“Believe the hype”
Reviewed 27 July 2011

This was the third time I had booked accomodation after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and once again the result was a fantastic holiday and therefore welcome to my first review as I have benefited from other people taking the time to post there comments. There really isnt much I can add to all the positive and good things that have been said about this hotel except that the image of the hotel I had in my mind from reading previous reviews was very accurate to what I found. Everything about the rooms, staff and ammenities is spot on and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end our 3 week USA driving tour and it was by far the best hotel (and best value) of the 12 we stayed in on our trip. It started with Nathan on reception very kindly allowing us to check in early (and book out late for a late flight). We then went to our suite (Princess Suite 10th floor) which was huge, nicely fitted out and very comfortable with great views of the strip from our balcony. All the staff - reception, concierge, cleaners, maintenance, pool area etc etc - always had a smile and always spoke to us.
The hotel is in a great location, ten minutes walk max from the centre of the strip so it is convenient for all the hotels, is in a safe area and has a fully stocked 7-11 just around the corner.
We loved this hotel and will certainly return - and we are recommending it to all our friends!

Room Tip: go for a high room to avoid noise from the road and the pool

Stayed in this hotel for our college reunion, we also had our dinner in one of their function room called Misora at their 17 th floor. We all enjoyed our stay as well as the dinner, food was delicious. The staff were helpful and courteous. Their room is so spacious, clean and updated. This will be our hotel to stay every time we visit Vegas.

We arrived after a driving trip taking in the Big Sur, Sequoia National Forest and Death Valley which was amazing!
We found the hotel and knew about the valet service. As we had a lot of luggage from our travels we wanted to pull over out of the main thoroughfare to allow other cars to pull in... We hadn't even stopped the car when we were waved down by one of the valets who then proceeded to shout at us. We explained that we had a lot of luggage to gather together and felt uncomfortable as he tried to take the keys when we had hardly a chance to unload a thing. We are reasonable folk with little demands but we honestly did feel that unfortunatelt he was more of a hindrance than a help.
I went into to get a baggage trolley and found chap inside was very helpful as was the lady at reception.
From then on we had an excellent time. The queen suite was beautiful, it had it's own kitchen, sitting area, balcony and large jacuzzi in the lovely bathroom.

Wifi in the rooms was not free but available at a reasonable price. We enjoyed staying just a short walk from the strip and would definitely consider staying here if visiting again.

"We got married in a fever" ... and a suite at the Platinum was a great place to throw all your stuff around in as you're half way through a mini road trip with a Vegas wedding thrown in! It's just far enough off the strip to not cost the earth, but close enough to easily walk to, and to see it in all its glory from your balcony. It's worth getting a mid-level and above, just to experience the fact that it's got a bigger footprint than my house!

The staff were really friendly and helpful (when you treat people well, you get free use of the house car, and really good advice!). I'll be back as soon as our friends make the plunge and get married there...!!

We decided on this New Years Eve Trip at the last minute and got a great rate. Our room at the The Platinum was gorgeous, huge and had a great view of the strip. Room Service was Excellent and the New Years Eve fireworks view at the top flloor was fabulous. Las Vegas was very cold when we arrived but getting around by taxi was at a reasonable price. We saw 3 fabulous shows that we booked 1 day before or the same day calling the 1-800 number in the "Las Vegas" magazines in the room. A+++ overall experience, except we couldn't visit as many hotels/casinos as we would have liked due to the frigid weather but we'll be back when it's warmer.
