We live in Vegas, but it had been a couple of years since we stayed here. In typical Four Seasons fashion they did not disappoint - I LOVE this hotel! The rooms have been updated and our suite was spacious, beautiful, and sooo quiet. I highly recommend the 1 bedroom suite for families - the extra half bath and sleeper sofa is perfect for kids. The service was GREAT - our room was ready when we arrived early, our daughter loved the special cookie and the complimentary tween snack tray they sent up that evening, the pool side service is fabulous, turn down service was completed early every night (at our request).... too many things to list. The addition of "Press" coffee bar in the lobby is wonderful - We ate breakfast and picked up coffee to go there. The prices were so reasonable and the baked goods were yummy! Bottom line is this: Perfect hotel to escape the Vegas chaos. Never felt crowded. Always lounges available at pool. Great place for kids, and they will love the pools at the Mandalay Bay as well.

We chose the Four Seasons based on previous reviews which suggested that it was a great place to retreat to after the full-on experience that is Las Vegas - and this turned out to be true!
Our room was spacious, clean and tasteful. The bathroom is large and modern.
We had a drink in the lobby bar one evening before heading out for dinner, and enjoyed happy hour cocktails. The bartender was friendly and helpful and offered for my husband to try a bottled beer and swop if he didn't like it which was a nice gesture (of course he liked it in the end!)
The hotel is on a few floors of the Mandalay Bay, which means you can benefit from their facilities if you want, but it also has a separate entrance, which is quieter, and never seemed to have a queue for taxis unlike everywhere else we saw. Check-in/out were also extremely speedy for this reason and all of the staff were very courteous and helpful.
The location is at the very Southern end of the strip which is good for exploring the full length of the strip, however we had to take taxis in the evening to get to dinner which cost at least $15 each way so this adds quite a bit of expense.
Overall I would definitely recommend it if you want somewhere lovely, sophisticated and relaxing, and I would stay here again.

we had started our vacation 3 weeks earlier , also in las vegas, stayed at the mandarin.. nr 1, and it was great. ended our vacation at the four season, as we didn't need to be on the middle of the strip, and it was nr 2 on hotel list. Well must say,, we got of to a bad start, our room wasn't ready, while we arrived after checkin time, before they mentioned that, they tried to sell upgrade. i denied, after the mentioning of that room wasn't ready, i asked, upgrade at cheaper price if that room was ready... after that everything went into WOW mode.. biggest , nicest suite of hotel..what a view and what a service.. like i said bad start but after that.. wow.. very friendly, only one extra side mention.. take time for breakfast as they are very busy..2x about 20-30 min after ordering that foor came.. one extra..have diner in the steakhouse.. very good

My wife and I took came out here for a 4 day trip from Denver. The service, amenities, and conditions were all clearly 5 star. Everything felt personalized there! There wasn't one thing out of place. A thing to remember is that with the Four Season you get to take advantage of everything Mandalay Bay has to offer (pool, casino access very close) but it's not vice versa, which is very nice for the guests. You have your own private pool for the guests (also with fantastic poolside service), and your own spa. We will most likely never stay anywhere else in Vegas.

I guess the only con would be the prices for in house dining, but that is to be expected with in Vegas...so I have no complaints there.

Room Tip: All of the rooms for the Four Seasons occupy the top 4 floors of Mandalay Bay. 35-39 to be exact. So, be mindful when booking...there are no lower level rooms. The elevators are fast, though.

Check my reviews as I have stayed at many high end hotels all over the world. I know what to expect as a standard. Overall we were disappointed with our 4 day stay here. Let me tell you why:

First of all when I made the reservation I asked for a quiet room away from the elevator. When they emailed me a week in advance I asked the same and they assured me I would be at the end of the hall. Then when I checked in I again asked and was told "yes, this is a very quiet room." You can guess where it was? The very FIRST room next to the elevator?? Exactly how does that communication go wrong??

Second, the rooms are just OK. This is vegas and we expect large opulent rooms. These are not. On the small side and a bit plain. The shower is SO small its almost a joke. One sink (Two sinks is pretty much a Ritz/Four Seasons standard) and the toilet area smelled of sewer for the entire stay.

Add to this that there is NO bottled water in the rooms. They simply don't do this. Turn down consisted of removing a few pillows - no chocolate, tomorrows weather, etc. Very disappointing!!

Next - there are exactly 3 elevators for the 450 rooms at this hotel. You can imagine that wait times exceeded 5 min on several occasions.

Lastly, breakfast staff in Verandah were overworked and a bit slow. Breakfast took 45 min to be delivered on the one day we were there.

Now for the good things about this place:

First of all there is NO casino in the hotel. Wonderful! And no smoking! But if you need your fix of either you can simply go thru the "secret" door and you are in the casino of the Mandalay Bay. This "hotel in a hotel" feature is clearly the main selling point of this hotel. The only downside of that is, however, that there are quite a few kids here. Not a problem for us, but may be for others.

The pool was great. On the small side but never overcrowded. The pool staff were the BEST in the hotel. We spend most of our days lounging in the shade. The one downside here is that just over the wall was a world of mass chaos! We smelled smoke and could hear the loud music from the Mandalay pools.

Sunday Brunch at Verandah was amazing. Top 10 in the world IMHO.

The spa was great as well. As was the workout room. Steam and locker rooms free for staying guests. Our wives got a massage and pedicure and both said they were excellent.

The views from the room were excellent. As its on the far south end of the strip we could see all the way up. Best view of the strip for sure.

So to summarize: This is a great place to stay as its near all the action of the strip but without the casino and smokers. However its not anywhere near the Four Seasons level of experience that I have come to expect. If you can get a good rate and don't gamble, this is your place.

Room Tip: 39th floor is top. Get an odd numbered room from x105 thru about 131 and you will have amazing views of the strip.
