“No casino, no smoking, gotta love it”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

We wanted a 4 1/2 star hotel and got really lucky on Priceline with a great price on the Signature at MGM. I love the easy check in without having to walk through a casino. And the non smoking part for me is perfect. Room is lovely, well appointed, well decorated. Casino in the MGM, along with several restaurants and access to the strip are just a walk away, all air conditioned from the 111 heat. Concierge was very helpful in getting us dinner reservations. Nice retreat from the chaos of the strip and casino, but all accessible when wanted.

The Signature at the MGM is the best hotel I have stayed in. We experienced very professional staff as well as amazing housekeeping each day. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with full kitchen located on the 30th (PH) floor located in the corner. The views were fantastic, overlooking the strip on one side and the MGM pool on the other. Tower 1 is the best as it gives you close access to the MGM amenities as well as it's own fitness center and a Starbucks located downstairs. It's also close to the MGM pool, which had the best lazy river! The MGM is located to many other restaurants right outside of the grounds, which can save you money. It's well worth the walk. We appreciated the fact that it's quieter and after a long day in the casinos, shopping, eating areas, it becomes a nice retreat to rejuvenate for the next day. Check out was effortless, except the additional hotel property fees they tack on, but this is standard. I would definitely stay here again and again and again...highly recommended. Call ahead and see if you can secure a suite in Tower 1 and on the upper floors, you will not regret it.

Room Tip: Corner suites located in Tower 1 and situated on the upper floors is best.

We have stayed at the signature twice and just love it. We are Vegas addicts and just love the craziness of the city. What makes the signature so special to us is it's nice to just kick back at the end of a hard day at the machines and just chill.

The signature is about at a steady pace a 15 minute walk from the main MGM gaming floor. There is a private entrance to the hotel near the restaurant walk way / MGM main pool entrance, and the minute you hit that entrance the lack of smoke and pleasant aroma of this hotel hits you. We are both non-smokers and whilst been on the gaming floor doesn't bother me (we're not one of those annoying non-smokers) it's still really nice to escape it in the Signature.

The rooms here are enormous and on both visits we have had Penthouse and Upper Penthouse rooms whilst I'm not sure if they are any bigger or better it's still fab to press the PH or UPH buttons when getting in the lift! It's makes you feel at least a little bit like a high roller ;-)

The rooms are also amazingly equipped but I can say we made most use of the blender to crush ice and make us some mean margaritas before we headed out each night!

Finally the pools are great and there is one per tower the only thing it lacked for me was shade and in the desert heat it can obviously be fierce.

If you want somewhere just a bit away from the craziness of the strip but still so close you can almost touch it, with the luxury of all suites then here is the place for you!

This was my third trip to Vegas having previously stayed at the Stratosphere and Bellagio, so I'd aimed for something in between in terms of cost and luxury. I was not disappointed in the least. The Signature at MGM Grand consists of three subtle yet attractive towers behind the MGM Grand and slightly off the main strip. It's location I found was perfect as it would take 10 mins to walk to Planet Hollywood and it's Miracle Mile Shops opposite The Bellagio, which is as central as you'd like. Taxi's are easy to get almost as soon as you leave and it's extremely clean and very quiet, one of the benefits of not having a casino on it's ground floor. The MGM casino is a few minutes walk through a few corridors and never felt too far away. I stayed on the 24th floor of tower 3 in a deluxe room which is fantastic and modern. I did have a balcony which was nice but rarely used. Staff are friendly and accommodating which we found on arrival, my father-in-law's room was booked into a different tower from that of me and my wife's, and they happily changed this immediately so we could be in the same tower on the same floor.
Amenities are good with their small Delights cafe serving quality food but not many options on the menu, and a decent sized gym that never seemed very busy.
Tips:
1. You can walk very quickly to a side entrance of Miracle Mile shops by walking to Signature main entrance, turn left onto East Harmon Ave and crossing the street at the lights onto Audrie Street, 100 yards on the left you'll see stairs leading into the shopping centre. This way you can avoid walking round onto the strip in 105f/40c heat in summer!!
2. Most ATM's charge $5 or $6, there is a Western Union with free ATM machine on the corner of East Harmon Ave and Audrie Street.
3. May be common in US in other places but...buy a coffee from Delights cafe and keep your receipt for free refills all day.

Room Tip: Higher rooms will provide a better view, ask for a view of something in particular such as Cosmopoli...

Stayed at the Signature for ten nights and loved it.

The rooms were very spacious and well decorated. The jacuzzi bath was excellent and we had a good view of the strip from the balcony.

Used the MGM Grand pools every day as they are worth the five minute walk through to it.

The trek through the MGM Grand to get to the strip can become a bit monotonous at times but i wouldnt let that stop me staying at the Signature again.

A good hotel with decent rooms and good service but if you are looking for a hotel which is bang on the strip with the convenience of visiting your room off and on during your visit then you have to think, as if you are placed in any one of the towers, then walking to the actual happening place might be a good 10 minute walk. Yes it is through an indoor connected pathway but then often you feel the need to visit your room for a little break and you find you need a good walk up and down.

The staff is though very helpful and has good advices for you. We booked all our show tickets through the front office and though we did pay a little extra as compared to the regular "discount booths' you find all across the strip but the seats we got were worth the price. The regular booths may sound discounted but usually you get side seats or not very good views. As such you have spent so much money on the trip so might as well pay a bit extra for a good view seat at the shows. This advice was given to us by the Concierge Randy Burton and was very correct.

Thank you Randy :)

However, one aspect needs to be highlighted. Our flight back was in the evening and we requested for a couple of hours late check out but that was strictly not allowed by the front office lady and that too in a not very friendly tone. While we understand that the regular time is 11 AM but we were there Tues - Thurs in May which I presume is not very high season hence felt that a couple of hours late check out should not have been a problem, as I have witnessed many a times in many other hotels of the world.

Room Tip: Don't expect the "Strip View" as the rooms are way behind the strip. However, a higher...

We were very pleased with our apartment which had a separate lounge/kitchen & 2 bathrooms. We were less impressed when we found we were in Tower 3 with no view when we specifically requested Tower 1 with view overlooking the strip. Staff were very helpful & changed us to Tower 2 with a small view of the strip. We suggest contacting the MGM before arrival to confirm suite requested. It is a long walk from Tower 3 & 2 to get to the strip.

Room Tip: Ask for Tower 1 on a high floor with a view of the strip.
