“Best in Las Vegas”
Reviewed 18 May 2010

We have stayed at almost every hotel on the strip and can say for certain that this is the best there is. Sitting at the top of Mandalay Bay, the Four Seasons is an escape to quiet and serenity after the bling, noise and crowds you will find everywhere else. The hotel knew that we were celebrating our anniversary and there was a cake awaiting our arrival in the room. This was our second stay and it was just as special as our first. The customer service is beyond excellent, the rooms are beautiful and you can enjoy their private pool or take advantage of the many pools of Mandalay Bay. Go to happy hour at the Veranda for yummy 1/2 price martini drinks. Steakhouse is excellent as well. All is great about this place. Do not hesitate, JUST GO!!!

We come to Las Vegas almost every year for business and a little bit of leisure. This is our second visit to the Four Seasons. We were there for five days. There are many good things about the hotel but just enough bad to keep us from coming back again next year.

Let me start with cleanliness. The maid service was good and arrived in a timely fashion, if you called them to come up. One day, we forgot to leave a tip and the maid left everything dusty. Also, in the kitchen, she took away the silverware and some food I brought from home. Overall though, the room stayed pretty clean.

Then, there's the service. It ranged from being efficient but not warm at the front and bell desk, friendly when delivering room service and very friendly service at the pool. It turned out that we had a problem with our suite. It emited these weird, disturbing sounds in the bedroom and bathroom, like someone was playing video games while the pipes were rattling and moaning. I think it was the sound of some engines in the middle of the hotel. It was in room 38100. When we took it up with the front desk, they were quite brisk with us. They did offer us another suite but it was right up against the airport's landing strip. It was loud and I knew we would never sleep there either. Being told there was nothing else available, we chose the lesser of two evils and stayed where we were. Obviously, no one else had wanted either of those rooms, because when we checked in, they told us they were full. Not a very good excuse when you're paying that much money or when they are supposed to be such a wonderful hotel.

The rooms, despite their noise, were well appointed, but the decor, a little unimaginative. Still, we enjoyed the comfortable beds and ample living space. There is a $14.99 fee for internet use, for those of you interested.

The spa is small but the therapists are good. My husband and I had a very relaxing couples' massage after the business portion of our stay was over. The pool also is small but so relaxing. The service, as I mentioned, is outstanding and the food and drinks, very good. It would have been wonderful if the whole hotel had been as well run as the pool area. Unfortunately, our experience did not yield that. For a "quiet hotel", this place lives up to its reputation by the pool and in the common areas, but in our experience, not in its rooms. And that's where you really need it, isn't it?

I have been to Las Vegas many times and go for a variety of reasons (Business, boys trips, trips with partner). Prior to this trip, I didn't even know the Four Season existed in Vegas. This hotel is perfect for couples or families. The hotel itself is dead quiet, but the Mandalay Bay casino is just downstairs, along with all the restaurants and lounges. The pool area is small, private, secure and quiet, but the Mandalay Bay pool area with the wave pool and lazy river is right through a locked gate.

I thought the hotel was great, the view was awesome and the service was what you always expect at a four seasons, outstanding.

Private pool for the Four Seasons guests was nice, quiet and full service. Right beside the big mandalay bay pool but yet still private.

My ratings of other hotels have been bad. I can say this hotel was a pleasant experience. You get to choose between Mandalay Bay benefits or Four Season Hotel Benefits
* Mandalay Bay pools or private Four Seasons
* Mandalay Trams/Casino/Entrance versus Four Seasons Private entrance

The housekeeping and staff were great. They met all requests timely and as expected. Included getting a crib, fridge, no feathers, printing boarding passes ...

Had an airport view. Expecting the worse with noise, however, almost no plane or outside noise. Very quite rooms. You are on the top few floors of the Mandalay Bay and the views are good. I actually found the airport view interesting.

A lot of hotels in this class charge a resort fee for some made up reason. None here. It is ironic that the one that has the benefits to support a fee does not charge. This is another sign that it is place that considers the lodgers.

The only downside I could mention is the tubs in the bathroom are the half size tubs. Otherwise, I can not come up with anything negative.

Tip - Find the obscure entrance to the elevators on the Mandalay Bay casino floor. Saves a lot of walking and puts you right at the action.

Just finished a stay at the Four Seasons and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is extremely quiet and has the feel of an intimate hotel despite the wonderful madness of Vegas that is so close by. The service was unbelievable.

The pool is a bit small, but the comfy cushions on the lounge chairs, the service and the "half hour amenities" more than adequately compensate. Every half hour, an attendant comes by with a different amenity. This ranges from cleaning your sunglasses, to a cold towel, to a frozen melon ball or even a small smoothie. It is heavenly. The tranquility of the pool is also wonderful. Guests are free to use the Mandalay Bay pool which is much larger, has a lazy river, wave pool, etc. However, we were unable to tear ourselves away from our oasis at the Four Seasons pool.

The workout room is great, and there are no extra fees for using it. Plenty of treadmills, weights, towels, water...whatever you need. Because of the time change we were bright eyed at 5 am on our first day. The staff actually opened the excercise room so we could go ahead and use it! They were amazing.

The rooms here aren't over the top. They do have everything you would expect from a luxury hotel (fabulous bath products, super mattresses, high thread count sheets, bathrobes, etc.) However, the defining factor of this hotel is service. From the doorman, to your waiter, everyone at this hotel seems to be on a mission to make you as comfortable and happy as possible. The Mandalay Bay is easily accessible and had all the action we could handle. We used the spa at Mandalay Bay, which was heavenly as well as took in some nightlife there. The Mandalay Bay was a great spot for heavy duty fun, but it was sooooo relaxing to go back into the Four Seasons when we were done.

The heart of the strip is a bit of a walk, but we certainly didn't feel unsafe when we walked it as one reviewer commented (and we were two women). One night at 10 pm we actually walked all the way from the Venetian. It was a bit of a hike but we were just enjoying the whole spectacle of Las Vegas.

This hotel has spoiled me for all others!!! Loved it!

I have stayed at many Las Vegas hotels over the years, but this was my first time at Four Seasons. Great room bargain price made it irresistible and my friends and I found it to be well worth the price! Beautiful room and gracious service made our stay very enjoyable. Poolside time was far more pleasant than the crowded, rowdy pools of other major Vegas properties. The attentive service by the Four Seasons pool staff made it a truly pampered time. I highly recommend the Four Seasons experience to anyone who appreciates a relaxing stay in a sophisticated, world class hotel!
