“OUTSTANDING SERVICE In a Boutique Atmosphere”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

Fantastic/Wonderful/Outstanding/Five-Plus Stars!!! If I were to rate the Cromwell solely on the level of service I wouldn't be able to complete this review in the space allowed using all the accolades deserved. But combined with the rooms, atmosphere, and complete VIP service every patron receives, I would love to give them six stars but will have to stick to the maximum allowed of five.
As an overview, the entire staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating. The rooms convey a warmth and richness with excellent bedding, an incredible shower, and furnishings which have a Parisian flair that's cozy and comfortable while offering all the modern amenities like a huge flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The luxury king room had all the space we needed while still providing an intimate feel. The additional features like complimentary coffee stations on every floor, complimentary breakfast buffet, and undoubtedly the friendliest service/wait/bar/casino staff we have ever met made this one great place to stay which I will highly recommend and (obviously) will rave about for some time.
Let me expound by saying that prior to our visit I was sent a very warm and welcoming email from one of the concierge staff (Nicholas Arnold) offering his assistance and suggesting car service pick-up from the airport (a service I highly recommend to get your stay off to a great start for a few extra dollars and a lot less hassle). I took advantage of his assistance and requested hypoallergenic linen for the room, dinner reservations at Giada's, and yes, the car pick-up. Everything was perfectly handled as requested prior to arrival which meant all we had to do was have fun once we arrived. The Cromwell assigns a concierge to each guest which really adds to the VIP experience you receive while staying there. In addition to working with Nicholas, another concierge, Chan, was extremely pleasant and helpful with printing some documents for me. So regardless of who is assigned to you, all of the team treat you like their top priority - ready to assist in making your stay the best it can be - all you have to do is ask.
You can read the other reviews about the rooms but we found them cozy, romantic, comfortable, and well-appointed. The rich textures and hardwood floors can contribute to the "darkness" which others have remarked about but there is adequate lighting overall and more than sufficient lighting in bath and dressing areas where needed. The rainfall shower is outstanding and the Muk bath products provided by the hotel are great as well. We did experience a few issues with noise in the evening once in the room, but we were on the side of the building where there was ongoing construction so that was to be expected. We also heard the beat of Drai's upstairs our first night there but it wasn't overwhelming. We use a white-noise app when traveling and once on the outside rumbles were buffered.
The lobby bar Bound has an array of incredible drinks, but we found the appetizers there to be incredible. We sampled the shrimp and crab bowl and the sliders - both were fantastic and perfect for a couple.
We have always been impressed with the level of service we've received from Caesar-affiliated properties, but The Cromwell kicks it up to eleven. As noted before, it actually starts prior to visiting, but from the moment you arrive on the property you are greeted with helpful, friendly people eager to assist - never overwhelming or hovering, but always visible and available. Security is always visible but not intimidating, and eager to assist as well. Casino floor staff from cocktail wait staff to table dealers were some of the best we have ever experienced.
My wife and I are frequent travelers to Vegas and generally stay at Caesars but wanted to give The Cromwell a try - we're glad we did. And honestly, as creatures of habit we will probably go back to Caesars because it's "home" to us. But we will probably head over to The Cromwell to gamble and drink because the people and service we received there were the best we've experienced in Vegas to date. But I would definitely recommend The Cromwell to any younger couple or anyone wanting to put the "VIP" in their Vegas experience. It is a beautiful property with a great team of people eager to make your visit the best it can be. Our visit was outstanding and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Lower level and request away from Bally's construction for quietness (as of August 2014).

My husband and I , in our 50s, stayed at the Cromwell for 3 nights. The whole vibe, I feel, is towards a more youthful crowd. We were on the 5th floor, partial view of Bellagio. We heard the booming of the nightclub till all hours. Traffic and sirens were also heard... Though that is to be expected. The pool is not really functional as a retreat during the day. There is limited shade and the feel is directed towards a 20-something crowd. The rooms are beautiful, though dark.... Beds are exquisite, extra amenities in the bathroom, as a welcome and turndown service at night were exceptionnal.

Thanks for the review on your latest visit to The Cromwell! While we are delighted you enjoyed our rooms, beds, and amenities, we regret the disturbance you experienced due to noise outside of your room, as well as the pool lacking shaded areas. We strive to give our guests fun, memorable experiences, so it is always disappointing when we fall short. We hope to see you again in the near future!

If the night club is open you will get no sleep. My room was top floor in middle of hotel. I highly recommend a lower floor possible towards the ends of hotel might be better. Room are awesome nice and clean.Noise is a major issue.

It is a very nice hotel overall. It is a great location on the strip and the hotel and casino have a very private upscale vibe. The entire location has dim mood lighting and dark wood finishes. The hotel and casino staff may be the most pleasant I have ever been. Given the small size, this gives the whole place a very warm intimate feeling. The only real downside here, and it is a small one is that the non suite rooms are very small. While extremely well appointed, with a very comfortable bed there is no work area if you need to use a laptop for work.
There is only restaurant, Giada, which is booked 5 weeks in advance. They do a complimentary breakfast in the casino lounge which is nice. The other great feature is Drai's pool. By far the best views of any pool I have been to in Vegas. It has a very cool relaxed feel. You should make a point to see it.

Tried this new boutique hotel in Aug. Wonderful staff, great breakfast included, and their new Giada's restaurent is now our new favorite on the strip! But.... will not stay at the hotel because rooms are way too dark, cramped, dingy and
extremely noisy from the traffic below. Sorry Cromwell....we'll
be across the street at Caesar's but only coming over to dine
at Giada's.

Room Tip: South side noisy. ...North side looking at Flamingo walls. Stay elsewhere.

Thanks for the recent review. I’m glad you enjoyed the staff as well as Giada. I apologize our rooms were not to your standards. We are currently addressing the noise issue rooms can have from being so close to Las Vegas Boulevard. Rooms at Caesars Palace are bigger and are probably a better fit for you. We do look forward to serving you at Giada again.

Good time and great experience from top to bottom. Upon arrival, the service was great. Check in was easy and my bags never left my side until I was checked in and actually in my room. Fun friendly place. Drai's day club is a great time, fun and has the best pool views on the strip.
