My family stayed here 3 nights in June 2013 as part of a family reunion. I was a little worried because the walkways to the rooms were a little dark and dirty, but then I found the rooms to be clean, large, and very comfortable. The pool had a layer of leaves when we checked in, but every time we went swimming, it was very clean. The price was excellent. There are no gambling machines, so this is a very family-friendly place. I would recommend it, and would stay here again.

I found The Alexis Park through Trip Advisor having searched for ages for a reasonably priced hotel in Las Vegas. I wanted a hotel without the usual LV trimmings like wall to wall slot machines and casino tables. The Alexis fitted the bill perfectly.
The prices are excellent, breakfast is first class and most of the staff can not do enough to make your stay comfortable, the primary reason for this is down to the management and particularly the hotel manager Angela Loy. With top management like Angela there is no surprise that The Alexis is as successful as it is. If you are looking for a comfortable suite with good facilities, value for money prices and welcoming staff look no further in Las Vegas, this is it.

Like something out of a horror film we arrived at the property to find caution tape wrapped around the perimeter of the pool with a health code warning and a clearly visible film of slime floating on the surface which was gnarly, but only the beginning of what we would encounter next in our room. We entered and proceeded to settle in when we saw yellow, maggot, worm-like larvae, inching their way across the kitchen counter, first, 1, then 2, then 3, then we realized they were EVERYWHERE! on the walls, on the ceiling, literally falling from it- the most creepy, horrifying experience ever! Before we knew it they were on our luggage, on our clothes, even creeping across my eyeglass frames on the nightstand. The kids were screaming! We called the front desk clerk who acted baffled, yeah right, it was obvious this was not an isolated incident and it was somehow connected to the pool closure, he offered to move our room, but we still insisted on having someone inspect it. Maintenance came and didn't share the same disbelief, as it was obvious they had an ongoing battle with these things, he brought us to an upstairs room where he said, it "should be better". In route, we saw hundreds and hundreds of these larvae on the walls, stairs, railings, etc...We demanded our money back and left. We still don't know what they were or how many others endured this, but I would steer clear, considering the unsanitary conditions, not to mention the location and presence of the homeless and crackheads, which would've actually been tolerable... In regards to the worms, we do have pictures!

Room Tip: Inspect for bugs first!

Hi
For someone who does not want to spend much time in the hotel, just a good bed and clean sheets and towels it is very good.

I stayed many times in this place, its quiet in general, unless they have a wedding, the place is old looks like at least 20-30 years, but they keep on renovating, the grounds are very nice taken care off,
the staff is very accommodating on special needs, groups or religious gatherings

My wife and I stayed here for an event with a group of people. I was dubious, but the price was right, $79 a night.

Our room was a king suite. It had a living room and bedroom separated by a door. There was a kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. Everything looked recently renovated. The bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. Parking is convenient to your building.

Security was visible in yellow shirts and on bicycles. There were three pools. The workout room was better than many I have used. The coffee shop was basic. There is a bar.

To be sure this is not a luxury hotel. We did not pay for opulence.

There is no casino. The Hard Rock is across the street.

These appear to be converted apts. Outside hallways were dark on the first floor. The units look about 20-30 yrs old esp the bathroom. So unimpressed that I didn't take one picture. Seemed to be a "party place". Had to get management to quite down party noise by our room at 1 am. Won't stay here again.

This is a great little hotel a few blocks off the strip and right across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino.

It was a really reasonable rate and was a quiet nice stay. It appears that the rooms range from really nice to nice, depending on the kind you book and when it was remodeled. I think this must have been an apartment complex at one point. It had that feel. It is older and has been updated. The rooms are large and suite like. Though it is an older property, which means there is some where and tear, they keep it up well.

The pools are really nice, though cold if you are there in the evening or on a less warm day. The staff is friendly and the lobby very nice.

We asked for a quiet room and good one on the canal side. The view and canal was not very nice, but it was quiet. I think the rooms on the other side of the hotel would be a bit better. The housekeeping was unobtrusive and did a good job. I do think the carpets could use a bath, but otherwise all was good. Very comfortable seating area. Two TVs, one in seating kitchen area and one in the bedroom. We didn't have a microwave and didn't need one, but the woman who checked us in said that we could just call and they would bring us one, so that was nice. The fridge was large and the bar area stored a lot.

When we asked for extra towels we were given them in just a few minutes. Extra bedding was in the closet and there were several size pillows to choose from.

Overall a great experience in a very expensive town.
