This review is an honest unbiased review for people wanting info on the Circus Circus. We stayed here for two weeks, our first time in Vegas.
We travelled as two couples and arrived at check in and had a wait of around 10 minutes to check in. We asked for rooms on the same floor and they were very helpful and gave us connecting rooms in the Skyrise tower.
We were given a map and found our room very easily. It was on the 27th floor of the Skyrise with a great view of the strip.
When we booked we asked for King bed rooms but arrived to our rooms and it was two queen beds. This would annoy some people but the beds were plenty big enough and we decided not to complain. The room was clean and the maids did a great job every day cleaning and renewing towes and supplies in the bathroom.
The hotel is old, however some of the things that people complain about on here are just pathetic.
It is not the best decorated casino. It isn't the nicest lobby, it has not got the best buffet/restaurants however it is clean and does a great job for the price.
The people complaining about kids in the Circus Circus need to get a grip. I do not have kids and I am not a big fan of kids. We were there two weeks and over memorial weekend. It was very busy. Lots of kids around and not once did they bother me one bit. I wasn't woken up once by any exterior noise. The lifeguards around the pool stopped any kids doing anything silly or dangerous. People forget that kids are kids and they are on their holidays too.
Circus Circus is in a good location. It might cost you a bit more in buses and taxis but we didn't mind the half hour walk up to Centre Strip.
The only negatives I have are Customer Service at Circus Circus is a bit hit and miss. Some of the people that work there are brilliant some are just plain rude.
All in all a fantastic two weeks away at the Circus Circus and would definitely recommend to people on a budget.
Some people on here expect the Bellagio or the Wynn for their $50 dollars a night they are willing to spend on a room. They belong in Circus the clowns!

Fun place to stay with kids. Good breakfast buffet. Not far from main attractations though I was concerned at first. Clean comfortable rooms.

Nothing spectacular about the hotel. I had prepaid via a travel site in conjunction with Southwest Airlines. Upon arrival , and after a very long check-in line, I was informed there was a mandatory daily "resort fee" , for which you receive a worthless coupon book. In my opinion, the Steakhouse is old and overpriced. Lastly, if you can negotiate the labyrinthian maze to the pool you are a better person than me.
I would not recommend this hotel.

We pick here because of the price for the time we were looking for in Vegas. We did upgrade on arrival and glad we did. We had a room on the 25th flr in the west tower. It gave us a ok view of the strip. If people are keeping it cheap,i wouldn't upgrade. More than likely you'll get the rooms across the road from the main casino part. It has easy access to the swimming pools. They look decent from the outside.

What we didnt like really was the amount of kids in the hotel. They are loads! And they are noisy! If that doesnt bother you really then your ok. I would also add a car would be very useful in Vegas, the strip is long enough and nobody wants to walk in the desert heat. You could park the car in any casino and leave it there overnight with no problems..

We found the buffet pretty decent in the hotel as well, Ive seen here people has slated it. But my advise would be to arrive early and you'd be ok. They have plenty of a selection, Chinese,Italian,American and a good seafood selection. Its around $17 each for dinner. We ate in it twice and both times enjoyed it.

We also ate in the diner downstairs. Pasta dish is pretty good as well, use the voucher they give you at reception and you'll get 2 mains for the price of one. We were full for the day after the pasta..

So all in all i dont think people should give this hotel a miss, you pay for what you get.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room high up in the hotel away from a family area with loads of kids. This way it wont be as noisy during your stay..

The check-in receptionist Anita, was phenominal. The buffet is excellent for the price. The room was clean and comfortable. Very decent place to stay for the money. Excellent value!

Room Tip: Ask for a jacuzzi tub!
