Large room, very nice pool area. The location wasn't super great, but it wasn't shady and we felt safe with our kids. There's apparently a free shuttle to the strip; if you're wanting to go, use it, bc it's a LONG walk there.

While visiting from AZ for 3 days, upon checkin the front desk was very rude and very ignorant.
We had our credit card overcharged for the 3 days. We at first booked this room for 2 days but then went in and booked in for 1 day. The front desk said that that would be no problem. However, around 11:00 on the 2nd day the maid came knocking on our door, which we had a do not disturb sign hanging on the door. She told me that we had to get out because it was after 11:00 and I said that we had until tomorrow, she kept on arguing with me. We than left leaving the Do Not Disturb sign on our door. When we came back, the bed was made, and I didn't do that, also parts of the room were clean. When we checked out, my husband asked for the manager and he talkled to two manager while we stayed there. He asked them about the Do Not Disturb sign, one manager said that they go in to make sure that nobody is Dead, and the other manager said that no they do not go in. Well, now that 2 managers can't agree, why should we stay at a place. So I recommend do not stay there. I know I won't

Room Tip: Do Not Stay At This Hotel

The Mardi Gras is very disappointed that you are not happy with your decision to stay with us on multiple occasions. Please be assured that we take the comfort and satisfaction of each of our valued guests very seriously.
During your most recent stay your complaint is that a member of our staff entered you vacant room, while you were out and freshened the room despite you posting a do not disturb sign on the door. It is the practice of this hotel (and most others) to honor the do not disturb request. However, it is also our practice to inspect each of our rooms, both to ensure the well-being of our guests and to protect the assets of the hotel.
We are very aware that you have numerous other choices when selecting a hotel. Please allow me to reiterate, the Mardi Gras is very disappointed that we failed to meet your expectations. We hope that you will be more satisfied with your next hotel stay, wherever it may be.

We used to stay at Westward Ho and also get comped at Bally's, but not longer. This was our first time at Mardi Gras and found it surprisingly like Westward Ho - homey and friendly. Room had 2 queen size beds, just what we needed. Bathroom was modest but clean and everything worked well. The fridge was a welcome surprise, although ran a little cold, even when turned down. Plenty of room for clothes. Internet in the room was spotty, although always worked well in the lobby. We were told this as we checked in, so not a surprise. Hopefully they get that fixed soon. Pool was nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Suggest staying in 2nd or 3rd floor room on inside (courtyard as opposed to facing the road).

We stayed at this hotel fifteen years ago and I am afraid the rooms looked the same as they did back then dated and in need of doing up. We only booked this hotel as we were doing a road trip across the west coast and was only staying for two nights, when we booked it was part of the Best Western chain as it had been when we stayed previously so we thought it would have be updated, when we booked in we were told Best Western no longer owned it, you can see why. Having said that the rooms were clean and had everything that you needed, the reception area/bar and small casino area had be updated since we were last there and they still ran a small shuttle bus on the hour to Ballys hotel on the strip, I think they should have done this every half an hour really as twice the bus was full and we had to get a taxi and the same coming home of an evening the last shuttle was 10.05pm so if there was more than eight people waiting your chances of getting on were slim but plenty of taxi's about and Mardi Gras is just behind the strip but as in all of America the walk is a lot further than you think so better to get transport. Breakfast in the Mardi Gras look awful so we gave it a miss, the swimming pool was constantly full so we didn't get a chance to go in it. Would I stay here again....NO...I think this hotel really has had its day.

While visiting from Phoenix for 3days, upon check out i requested late chwck out (no later then 12:30p)and front desk granted request. As finial suite case was getting packed, the hskpg supervisor demanded that the rm door.when I complied she forced door open hitting my shoulder. She then proceeds to intimadate me yelling to get out of the rm now. I attempted to call ftont desk when employee used physical force taking receiver from my hand and became verbally abusive to me. (Now assult and battery charges along with cohersion pending staff.) When explaining situation to front desk requesting to see Gen.Manager was told that they were not going to bother them and refused to give any staff names or refused to file any report or diaplanary actions towards supervisor. Both my attorney and local police department will be notified. Think twice before staying here.

We booked this room through a soccer tournament. It was a "stay and play" tournament so the organizers had pre-selected hotels for the teams to stay. I assume the prices were discounted for this purpose. The set up of the rooms was good; two beds separated by a half wall. Very plain and only somewhat clean. Didn't like fact that the doors opened up into the parking lot. Door chains had been broken off so although safety wasn't a concern, we definitely thought about it.

Very smoky in lobby and restaurant areas. We ate breakfast in the little restaurant; food was fine; service was good. Service was very good and staff was very pleasant.

We ended up switching to a hotel on the strip after one night. The feel of the hotel was just not something we wanted. Fairly run down; strip hotels much more expensive but much nicer.

Room Tip: Upper floor??

good location and good value. Breakfast didn't have all the items they claim, so we only ate there one time. Whole family really liked the pool. all the big expensive resorts with their resort fees and such have pools that are mobbed. The one at this hotel had just a few at a time using it, so it was accessable. Oh the rooms are fairly spacious. I would stay here again.
