“great location - no negative comments”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

Read mixed reviews on PH & now we have stayed understand some but not all. Firstly the hotel is in a brilliant location , it has a good casino & great mall. The dealings I had with any staff were minimal but all were nice enough. The rooms are a good size as are the bathrooms with two sinks , shower , bath & WC . Having toured the other hotels whilst there there are some that are nicer & some that aren't but that's reflected in the price you pay.
If you want somewhere fun , lively & in the middle of the action & price range , PH can be for you. I would have no problem staying there again .

Room Tip: try & get a high floor we were on 16 , so that and above for good views

I know most of the hotels in Vegas have long walks from parking to registration to send you by restaurants, etc. but Planet Hollywood goes out of it's way, making you walk at least 1/2 mile from the parking to get to the hotel thru the miracle mile shops. Not only that, but my "upgraded" room was next to the elevators, which kept me awake all night, the shower drain was clogged, and the "Strip View" was barely a view at all. I left after one night, I will NOT be returning to this hotel. Paris Hotel, next door, is much better.

Id read some so so reviews of this hotel and was nervous about staying here at first. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The casino wasn't nearly as noisy / smoky as described by others. I found Caesars casino to be way smokier. The rooms were large and really clean. The bathrooms are massive. Great location on the strip. Dead opposite bellagio and a great mall downstairs. The only downside would be that the spice market buffet is pretty average, early check in fee is a bit of a joke considering my friends staying at other hotels weren't charged this and the wifi is only free for one device... Apart from that it was a really great place to stay for the price. Id come back again.

Great location - nice, spacious rooms. Reasonable rates. Our friends had issues with their rooms ( what they booked/paid for was no longer available) also the spa employee no showed them and it was the morning of their wedding....... Not cool. Management had a "so what" attitude.
A mall is attached to the hotel. I recommend PBR Bar , Fat Tuesday and Cabo WABO
In spite of our friends having issues and management not helping...Yea- I'd stay here again!!

From November 23-28, 2013 I stayed here. Problems:
- Paid for a King but upon when we got to the room it was to queens with a total crap view of the air conditioners on the roof. We complained as they said they had NO OTHER AVAILABLE rooms that night. Really? But they still charged full pop for the room ($200 per night).
- Zero show deals. Other hotels were giving away promos to shows for their guests, not this place.
- Not much in the way of restaurants or bars. Other hotels seemed to be more exciting with a greater variety of things to do.
- Generally speaking, the people working here were all difficult to get along with and unwilling to do much in the way of customer service. I stayed with about 600 other golfers during this time and this seemed to be a common complaint so it wasn't just me. Guests seemed to get a hard time wherever they went by hotel staff.
- I would suggest staying somewhere else that will try harder for your business instead of taking it for granted.

We stayed at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas for a long weekend! We found the Hotel extremely busy and although we enjoyed our stay. On the Sunday our room was not serviced so complained at 4pm and they finally sent someone at 7pm but as we were busy getting ready for dinner told them to forget it. Also found the Hotel was full of very rowdy youngsters but other than that it was situated very convenient and also had loads of restaurants and shops around. So if I do stay there again would rather go on weekdays.

My daughter and her best friend and I went to Las Vegas for 5 days. We stayed at planet Hollywood. It was an all around good stay! Great location. Room was pretty good. No coffee maker in the room but a Starbucks downstairs in the lobby. It was always pretty busy but there was another by the casino. All the staff we encountered were great. Just be sure to have good walking shoes! Also go see Marc savard right at the hotel. He's a hypnotist and he is hilarious ! Must see!! Also saw Terry Fator. And Zarkana! Well worth the money! Wax museum was good. Very good girls trip!
