Visited Sams Town last January and went back this January. A wonderful stay again. It is a great value for your money. Lots of specials always. The check in and check was fast and wonderfullly courteous. The evening light show is beautiful. Quiet rooms and clean. A little off the strip but definately worth the drive. Visit there when you are in town. You'll be glad you did.

Don't Casinos make a ton of money? So why charge a $4.99 charge for hooking up WiFi in your room so you can check your e-mails? Mom & Pop Motel, Food Stores and Fast Food Restaurants will let you browse for FREE. Another money grab is the extra $5 bucks called a "Resort Fee" Ya right. Why add a small but irritating fee on top of everything? Show are expensive. Food is expensive like the Early Bird Special at Sam's for a low price of $13.99. Don't they want people to stay and play? I for one will not come back to Vegas again. Disappointing place. No I didn't lose a bunch of money and am being bitter. I just think someone needs to tell these accountants stop taking the fun out of Las Vegas.

This was my first stay at Sam's. I am a B Connected rate and got a $22 rate. Their resort fee is a very low 4.50. This hotel is off the strip and has a free shuttle to Harrah's on the strip. The check in process was easy, we got there 9pm so there was no line. My check in person was friendly. My two sisters checked in separately and they put us next to each other which was nice. We had a 5 year old, 14 year old, and 20 year old. They of course could not gamble, but there is a movie theater, bowling alley, and cute light show. My sister played $20 on the penny slots and won $362 which we loved. We were screaming and laughing. I played $20 and promptly lost it all. My other sister who was having a birthday played $10 SAMs had given her and won $102. None of us are gamblers, but like to shop and want to get discounts and comps to Vegas, so we signed up for the B connected card. The elevator area smells like a sewer. The rooms were pretty clean. The best meal I had was the 9.99 Billy Bobs steak and lobster on Thursday night. We had to show our B Connected cards. The Mexican restaurant has 1/2 price fajitas we'd and Thursday. They are open 4-9pm. We didn't get served because we went at 8:30 wednesday and they sat us, served drinks and nachos, but none of the servers would take the table! Don't seat people after 8:30 if you are afraid they won't leave by closing. We went to TGIF Fridays which has a happy hour at the bar of $6 appetizer and ultimate drinks, $5 sangria, and $3 beer selections. We asked for the special and the host told us it started in ten minutes, so we waited. We bowled Thursday and used coupons for buy one get 1 games, 7 people for $38. We all rented shoes and had two lanes. My nieces ate pizza and soda for $4. It was extremely fun, there were a lot of kids there, also bowling leagues. I went to see the pool which is outside and pretty nice. I can't wait to stay here in the spring and summer.

Spent 6 days at Sams Town Hotel and Casino. very nice place. i enjoyed myself because it was an easy atmosphere. Old time las vegas! if you want a change of pace from the fast living Vegas Strip, try Sams Town. not the best part of Vegas but as long as you stay in, you will be fine. always something to do there. would recommend it for a change of pace.

Room Tip: i am a smoker, so the top floor is smoking. only bad part of that was the elevators are not that fas...

Needed a last minute deal for my stay during CES week. Although the property is about a 10-15 minute drive off the strip, the $40/night deal I got during that week was a steal. Rates on the strip for something comparable were going for about $250/night. I would recommend this place for those with a car, they do however have a free shuttle service. There is a resort fee of $ 4.50/night that they don't really tell you about. Wifi is an addition $4.50/day/device.

Pros: Rooms are clean, the employees are friendly, they have a bowling alley, a movie theatre, a nice water show and a good buffet.

Cons: bed not that comfortable (the pillows were) and casino way too smokey. A bit of a drive from all the action.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. Would recommend to those who frequently visit LV. If you have a car just take flamingo all the way down for about 10-15 minutes to get to the strip.

Sam's Town is clean and the staff is very friendly. The center forest is perfect for sitting with a cup of coffee or a drink. The laser show has imagination and is performed often. Close enough to the strip with a shuttle bus made the stay convient.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the center courtyard.

We just needed a night at a place to get us thru as we were traveling home, Nothing fancy, just something clean for the night but cheap. So I booked on line from another hotel as we were leaving on Price line. We were giving our key to our room at 9pm, everyone was very pleasant and off went to the 9th floor. As we open the door we notice a very large jacuzzi, a king size bed, a large TV, brass everywhere, 3 huge windows over looking a water fall out side. At first we thought we had the wrong room, but that wasn't even the beginning of it, Over to the side was another door, we went thru it, and we had a suite! A 60 in. TV, leather couches, chairs, a bar, frig, table for 4 and another entrance with a double door. We checked the account online for our room and we paid what we had asked for on Price line so it wasn't the $500. a night it could have been! It was amazing! The best part of the whole thing and I know Sam's Town didn't know this but it was our 42 Anniversary so is was the best one ever!!!

Room Tip: I can't say any thing bad!!! It was room 109!
