going to go back just for the pool.

Room Tip: Wifi is horrible. I don't think I paid for it but if I did they should have taken it off. Rent a...

Stayed here for a convention. I've been to Las Vegas many times before but this was my first off Strip stay and it won't be my last. The resort is beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough for you. They have a free shuttle to the strip and airport. The room was excellent and the casino is fairly large as compared to other places. Lot's of food choices and they even have an Imax theater.
I highly recommend the Red Rock if your headed to Vegas.

A huge casino hotel away from the strip in the suburbs, but everything you need is here. It can be a very long walk to your room, but the guest rooms are large, comfortable and clean with excellent views. A good array of dining outlets - the pub was our favourite. Multi-screen cinema is great, but as always in Las Vegas, the casino floor is large and noisy. Nice pool area, highly recommended if you don't want the madness of downtown Vegas.

Room Tip: Get a room near the elevators - the corridors are endless!
