“Roaches seen on multiple occasions both in the hallways, common areas and inside unit.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Arrived late at night, perhaps this is why cochroaches were visible. Completely grossed out.
I have stayed here before, had a great time. This experience was disgusting. Had an entire basketball team and their respective families staying in various rooms. Will be choosing a different location in the future.

Thank you for your visit and your feedback. Please accept our sincere apology for the unsightly cockroaches. Our comprehensive pest control program is typically very effective in keeping them at bay, even at their peak in the height of summer. We appreciate your bringing this to our attention. We will certainly investigate the issue and step up our extermination efforts. Thank you once again for sharing your comments. We hope you will reconsider your decision to stay elsewhere on your next visit to Las Vegas.

This was our first time bringing the kiddos with us to Vegas and wanted to stay in more family oriented place. Our kids are 2, 4 and 9 of age. We booked the royal Tahitian room and it ended up being on the 10th floor. Which is just two rooms adjoined together. When we first checked in, after standing in that long line, we get to our room and it isn't clean. Called the front desk and they were kinda rude and said it would be a few hours until someone would be by to clean it. So my husband went and tracked down a housekeeper and she was very nice and cleaned it up right on the spot. And we got a $50 voucher to the restaurant there to make up for it. We went to the Luau and bought the VIP tickets, which included front seats and a drink from the bar, which was a tiny glass of watered down Mai Tai. The food was not that good. Grilled chicken and pulled pork, macaroni salad, fruit, dinner roll, shrimp casserole type thing and pudding for dessert. You get a Leigh before coming in and the you take your seat. The whole thing is outside. So you will be in the elements. It was cloudy and rained the night of ours, so the luau was cut short, but we were refunded our tickets for it. The Dancing was really good and entertaining.

Swimming- there are two pool areas, the main pool area and the lazy river. The lazy river has an adult only area adjacent to it. There is a bar there too. You can bring your own floaties and whatever you like. There is a sign that says no outside food or drink, but they don't strictly enforce that. We were able to bring in bottled water without any problem and I saw people bringing in pizza and food that they ordered from the restaurant.
The main pool is large and has a beach area and another volley ball area, some shallow shelfs to lay on lounge chairs. It's no more that 4ft deep in the deepest parts. There is also a jacuzzi area. We had a blast in the pools which was the highlight of the hotel experience. There are also BBQ area you can grill and picnic outside . But it's outside of the pool area. There are life guards on duty, and the pools are open 10am-10pm with exception of the jacuzzi area, which is 24hrs.

All in all it was an ok experience 3 stars, they lost points for cleanliness and the decor was so so and not a lot of storage to put your belongings in. Like the dresser was small. But there were pluses like flat screen tv's in the room, but not very many kids friendly Channels all the kids get is Cartoon Network. Our room had a washer and dryer and complimentary detergent, but we had to buy dryer sheets. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need in it for cooking. They don't clean the rooms until you check out. We stayed for a week. If you want them to make beds and clean sheets it will be extra. Our view was a parking lot. I'm sure there are nicer views to be seen here, we just got bad luck this time a round. It was very crowded. Often had to wait in a long line to get onto the elevator from the ground floor. But not bad from any other floor.
Would I stay here again, probably, but not my first choice. And I don't recommend visiting Vegas in July, it was 110 + degrees, which is why we spent most of our time in the pools.

This is the first time we've book for this resort and it was more than we expected. I've read some of the not-so-good reviews before we booked but gave it a shot. It was well worth it. The pool was amazing and the lazy river is nice. The rooms are large although the TV doesn't have a lot of channels. WiFi is available. Plenty of towels at both pool and lazy river. Kitchen is alright but can use an upgrade on the cooking utensils. Denny's is located on the village and there's Whole Foods nearby. Shuttle almost always on time, which is very nice. Very courteous staff. The exercise room was more than I expected and there's a large lounge room available if you want to meet with friends or just to get away. Not a single slot machine that I've seen, which is very nice and it is family friendly. Overall experience is pretty good.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room on the upper floors.

I didn't understand that there were differences in service and amenities at time shares. I actually booked my stay thinking it was a hotel. This is family oriented timeshare with lots of kids. The resort is away from the Las Vegas strip but there is shuttle service.
The good:
Large rooms, some with kitchenettes and some with kitchens. Very nice pool are with a sandy beach and a separate lazy river. Wifi was free. Good shuttle service to downtown.
Not so good:
Waited an hour and a half to check in, then was only offered a lesser room than I reserved. The room was "tired" and a bit worn, as was the resort in general.
Can't charge a drink by the pool using your room number, you must go have the concierge make a photo ID for you.
I didn't realize that housekeeping doesn't clean your room but once a week unless you pay a substantial fee.
Only one restaurant on the premises, however there is a Denny's next door.
Generally the level of service was not what I expected.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We are indeed a timeshare resort that also accommodates retail guests, like a hotel. As you mentioned, there are some differences in our business model, particularly as it pertains to housekeeping. You are correct that we offer a midweek cleaning on weeklong stays. This is in deference to our timeshare owners, who are often here a week or more at a time and do not want the intrusion of a daily housekeeping visit. One of the benefits of staying with us is you get to take full advantage of our attractions and amenities that are otherwise reserved for our vacation club members. Our huge sand-entry beach pool and relaxing Lazy River are very popular, as you probably noticed, and our spacious guest suites offer the kind of amenities and roomy comfort you won’t find in a standard Las Vegas hotel room. Please accept our apology for the unacceptably long wait at check-in. Summer is our busiest season, but it should never take even remotely that long to get you into your room. We will investigate our scheduling to make sure we are adequately staffed during peak arrival times. Our new onsite restaurant, 17° South Booze & Bites, opened this summer and has been garnering very positive reviews. Thank you once again for your feedback. We appreciate your visit and hope you will consider another one sometime soon.

Great place to stay if you don't mind not having a casino on property. Fun for families. Close enough to the strip to enjoy all of the gambling and night life. The staff is helpful and friendly. Fantastic place to stay in Vegas.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The pool, lazy river were the way to relax and take in the sun, the daily activities for the kids kept them busy. It was also great to have the south premium outlet mall a block away for the serious shoppers in the family and the strip so close when we were ready for adventure.. We choose the largest room this resort offered lots of space for everyone and I would suggest this arrangement especially if you have teenagers.

There were a few glitches which we got over fairly quickly. I had requested a pool facing view which was not available when we checked in and the front desk person not helpful or apologetic which was frustrating. I had to call several times to get extra pillows and blankets and another time had to call 2 x for a frying pan. With both of these times the staff were apologetic for the over site. These were minor issues and I will definitely stay at this resort again.

Room Tip: Choose the largest room if you have teenagers, & pool facing view.

We stayed at Tahiti Village using our timeshare exchange over New Years this past year. We had a one bedroom and had friends staying on the pullout couch. The room itself was large, clean, and well appointed. The bathroom was huge and had a steam shower option which was nice. Although when we were there we didn't use the pool area it was really neat with all sorts of landscaping boulders and a lazy river. We stayed on the third floor and we couldn't hear noise from below, only the airplanes landing at the airport which is only a five minute cab ride away. The planes didn't make enough noise to bother us. This location is about a 15 minute drive from the strip. However, they have shuttles that run frequently to both ends of the strip, and the drivers are awesome and very entertaining! There is an outlet shopping center you can walk to which we fun. There is also a Denny's attached to this location. I had never been to a Denny's before and the bacon and eggs did the trick! There is also a bar/restaurant upstairs called "Tahiti Joe's". We went there for happy hour pints most nights before heading out!

On a whole we enjoyed our stay at this location. The people were nice and accommodating. The shuttle service was nice so we didn't have to take cabs constantly. The rooms were clean and large enough not to feel cramped with four people staying there. I would go again if we were looking to stay off the strip. I think it would be a good spot for families or people who aren't really into the night life on the strip.

Room Tip: I would assume rooms around the pool area would be loud. The third floor was perfect.
