“Interesting place to visit.”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

We enjoyed spending a Sunday morning at the Springs Preserve. Unfortunately, the gardens and the train were not open this day. They have wonderful, hand's on exhibits that would be great for children.

“Hidden Joy”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

Within view of the Strip hotels; this gem is a great getaway from the hectic Las Vegas of tourism. The Preserve is very visitor friendly (and child) with knowledgable docents very evident and accessible. Don't let the reviews discussing the walking deter you. We are seniors and tend to be pretty slow! A tram is available to circle the property and features a great tape with information on the history and biota of the Preserve. Elevators serve the restaurant. The museum is well laid out and has a lot of hands-on exhibits for younger visitors. Self guided and easy to navigate, the museum is no problem for anyone.

Note: Marvel at the small amount of water power needed to move a huge piece of stone!

The preserve is easy to find and is bordered by Hwy 95 and 15. E of 15. It's a short drive from the strip; not sure about other transport.

We spent a great morning there and then had lunch at their restaurant. Cooks/help are students from local culinary school. (the preserve is very involved with local education and ecology causes)
