We enjoyed two junior suites in the penthouse level of Tower 2 of this wonderful hotel. It is located off the strip in a peaceful area but it is just a short walk to all the action, either out in the open or via the moving walkways into the MGM Grand Casino (which is a fantastic casino, by the way).

The suites were well appointed with a king bed and sofa bed, a kitchenette complete with microwave and small cook-top, a bar size fridge and all the cutlery, cups, cooking utensils you could need.

Beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were huge and complete with enormous spa bath and TV as well.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and were quick to send someone up to fix a problem we had with the plumbing during our stay.

The Tower 2 pool was the only one we used although as a guest you are allowed to use the pools at the other towers or the facilities at the MGM Grand.

There seemed to be a mixture of families and couples staying at the hotel.

We booked the hotel via Rental at Signature Direct so the price was really good value for such large rooms in Vegas.

Really enjoyed this hotel and would stay again. We loved the proximity to Planet Hollywood which was one of our more favoured casinos and the Miracle Mile Shops which were fabulous!

Would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay again. Oh and the Delights cafe located in the lobby serves great affordable and quick meals.

Room Tip: Pretty sure all rooms would be great but Penthouse level rooms have a balcony and a fabulous view of...

Stayed here with two kids and the experience was great. From check in to check out everything went smoothly. We stayed in a studio and the room was clean and the view was great. I do agree that the carpets are starting to show wear and tear. Hardwood would be so much nicer. The bathroom is large and having the kitchen area is a plus. I think the highlight of the room was the television in the bathroom, My kids loved it!
Pools at the hotel were much better then the lazy river. It was very lazy and renting a tube was very expensive. If you are staying here for more then three nights go food shopping and eat at least breakfast in your room.

Room Tip: We used VBRO and had an awesome experience

The Signature at MGM is a set of condos that are being rented via (what appears to be) the MGM management company. Because of this, it has a bit of an "odd" feel to the property as the service levels are not what one expects in a high end property, possibly because of this de-linkage of ownership and management.

Checking in -- upon check in at the gate, we were directed to Tower 3 as this was where we were told our room was located. We valeted our car in Tower 3, and then were directed to Tower 2 for our check in. The car stayed in T3 and we ended up staying in T2. Not sure why….but that was what happened.

As Hyatt Diamond members, we were fortunate to get Hyatt credit for the stay (we think -- jury is still out), as well as status matching on the MGM M-Life program. However, the check in desk has NO idea what your status is, and apparently cannot confirm it. Seems odd and very inconsistent with our experiences across a number of hotel chains Although we were M-Life Platinum, it does not appear that any of the benefits were given to us. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the pool that from all appearances was a typical room. Recommendation to those of you using your Hyatt Status to match M-Life status – do it early, make it known, and squawk more to get (the unclear to us) benefits. There are other benefits of M-Life such as discounted MGM show tickets that may be valuable to you.

Valet Parking – Self parking is not available at this property, although they do provide “free” valet parking (tipping suggested). When we pulled up, we asked how long it would take to get our car – the response was “about average length of time except when it is busy then it is longer”. When we asked what that meant in minutes, as in, was this 5 minutes, or 10 minutes or 15 minutes …. We eventually got an answer of “I don’t know for sure as this is only my second day here”.

Valet Parking II – In your room is a phone with a fancy button with the title “valet” and a picture of a man and a car. Silly me thinking that this was a normal hotel with valet service, we hit the button and asked that the car be pulled around and were told “we do not provide pull around service for valet – you need to come down and scan your receipt in at the desk”. Long story short, you end up having to wait every time for your car since there is (apparently) no way to call down to have your car pulled around before coming down. Not exactly 5* service.

Resort Fee – from my past postings, you probably realize that I am not a fan of resort fees and believe that they should be put in the room rate. My position has not changed, there is a resort fee of $25 per day but to the credit of MGM and the Signature it is well displayed and documented on the web site and when you make your booking. That said, I still believe it should be part of the room rate, and I have no idea what I got for my “resort fee” per se.

Non-Smoking hotel – this was quite nice given that we are not smokers, and the Casinos are full of smoke. Credit to the Signature for being non-smoking.

Restaurants in the hotel – in Tower 2, there is only one restaurant to speak of. This is the “Delights” restaurant located on the ground level. It is a breakfast, sandwich, pizza shop that is (for Vegas Strip location) “somewhat reasonably” priced. Our number one complaint about this restaurant is that they have hours until 9 pm, but when we showed up at 8:52PM to grab a quick bite to eat – it was locked and closed. Complaints to the front desk at the Signature were on deaf ears as apparently, the Signature does not own the restaurant (again, the dis-connect between management and owning) and therefore the front desk was unwilling or unable to do anything about this situation. Although not a catastrophic issue, this was yet another one of those minor things that made us feel that the Signature is not really a “hotel” to speak of, but rather a collection of things managed as, and trying to act like a hotel.

Pools – the Tower 2 pool was reasonably full of kids most of the time, and the Tower 1 pool has a restrictions for no children. However, the Tower 1 pool is about the size of a postage stamp, and has a maximum depth of 4 feet. Neither pool really did the trick for us – if you have kids, the Tower 2 and 3 pools are probably a good place to go and have more space than the T1 pool. Note the extra charges for the lounge chairs and cabanas ($75 and up).

Rooms – the room itself is ok – a bit of noticeable wear and tear around some of the furniture. The shower “runs at one speed” meaning that you cannot control the amount of flow. A fairly large refrigerator, a microwave, and stovetop makes this a place where if you needed to make a lunch or re-heat a snack, everything is here to do this. The dishes and utensils have to be requested from housekeeping.

Rooms II – compared to other rooms that we have stayed at in other Vegas properties – the quality and features of the Signature are not the same as what you will get at the Venetian, or Mandalay Bay, or other MGM properties, in our opinion. For the same rate, or even slightly higher, the other properties offer a much nicer experience.

Location wise – this property is essentially two blocks off the strip, you can walk to the MGM grand via a series of walkways and then wander through to exit on the strip, or you can go out the back at Tower 3 and take a left on Harmon and walk two blocks to the strip. Being off the strip has some advantages in terms of noise levels and may very well be worth the trade off for many customers.

Overall – not what we were expecting given the ratings and our prior experiences in Vegas combined with our feelings that the hotel management is just that – managing, but not fully engaged as if it was their property. Our experience is not consistent with the relatively high Tripadvisor ratings two to three stars is where we feel this property sits with plenty of room for improvement.

Room Tip: Tower 1 is closer to MGM Grand, Tower 3 is closet to E. Harmon Avenue

We stayed for 4 nights in Tower 3 and hated to leave. It's an easy walk thru enclosed passages into MGM Grand and if heading North on the strip - cut thru Planet Hollywood. The rooms are incredible - we had a 1 bedroom corner suite that overlooked the Tower 2 & 3 pools - which by the way are great too. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed - a quiet oasis right on the strip and we loved that it was non-smoking. We were surprised to find out how many resorts are owned by MGM and you can charge directly to your room at numerous other resorts (including the Bellagio and Mirage). We purchased our Love tickets in the MGM at the Ka Theatre and received 30% off because we were hotel guests. When we go back to Vegas - we will stay at the Signature again - highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Honestly - they are all great - but higher up will give you a better view and Tower 3 has some road...

We stayed in tower 2 for 6 nights in October 2012. A bit pricy but very very nice facilities. Massive bathroom and great comfortable bed. It's a block off the strip so you have to walk about 15 min to get to the strip, but because of that it's nice and quiet. You get stung with the resort fee, but it at least includes valet parking and wifi.

This is our 4th trip to Vegas. We have stayed at the Luxor the MGM and the Wynn. After the luxury of the Wynn we thought we were spoiled forever but the Signature gave Wynn a run for the money.
From Loipa the maid to Ceclia and Mike at the concierge desk, literally everyone we dealt with was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. The suite was spacious, well decorated, and the second bathroom was a huge plus. Loved the fact it had a balcony. The fresh air was great.
Not a question of if we will come back, just a question of when.
