We stayed at the Platinum over memorial day weekend for the first time and our check in went well with an upgrade given to us and very efficient bell service with luggage brought up promptly. The room was large and all was in good working order. The carpeting right where it starts off the tile was very badly stained which did not seem too inviting however. The pool was good and pool service, food, etc was also very good. The staff was friendly and efficent. Our main complaint came after we left and realized we had left our feather bed pillows from home. When I called back I was told they were not turned in and the room had been rented out already. Seems kind of strange that there would be two pillows with different pillowcases and a different size than the other pillows used on the bed left on it when the maids made it up. Makes me think that someone decided to keep the pillows or just didnt want to bother with sending them to us. We will not be staying at the Platinum hotel again because of this. There is alot of competition out there for hotels and I would hope some would try a little harder to return items that are left behind which Happens alot I am sure.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without stained carpeting.

Thank you for you review and comments. I am sorry we were unable to locate the pillow that was left behind, and will have my team double check lost and found. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any additional questions or choose to return to the hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Platinum and while I typically don't take time to write reviews I thought anyone travelling to the Las Vegas area should know about this hidden gem. It's located just off the strip for those that don't want to be overwhelmed by the typical 'busy' strip casino hotels and would prefer a more relaxing stay - but still close enough for your gaming activities. Service and staff is impeccable. And once they learned that we were there for our anniversary - a nice card, bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries arrived to our room - what a welcome surprise! The hotel also touts a wonderful fitness center and pool area. This is truly a luxury hotel and we highly recommend it.

This has been our 8th stay at the Platinum. Each time we go there reminds me why we continue to frequent this lovely hotel. The staff are fabulous, from the valets, to the doormen, to the cleaners, right up to Claire the front of house manager. We have done that been there with all the "strip" hotels, but sometimes when all is said and done, you need somewhere to call home, and Platinum does that for us. With free wifi and use of the gym, you can not beat the value of this boutique hotel. The rooms are huge, all with balconies and massive bathrooms. If you need anything one call to the front desk has someone knocking at your door within a couple of minutes. We entered our room to a bottle of chilled champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries, and a hand written card welcoming us back again (try getting that at Wynn). Happy hour at the intimate bar (4pm till 8pm) has cracking cocktails for $5 and tapas for less than $4. Don't know what more I can ay about this place, just try it.!!

Andy and Tracy Young (England)

A friend and I travelled from NZ to stay for 5 nights - and this place is impressive. Leaves any other hotel in Las Vegas behind due to it being an apartment hotel, with a proper kitchen, living area, bathroom and bedroom.

There are few cheaper options either, and the short walk off strip (no casino, no smoking) makes a huge difference.

Staff were excellent, as was the service, and the valet parking was a bonus.

Room Tip: Strip view, high up room

Stayed at the Platinum and had a fantastic time. Rooms were huge, very clean and simply gorgeous. Loved the balcony and view of strip. The staff was the best I have ever experienced. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.
Here is my recommendation--If this is your first visit to Vegas then by all means stay somewhere on the strip to take in the whole Las Vegas experience. But if you are a seasoned traveler to Vegas then I highly recommend the Platinum. We have stayed on the strip numerous times and it’s not all that impressive to us anymore. Yes it’s fun but at the end of the day it’s nice to return to the Platinum where it’s quiet, smoke-free and away from the ding, ding, ding of the slot machines.

This hotel was perfect!!! It was close to everything, but offered a great place where we could go and relax without all the craziness of the strip and casinos. I especially liked the clean, non-smoking atmosphere; it was awesome to wake up and not smell like day old cigarettes. The pool was really nice and had a great view. The staff at Stir bar was really friendly and a bartender, Nathan, always remembered us and was really knowledgable about stuff to do in Vegas. Were planning another trip in September and we'll defiantly be staying at the Platinum Hotel again!

Thank you for the great review. Our sanctuary concept is to provide a relaxing getaway without the chaos of the STRIP, yet close enough to walk to. Close to the attractions without all of the distractions. See you in September!

I recently stayed at the platinum and I would have to say to anyone going for the Vegas experience not to bother! The rooms are nice but the whole point of Vegas is to stay in one of the amazing hotels. To be fair it’s not far to walk but there is just no atmosphere – the bar shuts at 11 – ridiculous! The pool area is small land very uninspiring. The service desk were useless , one of the party were given a room that was supposed to have a strip view instead it was of a flat roof and stunk of grease, when she complained she was told there were no other rooms available so she had to downgrade! There were no porters to help. If this hotel was anywhere but Vegas I’d say yes it’s ok to stay at but it is Vegas and there are loads of other hotels that are available that will give you the Vegas experience! if it was a lot cheaper then again it would be ok buy you can get the other 5* hotels for the same price.
There was no free Wifi in the rooms, it was supposed to have in the restaurant but i coudl never get a good signal - funny how the one you had to pay for always had a very strong signal
