I'd heard a lot about the Platinum Hotel from friends and I read all the reviews good and bad.mfor Starters the manager took the time to reply to almost every single one. Their Facebook page keeps you up to date on the happenings and deals at the Platinum Hotel and Spa. Upon arriving my son and I were greeted and quickly accommodated. I explained my wife would arrive later they went above and beyond to contact me in my room to seeming there was anyway they could make the process of her arriving any easier. The staffs moto here at the Platinum seems to be just ask and they will do everying in their power to make it happen within reason. Friendly knowledgable and accommodating. Very close to everything and if it's far the staff has a shortcut. I'd recommend this place to couples, families, anyone who needs a getaway relaxing friendly atmosphere. Busy but not packed. Try it for a weeknd and you'll be back..

Definitely an oasis of calm after being in Vegas. Lovely pool area. Helpful staff and happy hour cocktails worth trying. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Would recommend Ellis Island casino, a couple of doors down for a cheap steak. Also try to see Le Reve at the Wynn - great show.

Thank you for the great review. We are glad we met your expectations. Ellis Island does have some good deals and some of the cities best ribs. If you don't want to leave the hotel we offer a great happy hour in our STIR lounge from 4pm to 7pm. It is 1/2 off various drinks and appetizers. Good food too. I did see Le Reve and have to agree with you. Good show. Take care, we hope to see you on your next trip to Las Vegas.

Going there, we were expecting a 4 star hotel. I would rate it a 3-3.5 hotel. We have been in better 4 star hotels before. Overall it was not bad. But we will not go there next time. They could clean the door glass and tables and front desk area better and also the doors of the rooms from the hallway side was very dirty. The carpet in the hallways was very dirty. The room itself was clean but old.

There are many emotions surrounding reviews. Some people have a very high tolerance and they merely roll with the punches, allowing themselves to get punched in the face while others actually stand up and see things for what they really are. They call it as they see it. Others have a certain euphoria for many reasons so nothing negative will affect them or very little at that. and that only in part affects the inconsistency in the reviews you come across. Additionally, some online sites including check-in sites actually do manipulate and shape the reviews despite what they may claim. There are also paid professional reviews too posted online.

Now with my review. There are dirty carpets throughout the room. Dishonest front desk staff. Worst of all, I don't believe this is a safe place to stay. The neighbourhood is really shady.

We specifically asked to stay away from the power plant and get a higher floor. We were told at front desk we were going to be given a higher floor away from the power plant. The card said 4th floor. We were put right in front of the power plant.

Dishes supplied aren't clean. The large jacuzzi style bath tub but no working jets. Employee morale is low. The lack of self parking really make all this obsolete and negates the kitchenette concept because you have no place within walking distance to buy groceries. This is one if vegas' worst part of the town.

On the positive, the amenities in the room are decent. Bose sound clock radio but you can't connect your iPod or iPhone too and reception is poor likely due to the interference from the powerlines. The place is close to Ellis island.

Next time we will stay at another hotel Polo Towers instead.

Room Tip: Always asks the staff directly where am I staying, what floor, what view, and if it is away from wha...

Thank you for the review and feedback. I do sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. This is certainly not the type of experience many of our guests experience and rave about. Although I do not have an estimated time of completion, I know we have started the process to replace the carpets throughout the guest rooms. If you are ever willing to give us another chance to win back your business, please contact the hotel and ask for me specifically. I would be more than happy to personally get involved in your next stay and help ensure a more comfortable visit that meets or hopefully exceeds your expectations. Thank you again for the feedback...we will learn from our errors.

My husband and I traveled to Las Vegas this week for a work related trade show. We travel to Vegas 4 or 5 times a year and have stayed at many various hotels. Our stay at the Platinum was very nice! It is in a good location (Short walk up Flamingo to the Strip), our room was extremely nice - clean, quiet, well appointed, and the hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating. We will most definitely choose to stay again, and will tell others about the Platinum.

Room Tip: We were on the 17th floor (the top floor) and our room was very quiet - we never heard anyone!

Booked this on the last minute for the last night of our 2 week road trip after cancelling our booking at the Stratosphere (due to it being in an awful area!) What a wonderful end to our holiday, especially when we checked in and they told us they were giving us a free upgrade to a Marquis suite! 2200 sq ft, 2 bedrooms, 2 huge bathrooms with walk in showers and whirlpool baths, full size kitchen with washer & dryer (great for getting all your clothes washed before you go home) wrap around balcony with table & chairs overlooking pool area and view of the strip. It was spotlessly clean, free wifi, free parking (valet parking only so don't try and drive into the car park) No casino so a world away from the other hotels, we had stayed in the MGM Grand at the start of our trip so we did have something to compare it to. Gorgeous pool area with comfy loungers and sofas and swim up bar. Had breakfast in restaurant next morning and that was excellent and very reasonable. Staff at check in desk and in restaurant were very friendly, polite and professional. The only downside to this hotel is that it isn't on the strip itself, it's one block away, this is fine for avoiding the hustle and bustle of the strip but I did feel that once you leave the strip you do feel a little more vulnerable, this wouldn't put me off staying again though, wished we could've stayed longer and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others - fabulous!

As one of our owners loves to say..."Fantastic!" We are thrilled that we were able to meet and exceed your expectations. Our Marquise suites are pretty special and at or above 2200 square feet, almost any size family will feel comfortable and with plenty of space. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again next time. All the best.

We stayed 3 nights at the Platinum hotel on our tour of Vegas and Arizona. The big suites were great for a family of 4 - separate bedroom with tv, huge bathroom with separate tub and shower and double sink and a full kitchen. The non-smoking rule throughout the hotel was great too. It's a bit of a walk of the strip (2-4 times a day in over 100 degree heat) but we cut through the Bally so it wasn't as bad. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great place off the strip.
