My wife and I were comp'd rooms for the weekend so we booked them. We were new to this hotel but had stayed within this casino many years ago under the prevous name of "Fitzgeralds". The hotel is aiming to bring in the younger trendy style gambler, loud music, "go go dancers and larger bar area....just my style. But the new owners are 'nickle and dime' their customers. The drinks are more expensive then there neigboring casinos, the additional tax for wifi and other hotel ammenitites. The hotel has been remodeled but its still the same old :Fitz". I enjoyed the weekend but it was comp'd

Room Tip: need to ask for room away from fremont street...very noisy last at night.

We appreciate the feedback from your recent stay. It's unfortunate to hear you feel our drink prices are too high and we'll be taking your comments into consideration. The resort fee that we charge includes WiFi, local & toll-free calls as well as $10 of tickets to our showroom. Thank you for the review and we hope you'll join us again.

We just return home from 5 days at The D. All I can say is what a great time! The rooms are all redecorated. The staff caters to your every need. There is no smokey smell in the casino. Andiamo's, The D Grill and American Coney Island all had outstanding food and service. The owner is very visible and even bought us a drink. We already have plane tickets for a trip in February to Las Vegas and will be staying at The D!

My wife and I went to vegas for our honeymoon that we did not get to take at time of wedding. We went with another couple and WOW even though they are still remodeling the staff made it very enjoyable. The casino was great as were all the shows and the restuarants in the motel

Room Tip: Great motel downtown on Fremont Street...the Fremont experience is really worth seeing.

I visited this hotel in July on a business trip. I have never been to Vegas so it was an experience in itself. The entrance was a bit hard to find because of all the construction. We were able to check in without any hassle. The room was very nice and clean and had a decent view of Vegas. One thing I could not believe is that even though they offered Wi-Fi, you had to pay for it! It must be a common thing in Las Vegas. It is right on Fremont Street so beware of a lot of night life activity. Overall a decent experience.

Your feedback is appreciated and we apologize for the construction. We were in the midst of revamping our valet area, which has now been completed. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall. The WiFi is part of the resort fee, and resort fees have now become the standard in Vegas. Thank you for the review and we hope you'll join us again on your next trip to Vegas!

Spent 6 days in the "The D" to make a change from the strip, great price, good location short walk to Fremont Street. Hotel itself is good. Pros: close to bars & casinos. No smoke smell in casino. Very friendly staff. No noisy from bars on Fremont street. Cons: No fridge. No tea or coffee making facilities in room, you have to get dressed go down to ground floor between 6-9am to get one. At night you wait at the bar for 15-20mins to order & pay for a coffee, not what you want to do after a long day out. Valet was slow waited quite a while for our car every time, seems like not enough staff on duty. Great place for one or two days only. Next time will go back to the strip more to see & do within walking distance.

I've stayed at at The D four times and each time I've been highly satisfied. The price is great and the location is perfect. The staff has always been great as well. The rooms were recently upgraded, so even though they aren't elegant, they are very comfortable. The only issue is that sometimes, Fremont street is very noisy, but I don't expect much sleep in Vegas anyway. The D is great!

My wife and I we come here twice a year at "The D". We enjoy coming. Last year I wrote a review that you had no room service and recommended to have it only in the morning. The reason is who want to wake up early in the morning to get dress to go the 2nd floor to order and wait to get breakfast and then take it up to the room. This time it's getting better. We order our food in our room, then they will call us back to let us know it ready for US to pick it up and no waiting..Why can they just bring it up to our room..We will tip them..Just have room service in the morning only.... Second..no pool but I heard it was being fix or repair..I am ok with that. Third..elevator I was told it was being fix in a good way..had no problem with that issue either...Fourth..cold water no hot water when my wife was taking a shower..she was not a happy camper...Fifth..pillow..need more or fuller pillow....Just hope that went we come back for the superbowl everything will be fix. Yes I will come back...reason..the staff are very friendly and my wife feel safe when she has to go back to her room by herself. P.S. just have room service in the morning at certain hours...You will help me out alot by me not getting dress with a hangover to pick up my wife breakfast..lol...

We appreciate the feedback and will be taking your suggestions into consideration. We apologize for the lack of hot water, that is a very unfortunate rarity and we understand your frustration. We are still making improvements throughout the hotel and the pool is on the short list. Also, we have recently installed a brand new elevator system which will alleviate the wait time for our guests. Thank you for the review and we are looking forward to seeing you on your next visit!
