“Very disappointed”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

I have been an owner at Tahiti Village for 10 years. This is the first time I actually stayed at the resort. The unit I was assigned to was in tower 1 and was dated and worn. The hallways were always strewn with garbage and for the entirety of our stay, did not appear to have been vacuumed. The same errant items remained in the same place for days. The staff was accommodating and I guess I should have stated my dissatisfaction with the room but I did not. That was my downfall.

I would only stay here again if I don't trade my week and attend a trade show next year. Ask for the new tower, I will next time.

Room Tip: Ask for the new tower

Thank you for your ownership. We regret your first visit with us fell short of expectations. It is especially disappointing to learn of the housekeeping issues in the hallway. We assign staff to monitor interior common areas for trash and dispose of it immediately. We are sorry you were subjected to the sight of garbage for the duration of your stay. You’ll be happy to know we are presently discussing room renovations. Thank you once again for your ownership. We appreciate your feedback and will work diligently to make a more favorable impression on your next visit.

The staff of the property was amazing. The property was awesome. The lazy river is a blast. The rooms area immaculate and the parking is good. They offer many shuttles to the strip and the drivers a charming.
This is one of the better property's in Vegas for the price point. I would be happy to stay there again.

this is an excellent resort with well furnished suites.Very clean and safe. the pools are good and the lazy river is a pleasure. Outside areas are immaculatly clean and the staff pride themselves in maintaining standards. The resort has a full day programme that has something for everyone.
It was a pleasure to stay here.

A very nice family resort , the Bora Bora unit was a good value for money at 250 dollars a week through RCI. The unit was reasonably big for a 1BR , well furnished , had a full kitchen , washer/dryer and had a balcony. The resort also had an excellent shuttle service to the strip. The problem though was the common areas and facilities , they were clearly insufficient for the number of units. We had to wade through a crowd of people on the narrow walkways , the swimming pool was always crowded and the carts to transport luggage were really difficult to get hold of.

On the positive side , the resort was VERY family friendly with no objectionable material on display ads nor any inducement to gamble nor any slot machines on premises.

On the whole , though it could have been rated as good anywhere else , by Las Vegas standards (which means a 5-star hotel room on the strip for 4 with a straight unobstructed view of the Bellagio fountains and the Eiffel tower can be had for 60 dollars a night) this one can be rated as only average.

Room Tip: Always , always choose top floor. This is a family resort with a few hundred noisy kids on any given...

Thank you for your visit. We are happy you found great value in our nearly 1,000-square foot Bora Bora unit. As you mentioned, it has numerous deluxe amenities that make it an ideal choice for families or an extended stay. Although we are not exclusively a family resort, and do not market ourselves as such, it is true that we attract numerous families owing to our spacious guest units, aquatic attractions and onsite activities. This is especially the case in summer, which is by far our busiest season. We are sorry for any inconvenience you experienced as a result. Thank you once again for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will consider another visit sometime soon.

Hello,
Stayed here for 7 days.
The outside pool area and general look of the exterior are well kept and there are always workers around to keep it beautiful.
That said, this is fully a family resort. This is good or bad, depending upon what you are looking for.
The pool is FULL of kids, the lazy river is overrun with kids.
The prices for the pool food and drink are quite reasonable.

The areas of serious disappointment include : 1.check in ( huge line, 2 people working the check in desk with very old system...took 2 hours),
2. The room. We stayed in the Morena and it is tiny, no balcony, carpet is ancient and the bathroom sorely needs updating. The lighting makes it impossible to get ready in the bathroom
3. The hallway to the room was disgusting. We actually began to count the bits of left over plastic/ trash on the carpet and could manage to get to our room without even looking at the room numbers. Even the last day, I took a picture of some trash that had been there for 7 days. I never heard a vacuum,,,,ever!!!
4. Please don't waste your money on the luau! The food was disgusting, the only people who could see the show were in the front row!!!!
5. The fitness room has old equipment, and although it says there are two fitness rooms, there is actually one.
Would I stay here again? Maybe if I was given a room that they must use to sell the vacation packages! Certainly doubt it was ours.
One last thing: the shuttle service is actually quite nice to have: but no airport pickup even though it is 5 min away. Whole foods and a nice shopping area is almost directly across the road.

Thank you for your visit. We are disappointed we didn’t make a more favorable impression. Please accept our sincere apology for the long check-in wait, which is not typical even during our present busy season. The condition of the hallway leading to your guest unit also falls well below our standards. We continuously monitor the interior walkways for trash and remove it on sight. We are sorry this was not your experience.

We are surprised our 580-square foot Moorea unit did not meet your requirements. Even without the deluxe amenities of our larger Bora Bora unit, it is still a considerable step up from most standard Las Vegas hotel rooms. The Moorea includes a kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a private bedroom with king bed, and a sofa sleeper in the living room. It comfortably accommodates up to four people.

We are sorry our weekly luau fell short of expectations. The sightlines are greatly improved since we moved it to its present location, affording everyone a good to great view of the entertainment on the elevated stage. One of our fitness centers was a casualty of our main lobby expansion, which paved the way for our new bar and bistro. The remaining workout facility, in Tower 5, typically meets the modest fitness needs of most of our visitors.

Thank you once again for your visit. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will consider another stay.

We will definitely return. We traded our timeshare for a week here and very much enjoyed the pool and lazy river. We booked an extra couple of days and we were informed that we needed to bring our keys over each day until our week started to have them re-programmed again. It was not too much of a hassle and we are glad they told us about it at check-in. Check-in went smoothly. The Wiki Wiki store is nice to have. The shuttles and the drivers were very good and it was nice to have them to take us to the strip. The Concierge was a big problem of ours. We have 2 small children and wanted tickets to The Knights of the Roundtable and because we were not willing to take their tour and listen to the presentation they would not help us get tickets. Instead they quoted us $110 a ticket and told us to go on vegas.com as that is where they get their tickets they said. We went to Tix4tonight instead and got tickets for $52 each. My husband was talking to a concierge lady about a buffet and she was very helpful with that and then my husband told her what happened with the other Concierge staff and she asked how old our kids were and he said 3 and 5 and she said unless you have your own babysitter we were not able to go on the presentation anyway. We were very grateful to her for telling us that. I can't remember her name, but she works in Tower 5 and was wonderful. The poolside bar was very good and has decent food. We found it to have better food that 17 degrees south, the restaurant onsite. Our only other complaint is that EDC kids were staying there. Not sure how they were able to book rooms, as most of them looked pretty young. The were pretty rowdy. We stayed in Tower 5 and we were told that is the non-smoking one, which is what we requested.

I have to start by saying I guess some people will never be happy. Currently staying at the Tahiti Village one bedroom Bora Bora unit and it is beautiful. We stay at many timeshares due to being a member of RCI and this is one of the best. All those people that say the parking garage is so far must be staying far away. We are staying in tower 5 and it is not a big deal to walk. The unit is beautiful and everything is so clean. We have a balcony that overlooks the lazy river and also can see the lights of the hotels from the strip. Tahiti Village is perfectly located from the strip if you don't want to be in the middle of the hub bub. Right across the street is the outlets with shopping and lots of restaurant us to choose from - even Jersey Mikes subs which is a favorite of ours since we are from Jersey shore. The steam shower and jacuzzi in the unit are a nice addition. The pools and the lazy river were very refreshing and pool bar had lots of drink options. Yes they are a bit expensive but no different from the rest of the strip. Everyone who works here is so friendly and we highly suggest staying here. Oh almost forgot, there is a Denny's and a brand new restaurant on site - both excellent choices if your hungry.
