“Just wow!”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Booked this on the last minute for the last night of our 2 week road trip after cancelling our booking at the Stratosphere (due to it being in an awful area!) What a wonderful end to our holiday, especially when we checked in and they told us they were giving us a free upgrade to a Marquis suite! 2200 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 huge bathrooms with walk in showers and whirlpool baths, full size kitchen with washer & dryer (great for getting all your clothes washed before you go home) wrap around balcony with table & chairs overlooking pool area and view of the strip. It was spotlessly clean, free wifi, free parking (valet parking only so don't try and drive into the car park) No casino so a world away from the other hotels, we had stayed in the MGM Grand at the start of our trip so we did have something to compare it to. Gorgeous pool area with comfy loungers and sofas and swim up bar. Had breakfast in restaurant next morning and that was excellent and very reasonable. Staff at check in desk and in restaurant were very friendly, polite and professional. The only downside to this hotel is that it isn't on the strip itself, it's one block away, this is fine for avoiding the hustle and bustle of the strip but I did feel that once you leave the strip you do feel a little more vulnerable, this wouldn't put me off staying again though, wished we could've stayed longer and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others - fabulous!

As one of our owners loves to say..."Fantastic!" We are thrilled that we were able to meet and exceed your expectations. Our Marquise suites are pretty special and at or above 2200 square feet, almost any size family will feel comfortable and with plenty of space. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again next time. All the best.

We stayed 3 nights at the Platinum hotel on our tour of Vegas and Arizona. The big suites were great for a family of 4 - separate bedroom with tv, huge bathroom with separate tub and shower and double sink and a full kitchen. The non-smoking rule throughout the hotel was great too. It's a bit of a walk of the strip (2-4 times a day in over 100 degree heat) but we cut through the Bally so it wasn't as bad. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great place off the strip.

I really didn't expect to to have the 3 day weekend that I had at the Platinum! We arrived from San Diego on our Harley's… Long drive and quite warm. Greeted by a friendly and protective staff (they went out of their way to make sure we had the perfect parking spots for our bikes!) Julie, upgraded us to a 1200 sq ft suite. The room was unlivable, full kitchen and laundry, not to mention the bathroom WOW! A quiet, sophisticated lobby/bar with NO SMOKE, WOW! A beautiful pool WITHOUT blaring music and out of control 20 somethings WOW! Delicious meals, with at least 1 comped full breakfast from the restaurant manager WOW! (nice) Happy hour extras, and pleasing touches like flavored iced waters in the lobby to cool your parched Nevada thirst WOW!! It was hard to leave… and I will go back just so I can be WOWED!!

Thank you for the excellent review. We do strive to make this hotel more of a retreat from the typical 20-something party scene. With no gaming or smoking it really helps people relax and unwind. We are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope to see you next time.

Stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful vibe of the hotel- Lounged in the pool in the evening with a lovely view of the twinkling Las Vegas lights.

The suites are huge, really comfortable, and well furnished.

Staff are so helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

Thank you for the great review. We often hear ourselves referred to as the "oasis". I do agree and think it is fitting. Although all hotels will get their fair share of Las Vegas partygoers, we do our best to keep the parties away and maintain a comfortable and calm atmosphere. Thank you for staying with us. We look forward to your next visit.

A great choice if you want to be very near the center strip but not on it. A great price for luxury without a smoky casino and what that brings. Super clean, classy, modern, attractive, quiet and well-equipped. Fresh fruit-laced ice water served in the lobby was a nice welcome home each day.

Our room was basically a one-bedroom apartment: full kitchen (granite, stainless appliances and washer/dryer), living room (sleeper sofa, gas fireplace and sliders to balcony with a spectacular and rare view of the strip), big bedroom with a second TV and a massive bathroom (two sinks, jetted tub, separate shower).

A short walk (10-20 minutes, depending on your fitness) and you're at the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, where Bally's, Bellagio, Caesars and the Flamingo are located. It's right near a bus stop and taxis are readily available if you're all dressed up and heading out for dinner and a show.

Just down Flamingo Road in the other direction are all kinds of stores if you're staying for a while and need supplies, breakfast foods, etc. We stayed for a week, with side trips to Utah and the Grand Canyon, so it was great to have breakfast in the room most days before venturing out and to pack lunches when we left the city.

Staff were generally very helpful, especially the concierge, who booked a canyon tour for us. Room cleaning service was excellent. Some desk staff could learn a little more about what's available nearby to better answer questions when the concierge isn't around. And you might have to walk by some homeless folk on the way to and from the strip, as warned by other tripadvisors, because Vegas has all kinds of people, like most cities.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of The Strip. The higher up, the better!

We have spent 2 nights at Platinum Hotel in Las Vegas and it was great. The appartment was really big and had nice furniture, balcony and bathroom. The pool area is really excellent, a combined indoor and outdoor pool. It is a really nice place to stay at. Wifi is working excellent all over the place and it is free. So is valet parking also. The hotel is located in walking distance from the Strip. The best thing is, that there is no casino at all at this hotel! The hotel and rooms are nice quiet. The staff are nice and helpful. The fitness room is fairly small. Unfortunately they have no breakfast buffet at the hotel - our kids would have liked that.

Thank you for the nice review. We do sincerely appreciate the feedback and are glad we met your expectations. We do try to, not nickel and dime, our guests, which can be found quite often out in Las Vegas. I will also share your suggestions on breakfast with our Director of Food & Beverage as well as our Chef. We hope to see you next time.

We spent 3 nights in a very nice, spacious (88m2) apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette. Excellent bathroom with a two-person jaccuzzi. Excellent location - close to the downtown but quiet and no casino in place which was an adventage over the most other resorts (casinos with hotels). Place worth of reccommendation if you want to stay away from all that downtown noise but want to have a quick access to the famous places.
